When they were done with the family moment Carl stood, then looked round to Aegis who was waiting patiently.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting, did you still want to show?"
"I insist on it Master and I offer you my congratulations Young Ladies Kitsunoko and Raziel and you Young Master Tiamutael. I pray mine do not disappoint you, but ask for a sincere assessment."
"Aegis, we give you our word we will never lie to you, unless it is a matter of life and death." Carl said, receiving a bow in response as Aegis made their way to the stage.

"Aegis, you don't need to apologise. Your childminding skill alone is invaluable, I have a feeling there will always be children needing a guardian and who better to teach them about their siblings and parents than the immortal that has been at their side since practically the beginning."
"I appreciate the consolation, Master. On the subject of childminding, might I suggest that I ask Miss. Nisse to make that game you spoke of when I take the vampires to her this evening?"
"I'd appreciate that..." Carl then asked telepathically if their other children could come to the training hall.
When they all agreed Carl asked Tiamutael to bring them and then asked if they would like to show the siblings that weren't there, which they were all happy to do. Their big siblings cooed over them.
"You guys are really strong, I wish I was as good as you from the start, I could have made Dad safer at SATS." Squidge said as he grew slightly and split so he could nuzzle them all at the same time.
"Yeah, you guys are so cool, well done." Levi said as she swam through the air between them.
"I knew Tiamutael was really strong, but you two are amazing as well."
Carl, Kyubi and Klaire watched proudly at how supportive their children were, but they realised that Levi, Squidge and Omedra seemed to maintain a fair amount of distance, which made them a little sad.
"Thanks for coming guys, I want to ask you something. I know you're all older and have lives of your own, but can you three please help Aegis train them?" Carl started.
"Yeah, we'll worry about hurting them, but they need to learn how to use their skills and make sure they're getting enough excercise." Kyubi continued.
"Also, we appreciate you trying to give us some space, but we aren't very happy our children are acting like acquaintances and not family." Klaire finished.
The older children squirmed slightly.
"We're sorry." They said together.
"We just wanted you to feel like parents to a normal family..." Levi admitted shyly, making Klaire storm over.
"Stop it. You're as much my daughter as any of the others, same goes for you Omedra. Squidge, you should know better, you've been my baby for almost nine years and when have we ever been a normal family?"
"Yeah, that ship sailed when I made you in front of everyone."
"I know I'm still new to the family as one of the parents to all of you, but honestly, I'm a little upset you've been keeping your distance. I want to get to know you three and earn the right to be your mum like Klaire did."
The older three looked at each other, realising they messed up a little.
"Sorry Mum, we'll spend more time at home..."
"You don't need to be around all the time, you don't need to change your schedules, but from now on we're going to be making sure you spend at least weekends together. That includes Sis, can you make sure she joins us sometimes, I'm a bit worried she's going to overwork herself as much as Alysse."
"Will do Dad, but can I move in with her? Honestly I'm a little worried too, she wants to get used to be herself and not just your system, but she is a bit naive to be honest."
"Just make sure I don't need to start getting Tiamutael to kidnap both of you for family time."
Omedra nodded and came over and hugged Carl and Kyubi and started yet another family hug.
"Now, can we ask you two to take Raziel and Tiamutael flying? Their wings are getting stiff because they either didn't want to be a nuisance or didn't want to stop watching kid-vids. Squidge and Aegis, would you please give Ki-ko a training session, I want to make sure she can flee if Tia doesn't appreciate her prank."
"Sure Dad... Guys, I don't want Dad and Mums looking at my stats, but what do you think about showing them ours?" Squidge said as he grew and reabsorbed his doubles.
"Same, but I don't mind showing our little sisters and brother." Levi answered.
"I don't mind Mums and Dad seeing mine either, so why don't I go first?" She asked before making her way over to the stage.

"Why do you always tell me how strong I am, if you're that strong!?" Tiamutael yelled as a rare crack in his unshakable face showed itself.
"Because, little brother, I'm older. Not just in terms of Dad making me first, but he made me more mature. Tiamutael, listen. When you age to the young stage and leave the hatchling stage, your stats will double. You have so much potential, that wanting to be a big sister to you all, is what pushed me to keep challenging Tia."
Tiamutael grumbled a bit about being level one still, then she jumped over to him and gave him a cuddle. "Don't forget that Dad was level one just half a year ago. Enjoy it while you can please, let us be your big siblings a while before you take your place as god of dragon-kin."
"Don't forget that god or not, you'll always be our little boy, so don't get too big for your boots young man." Klaire said as knelt down and scooped him up.
When he had had enough of being babied, the flyers flew off and Kitsunoko shooed her parents out and started cracking her knuckles as she turned to face her big brother and Aegis, causing Kyubi to go back and pinch her ear.
"That is very unlady-like, now you apologise for being such a menace and acting impolitely."
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. Mum, that hurts, ow. I'm sorry Squidge, I'm sorry Aegis."
"Now don't let me catch you cracking your knuckles like some brute again... Aegis if she does, ground her."
"Of course, Mistress Kyubi." Aegis said with a polite bow.
As the three parents looked around, not entirely sure what they should do with themselves for the day. Klaire asked if Kyubi would mind showing her that trick, then borrowed Carl for a while, making her giggle.
"Of course, I might go check on Majesty after. I was bested so quickly that I want to stretch my own legs for a bit."
After that, it wasn't long before she found herself on Lunelia, but rather than wade through the tunnels right away she spent some time chatting to Majesty.
Majesty liked talking, but Kyubi soon realised that she only cared about keeping The Carrion contained and only wanted to talk about their movements. As Kyubi was getting ready to start her exercise, she asked if she could send scouts to other worlds to search for signs of infestation.
"I think that would be a good idea, I'll mention it to Carl when he and Klaire are done."
'Thank you Mistress Kyubi... May I ask how it works with two queens?'
"I'm not really a queen, Majesty. I'm more like a consort I guess."
'A consort? Sorry for asking, I was curious, but the structure beyond me and my children eludes me.'
"It eludes me too a lot of the time." Kyubi laughed. "I love my family though, I look forward to a time when I can welcome a true child into the world and the idea of raising them alongside one Klaire brings into the world... It feels me with a joy I never thought I'd know."
'Joy?'
Kyubi tilted her head. "Majesty, please never say that to Carl, it would wound him deeply to know you don't understand the concept of joy."
