Chapter 275 - You can't lore dump on me like that
"So what are you truly doing here anyway? I'm sure it wasn't to bring back Zynoth's head." Lilith assumed. She and Zion, as well we the entire army, were now on their way to Vorzathior's territory.
"Nah, I'm here to mess around with the Nexus Pool in the demon world. I just got done merging Luminera's and Erebosa's power into the Nexus pool back in the middle world, so I have to do the same here. Well, make the demon world one all Erebosa and the angelic world one all Luminera."
"So you arent here to see me take over the demon world?"
"What? Why would I care about that?"
She slapped the back of his head.
"Ow! Stop hitting me!"
"You're a jerk, you know that." Lilith pouted her cheeks and crossed her arms. "You remind me of your father."
Zion's eyebrow shot up, and he looked at Lilith with a confused expression.
"My father?" He asked.
She smiled and nodded. "That's right. His name was Lyzaroth. He was the king of the Incubus, my king, my husband."
"Woah! You can't just drop some insane lore on me like that. Come on, spill everything." Zion still didn't care about his father, but knowing about him was interesting since he literally knew nothing about him.
Would learning about him make Zion feel love for the man? Not in the slightest. But perhaps there was a small part of him that thought it would be nice to at least know who the man was.
"Wait, you said his name was Lyzaroth? That's not the name I recall him going by."
"Ahh. He used an alias when he was living in the middle world. During that time, people knew who he was and what he looked like, so he changed his name and appearance."
"Why was he even in the middle world?" Zion wondered.
"Well..." Lilith explained his role in the Great War ten thousand years ago.
"That makes sense. Why didn't get just go back home, though?"
From what Zion managed to catch, it looked as if Lilith's expression had shifted into one of sadness and heartache. But that quickly faded away.
"He was injured. Lyzaroth was originally an Archdemon, but Azmorath betrayed him since Lyzaroth lost to Circe at the time. Because of that, he was left for dead and entered hibernation to reserve his power until your mother found him some years later, but because of the barrier being placed by the gods that restricted travel between the worlds, he had to stay in the middle world, so he made a life there."
"Woah, woah! Slow down. My mom? What does she have to do with this? This is like 10,000 years ago."
"Ohh, that's right. You don't know about your heritage."
"Great, more lore that's dropped on me." He rolled his eyes.
"Basically, your mother hails from a long-lived group of people who can only birth women. She found Lyzaroth around 5,000 years after the war, and they fell in love, had your sisters, then eventually had you."
"Wait, wait! 5,000 years?! My mom is like 50 years old."
Lilith burst out laughing so hard that it genuinely shocked Zion.
"Is that what she told you? Haha, Zaleena has always been insecure about her age. Your mother is 5,151 years old. Your sisters are 3,000 and 1,000 years old, respectively."
"W-What?!" Zion's world came crashing down on him. "W-What about me? Am I like 300 years old?"
"Nah, you're 19."
"FUCK YOU!"
"Ask your mom for the rest of the details. I'm sure she'll finally be glad to get everything off her chest."
"And what about you?" Zion asked
"What about me?"
"I'm the son of your husband. Are you not upset that he remarried and had other kids?"
"What? No. I'm a succubus. Cheating is like our whole thing. Well, I don't have sex with other men anymore, not after your father was hurt, but still. I wasn't upset that he remarried; I was upset that he couldn't come home. And the worst part about all of this is that he died when you were born. If he could have waited just 20 more years, I would have seen him again."
Zion thought about what she had said. And yeah, it was true. The sheer number of things he accomplished over his life led to the demon world being accessible again. He understood Lilith's pain.
"You know." Lilith wiped a tear from her face. "When I first sensed your power, I thought you were him. This was back when you faced Olzak. I was going to arrive then, but Erebosa informed me of everything after the fact. I knew about your mom and sisters, but not about you at the time."
"That must have been tough," Zion said quietly.
"Yeah. Do you wish you could have met him?" She wondered.
"Nah. I don't feel a damn thing for him. Never have, and never will. But as his son, it's only right for me to avenge my father, right? I've already killed Circe, so Azmorath is next."
"Pwahahaha! Oh god! You're definitely Lyzaroth's son. He was the same way when we were young. Oh man, I guess blood is thicker than water."
Zion smiled. He flew in front of Lilith. "You know," Wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her in close. "While I may not be my father, I'm sure I can fill the void you've been missing for the past 10,000 years."
"Oh, hush, boy. You're just a horny kid." She pushed him off.
"Lilith," Zion called out to her in a serious tone.
"Yes?"
"You're mine. After everything is over, you'll be my woman. There's no escaping that fate."
She smiled, feeling her heart pounding fast. "Well, then, if you want to make me your wife, then you better not die, dear."
'Oh yeah, I'm breeding the fuck out of her once I get the chance!'
Eventually, they all arrived at Vorzathior's territory and commenced their attack.
