Blood and Ember

"The man here? I'm not sure what his problem is but he wanted something from me. He said he wanted my blood" I said while the captain was asking me to recall what happened.

We were still in the alley at this point. I wanted to be anywhere but there. The captain was emitting a feeling of unpleasantness but I don't think that's how she feels. 

"Your blood?" She replied.

"Yeah I'm not even sure what he wants with it but I'm pretty sure he didn't get any samples of my blood. Hey also I wanted to ask what's your name? I know your a captain but I don't know your name" I asked.

"Oh yes sorry I forgot to say but I'm Captain Hikari" she said with a smile.

Oh yes, she's Captain Hikari. I remember now she was the one who defeated the lieutenant who went rogue and massacred a village up north. What was she doing down here?

"I'm Elara. So now that we've finished introducing each other, may I ask why you are here in Housoy?" I asked respectfully. 

Captain Hikari's eyes softened, her expressions were as if she were analyzing me. She has dark blue eyes with platinum blonde hair and a little scar on her cheek that look as if it was fresh. She was around my height of 5,6 ft and she wasn't particularly muscular or skinny she looked like you average women. She finally took her gaze off of me and looked around the area.

"Ah yes, I came here on important Captain business for one of my commanding officers. He told me that the person I'm looking for should have dark black hair and long, dark brown eyes, and wear clothes I've probably never seen. I'm just wondering, have you seen anyone who fits that description?" She asked.

My eyes opened in shock because as it turns I've seen someone that fit that description not more than 20 minutes ago. Why does he have business with the captains? Who wants him?

"As it turns out, yes I've seen someone who fits that description" I replied.

A bright smile came on Captain Hikari's face. She looked like she's been waiting for someone to know something about this guy.

"Thank you so much I've been looking for this man for the past week in Housoy and there has not been a single person who's seen him till I met you" she said ecstatically. 

Captain Hikari puts both her hands on my shoulders pushing me pack and forth.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY PLACES HE MAY BE AT THE MOMENT?" She shouted in my face.

Wow Captain Hikari is nothing as I thought she would be. She was made to be seen as a cold person in the newspapers but in reality she's pretty outgoing.

"Um yes I know a place he went to" I replied while she was still shaking me.

"Could you please take your hands off me? I'll go with you to the place" I asked. 

She took her hands off of me and bowed respectfully. She stood right back up and placed her hand out.

"Elara. I will need your help with finding this man. I know you can at least buy up somewhat of a decent fight so you'll be safe as long as I'm here please lend me your assistance" she said.

Somewhat? I was held down by a man. I didn't stand a chance against that man but if we run into him again I'll do better. I took my hand out and shook Captain Hikari's hand.

"I'll be glad to help you out" I said.

Hikari's eyes shot wide open with a big bright smile. She ran over to me and hugged me tight. I'm kind of surprised how someone would hug me willingly. I've never been treated like this by a stranger. Is this how it feels not to be seen as some demon?

"U-uh you can let go now" I said with my face all red.

She released me from her prison called a hug. She was quite strong without looking muscular.

"Ok anyways the place where I saw the man is this one bar I got to because it's the only place that'll serve me" 

"Why is that? Is it because you have the blood of the Queen of darkness? That's pretty unfair" she said with her fingers on her chin as if she was thinking about something.

"So you knew?" I replied.

"I knew before I even met you. I sensed you in the vicinity but that strange aura wasn't you from before but it was something from the alley that I'm not sure about it could have been someone else nearby… but whoever that was was someone strong" she said with a face that looked as if she was worried.

"Alright then let's head to the bar he might be there if we get there on time" I said.

"Alright then what are we waiting for let's head to the bar. Now lead the way!" she said smiling once again.

"O-okay follow me"
