Chapter 6: Chapter 6: An Unexpected Adventure
One lazy afternoon, Shina, Itachi, and Shisui were lounging by the river that ran through the Uchiha compound. Shisui was skipping stones, Itachi was meditating quietly, and Shina, of course, was lying on his back with a blade of grass in his mouth, staring up at the sky.
"You know," Shisui said, breaking the silence, "we've been stuck in the compound for weeks. Don't you think it's time we went on an adventure?"
Itachi opened one eye. "Father said we shouldn't leave the compound without permission."
"Exactly," Shina said, waving a hand. "Let's not. Adventures are just a fancy way of saying 'trouble.'"
Shisui smirked. "Oh, come on, Shina-nii. Don't tell me you're scared of a little fun."
Shina scoffed. "Scared? Please. I just prefer my fun to be snack-related."
But Shisui wasn't taking no for an answer. Grinning mischievously, he leaned down and whispered to Itachi, who nodded and stood. Before Shina could react, the two of them grabbed his arms and hoisted him to his feet.
"Alright, Shina-nii," Shisui said, "you're coming with us whether you like it or not!"
---
The trio sneaked out of the compound and made their way into the surrounding forest. Shisui led the way, a spring in his step, while Shina trudged along reluctantly, muttering about how naps were being sacrificed for "nonsense."
After some time, they stumbled upon a clearing where a group of local kids was gathered around a makeshift arena. In the center was a giant boar, looking irritated and very out of place.
"What's going on here?" Itachi asked, tilting his head.
One of the kids turned to them. "This boar wandered down from the mountains, and now it's wrecking everything! We were going to chase it off, but it's too strong."
Shisui's eyes lit up. "An adventure and a challenge? Count me in!"
Shina groaned. "Oh no. Nope. No way. I'm not fighting a boar. You know what boars have? Tusks. You know what tusks do? They skewer people."
But Shisui was already stepping into the arena, kunai in hand, and Itachi followed close behind, activating his Sharingan.
"Why do I even bother?" Shina muttered, dragging his feet as he joined them.
---
The boar charged, its massive frame barreling toward Shisui. He dodged gracefully, landing a few precise blows that only seemed to make the creature angrier. Itachi followed up with a perfectly aimed shuriken, but the boar shrugged it off and kept charging.
"That's one tough boar," Shisui said, flipping out of the way.
"Itachi, any ideas?" Shina asked, standing far behind them.
Itachi frowned. "It's too strong to scare off with normal attacks. Maybe if we—"
Before he could finish, the boar turned its attention to Shina and charged straight at him.
Shina sighed. "Of course."
As the boar closed in, Shina reached into his pocket, pulled out a bag of chips, and tore it open. The crinkling sound stopped the boar in its tracks.
Everyone froze, watching as Shina crouched down and calmly poured the contents of the bag onto the ground. The boar sniffed the chips, grunted, and began eating.
"There," Shina said, brushing off his hands. "Crisis averted."
Shisui and Itachi stared at him, dumbfounded.
"You beat the boar… with snacks?" Shisui asked, laughing.
Shina smirked. "Snacks solve everything, my dear Shisui. Everything."
---
The kids cheered as the boar wandered back into the forest, satisfied with its unexpected treat. Shisui clapped Shina on the back. "You might be lazy, but you're a genius in your own weird way, Shina-nii."
Itachi nodded, a small smile on his lips. "Thank you, Shina-nii. That was… impressive."
Shina grinned. "Impressive? No, no, Itachi. That was what we call efficient. Work smarter, not harder."
