Chapter 5: Chapter 5: A Training Session (Gone Hilariously Wrong)
Shisui Uchiha was one of the most talented ninjas in the clan, known for his speed, charm, and, much to Shina's dismay, his relentless enthusiasm for training. Unlike Shina, who preferred naps and snacks, Shisui believed in honing his skills daily, and he often dragged Shina into sparring sessions.
One morning, Shisui appeared at Shina's favorite napping spot, hands on his hips and a mischievous grin on his face.
"Shina-nii, it's time," Shisui declared.
Shina peeked out from under his straw hat, already dreading what was coming. "Time for what?"
"For training, of course!" Shisui said brightly.
Shina groaned. "Can't you see I'm busy? I'm in the middle of an extremely important nap."
Shisui grabbed Shina by the arm, pulling him to his feet. "Nope! You're coming with me. Itachi's joining too, so you can't let your little brother outshine you."
Itachi, standing nearby with his usual calm expression, gave a small bow. "I think it'll be good for us, Shina-nii."
Shina sighed dramatically. "Fine. But if I pull a muscle, I'm blaming you, Shisui."
---
The trio made their way to the training grounds, where Shisui had set up an obstacle course.
"Alright," Shisui began, clapping his hands together, "the goal is simple: make it through the course as quickly as possible. I'll go first to set the pace."
With that, Shisui dashed through the course, leaping over logs, dodging swinging targets, and landing gracefully at the finish line in under a minute.
"Your turn, Itachi!" Shisui called.
Itachi stepped up, his expression focused. He moved through the course with precision, finishing just a few seconds slower than Shisui.
"Impressive!" Shisui said, ruffling Itachi's hair. "Alright, Shina-nii, you're up!"
Shina stood at the starting line, stretching dramatically. "Alright, let's do this."
---
What followed could only be described as chaos.
Shina tripped over the first log, dodged the swinging targets only to get smacked in the face by a branch, and somehow managed to knock over the entire final section of the course. By the time he crossed the finish line, covered in dirt and leaves, Shisui and Itachi were on the ground laughing.
"That… was… amazing," Shisui wheezed. "You turned the course into a battlefield!"
Itachi's usually stoic face was lit up with a rare smile. "Shina-nii, are you sure you're part of the Uchiha clan?"
Shina dusted himself off, looking entirely unbothered. "See? I meant to do that. It's called distraction tactics. In a real fight, the enemy would be too busy laughing to defend themselves."
Shisui wiped a tear from his eye. "You're unbelievable, Shina-nii."
Shina grinned. "I aim to entertain."
---
Despite the disastrous training session, Itachi and Shisui couldn't help but admire Shina's ability to find humor in every situation. He might not have been the most disciplined ninja, but his presence always made things more fun—and, in a strange way, more memorable.
