Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 691: -137- Goodbye Badak (6000 words)

Charlotte stepped down from the carriage, curiously examining the residence of the Nais Clan.

This was her first visit to a major stronghold of the Bloodline, and she had to admit, the fortress complex of the Nais Clan closely resembled the vampire lair she had pictured.

Fog, castle, dead trees, graves, crows, bats…

One could find almost every imaginable element here.

Oh, right.

And Stone-statue Ghosts.

In the world of Mireya, the Bloodline favored summoning or crafting these puppet monsters for protection and surveillance.

Charlotte quickly noticed the eighteen menacing Stone-statue Ghosts around the teleportation square.

They resembled ghouls with bat wings, their crimson eyes staring directly at Charlotte.

A hoarse, mechanical voice emanated from their fierce beaks:

"Warning! Warning! Unfamiliar Bloodline detected! Unfamiliar Bloodline detected!"

"Analyzing aura… Identifying…"

"Identifying… Failed! Threat level… substantial threat!"

"Unfamiliar Lord, please declare your identity and purpose! Otherwise… you will face an attack from the Nais Stone-statue guardians!"

Under the "Saint State," Charlotte almost instantly saw through the essence of these Stone-statue Ghosts:

"Tsk, so it is, capturing High Tier Transcendents, erasing their will from their souls, and infusing it into stone to create puppet monsters…"

It had to be said, the foundation of the Nais Clan was indeed quite profound.

In Charlotte's perception, each of these eighteen Stone-statue Ghosts possessed combat power of the Blazing Sun Level.

Moreover, their distribution was systematic, subtly aligned with the array on the ground which also could form an enhancement similar to a Magic Energy Formation.

And an Array combined from eighteen Blazing Suns was undoubtedly something even Legends would not dare provoke.

Charlotte looked at these Stone-statue Ghosts with great interest.

She did not declare her identity directly, but instead calmly stated:

"Pass the message to Badak that an old acquaintance is visiting."

The Stone-statue Ghosts were obviously confounded by Charlotte's words.

After she finished speaking, they seemed to glitch momentarily, then a deep, hoarse voice arose again:

"Lord Badak… old acquaintance…"

"Error…"

"No appointment detected, deemed as invalid…"

"Initiating emergency magic program…"

"Unfolding… Forcibly dispelling!"

The moment they finished speaking, the eighteen Stone-statue Ghosts spread their bat wings, their bodies flickered with red light igniting a layer of sinister Magic Pattern.

Their aura surged instantly, and without further words, they charged directly at Charlotte.

Seeing the Stone-statue Ghosts attack without prelude, Charlotte sighed and said to Yulster, who was already looking away:

"It seems… the puppet lifeforms of the Nais Clan are not very intelligent."

Yulster: …

He was momentarily at a loss on how to continue the conversation started by his ancestor.

The attack of the Stone-statue Ghosts arrived in an instant.

Their eyes lit up, emitting thirty-six red beams from their eyes, forming a large three-dimensional network from different positions, blocking all of Charlotte's possible escape routes.

Charlotte slightly raised her eyebrow.

She could feel the astonishing energy contained in those beams.

However… she did not feel threatened.

Moreover, even though the beams were fast, in Charlotte's view, they seemed slow.

It felt… as if she could stop all the beams with just one hand if she wanted.

That was not an illusion.

Because under the "Saint State," Charlotte's speed was indeed faster.

Almost reflexively, Charlotte extended her right hand.

With a light wave of her hand, the beams coming from all directions were all blocked by her.

No, it would be more accurate to say, the energy was gathered into her hand.

It was certainly energy—Charlotte could feel the heat and restlessness in her hand, even under the "Saint State," it felt slightly hot, like touching water around fifty to sixty degrees Celsius in her previous life.

This was enough to indicate how dreadful the Stone-statue Ghosts' beams were.

Keeping in mind, under the "Saint State," Charlotte's physical body had almost reached divine heights, and with divine power protection, attacks below Legendary level could hardly breach her defenses.

To feel hot, this meant the beams were indeed at a level that could threaten Legends.

She decided to release them, throwing the energy back:

"These things… you should keep them yourselves."

Almost instantly, thirty-six beams of red light were thrown back by Charlotte, almost retracing their original paths.

The beams sliced through the necks of the Stone-statue Ghosts, severing their heads.

Eighteen fierce heads rolled on the ground, the crimson light in their eyes gradually extinguishing, while their bodies developed web-like cracks, ultimately collapsing completely.

Seeing this scene, Yulster also tensed and looked at Charlotte with even more awe.

He knew the True Ancestor was strong and that these Stone-statue Ghosts were no match for the True Ancestor.

But he had not anticipated the True Ancestor's powers had recovered to such an extent.

Perhaps Charlotte was not aware, and even many in the Nais Clan were not quite familiar, but as an early third-generation Bloodline, Yulster knew the details about these Stone-statue Ghosts.
