big brother shina: reborn in the Uchiha clan

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Lazy Genius Emerges

Years passed, and Shina adjusted to his new life in the Uchiha clan. Though he was officially the eldest son of Fugaku and Mikoto, he couldn't shake his modern mindset—or his love for taking things easy.

While other Uchiha children trained diligently, Shina was often found lounging under a tree, arms tucked behind his head, staring at the clouds.

"Shina, you're slacking again," Fugaku barked one afternoon, standing over him with crossed arms.

Shina yawned. "Father, it's called strategic rest. A true ninja conserves energy until it's absolutely necessary."

Fugaku's eye twitched. "You are the eldest son! You should be setting an example for Itachi!"

Shina peeked over his shoulder to see his younger brother diligently practicing shuriken throwing nearby. At only six years old, Itachi's precision was near perfect, each kunai landing squarely in the target.

"Look at him," Fugaku continued. "He's half your age and already twice as disciplined!"

Shina sat up, brushing dirt off his clothes. "That's because he's a genius. He doesn't need me to set an example. Besides, I'm more of a moral support kind of guy."

"Moral support doesn't win battles," Fugaku snapped.

Shina grinned. "You'd be surprised."

Later that evening, Shina found Itachi sitting by a stream, skipping stones. The boy's expression was calm but serious, as if the weight of the world already rested on his small shoulders.

"You okay, kid?" Shina asked, plopping down beside him.

Itachi glanced up. "Father says I should always strive to be stronger."

Shina scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, that sounds like him. But let me tell you something—it's not just about being strong. It's about knowing when to fight and when to relax."

Itachi tilted his head. "Relaxing is important?"

"Absolutely," Shina said, nodding sagely. "A ninja who doesn't know how to chill is just a weapon. You don't want to be a weapon, do you?"

Itachi frowned, considering this. "No... I don't think so."

"Good. Then let's make a deal," Shina said, holding out his pinky. "I'll teach you how to relax if you promise to teach me how to throw kunai like that."

Itachi hesitated, then smiled faintly and linked his pinky with Shina's.

---

From that day on, Shina became a unique kind of teacher for Itachi. While the rest of the clan focused on combat and discipline, Shina taught his little brother the importance of balance—and how to find joy in the small things.

But, of course, Shina's laid-back attitude didn't mean he lacked skill. Beneath his carefree exterior, he harbored abilities that would leave even the most seasoned Uchiha in awe... if he ever bothered to show them.
