Bleach: The Invincible Slacker from Rukongai

Chapter 322: Finding the Cause of the Crack

Seeing the man's pupils gradually dilate as his life faded away and his body fell lifeless in front of him, Uehara Shiroha shook his head with a mixture of regret and helplessness.

If the true cause of these dangerous cracks cannot be discovered and resolved as soon as possible, he fears that more and more people will suffer the same tragic fate.

The man's luck had been relatively good, at least he had encountered Uehara Shiroha who was capable of ending his suffering mercifully and quickly. Otherwise, he would have inevitably transformed into one of these mindless low-level Hollows, doomed to wander aimlessly through the outer circle for eternity.

And if he had been particularly unlucky, he would have eventually been devoured by a high-level Hollow just like the low-level Hollow they had witnessed earlier.

The appearance of high-level Hollows in the outer circle was completely beyond Uehara Shiroha's expectations and understanding of how Hueco Mundo operated. Given this unexpected development, he knew he needed to proceed with much greater caution.

Uehara Shiroha recalled the established route to the inner circle from his previous knowledge. Since there was clearly some kind of crack or rupture in the dimensional barriers, it would most likely be located at the junction between the outer circle and the inner circle.

As Uehara Shiroha carefully avoided these dangerous high-level Hollows along his journey, he suddenly received another special mission notification from his system.

The objective of this new mission aligned perfectly with his current goals. As long as he could successfully locate and repair the cracks between the inner and outer circles, his Hogyoku would be upgraded to an even higher level of power.

The original reason he had come to the outer circle was to use the spiritual energy from these low-level areas to enhance his Hogyoku, so this special mission arrived at the perfect time.

However, the difficulty of the task was proving to be far beyond what Uehara Shiroha had initially imagined, primarily because he had no idea what could have possibly caused these dimensional cracks to appear between the inner and outer circles in the first place.

Uehara Shiroha gripped his Zanpakuto firmly and moved forward step by careful step, not daring to relax his vigilance for even a moment, constantly alert for any potential ambush or unexpected attack from the shadows.

His subconscious reaction was naturally to avoid any unnecessary contact with other beings in this area - he simply needed to complete his mission efficiently and without complications.

When he was approaching the border between the inner circle and the outer circle, Uehara Shiroha noticed what appeared to be a group of people gathered in the distance.

The fewer complications and distractions during the mission execution process, the better his chances of success would be.

Uehara Shiroha did his absolute best to avoid attracting the attention of these individuals, but despite his efforts, they still managed to detect his presence and whereabouts.

The person who approached to speak with Uehara Shiroha was a tall and thin man who took the initiative to introduce himself politely.

"Allow me to introduce myself properly. My name is Raymond."

"Are you also here to carry out some kind of mission in the outer circle? Would it be convenient for you to join our group?"

Uehara Shiroha smiled diplomatically and waved his hand in polite refusal.

"Thanks for the offer, but my mission is relatively simple and straightforward. It shouldn't require any teamwork or group coordination."

"You guys continue with whatever you're doing. I just need to find the dimensional cracks and repair them."

After saying that, Uehara Shiroha turned around and began to walk away, but Raymond called out to him from behind with obvious interest.

"Wait a moment! Are you saying that you're also here to repair the dimensional cracks? Then our mission objectives are exactly the same!"

When Uehara Shiroha heard this revelation, he stopped in his tracks and thought about the implications carefully with a deepening frown.

If this guy wasn't lying to him, then he would need to significantly speed up his efforts and repair the crack before these people could complete their mission, otherwise his task would be stolen by others and he would lose the valuable rewards.

With this concerning thought in mind, Uehara Shiroha chose not to respond directly, instead continuing to walk forward with renewed determination. Raymond spoke again, this time with a more urgent tone.

"You won't be able to accomplish this alone!"

Uehara Shiroha smiled with a mixture of amusement and helplessness, turning around to address the persistent stranger.

"I think this is the first time we've ever met, so you have no basis for such assumptions. Just because you and your team can't handle it doesn't automatically mean that I can't handle it either."

"These high-level Hollows pose absolutely no real threat to someone of my capabilities. The only reason I choose to avoid them is simply because I don't want to waste valuable time and energy dealing with them unnecessarily."

Raymond continued with growing concern in his voice.

"But these aren't ordinary high-level Hollows. They don't possess the typical level of destructive power you'd expect from standard Hollows."
