---

Sakura sat alone in her apartment, the dim light of the evening casting long shadows across the room. The events of the past few days played over in her mind like a reel of memories she couldn't escape. Her conversation with Naruto, the brief but intense moment with Sasuke—it was all too much, too overwhelming. She had always prided herself on being in control, on knowing what she wanted, but now, everything seemed uncertain, tangled.

She leaned back against the wall, her knees drawn up to her chest, as she stared out the window at the village below. The quiet hum of life outside did nothing to soothe the chaos inside her. Her heart was torn in two, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't choose between them.

Naruto's words echoed in her mind, his promise to wait for her, to be patient. He had always been so selfless, so determined to make her happy. She could feel his love, pure and unyielding, but was that enough for her? Was it enough to fill the void she felt inside, the longing for something more?

And then there was Sasuke. His presence was a constant weight on her mind. The way he looked at her, the way he seemed to understand her in ways no one else did—it was impossible to ignore. He was like a fire, unpredictable and dangerous, but also intoxicating. Every time he was near her, the air seemed to crackle with energy, and she couldn't help but be drawn to him.

Sakura sighed, running a hand through her hair in frustration. She had spent years denying her feelings for Sasuke, convincing herself that Naruto was the one she should be with. But now, with everything so uncertain, she wasn't sure what to believe anymore.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock at the door. She stood up, wiping her face quickly, as if trying to erase the emotions that had been weighing on her. When she opened the door, she was met with Naruto's familiar face, his bright blue eyes filled with concern.

"Sakura," he said gently, his voice laced with worry. "I wanted to check on you. You've been quiet lately."

Sakura hesitated, unsure of how to respond. She didn't want to lie to him, but she also didn't want to burden him with the confusion swirling in her mind. Instead, she stepped aside, allowing him to enter. As he walked in, she couldn't help but notice how easily he filled the space with his presence, his energy comforting in a way she couldn't quite explain.

"I've been thinking a lot," she admitted, her voice quiet. "About everything."

Naruto nodded, taking a seat across from her. "I know. You've been distant. I don't want to push you, Sakura, but I need you to know that I'm here for you. Whatever you're going through, we can figure it out together."

Sakura looked at him, her heart aching. She could feel the sincerity in his words, the depth of his feelings. He was always there for her, always willing to put her first. And yet, the more she tried to convince herself that he was the one she should be with, the more her heart pulled her in another direction.

"I don't know if I can do this," she said softly, her voice trembling slightly. "I don't know if I can choose between you and Sasuke."

Naruto's expression faltered for a moment, but he quickly masked it with a gentle smile. "Sakura, you don't have to choose right now. I know you're confused. I just want you to be happy. If you need time, I'll give it to you. I'll always be here."

The sincerity in his voice was enough to make Sakura's chest tighten. She wanted to believe him, wanted to trust that he would always be there, no matter what. But there was still something in her heart that couldn't shake the pull she felt toward Sasuke.

Before she could respond, there was another knock at the door. This time, Sakura didn't have to open it to know who it was. The familiar presence outside the door sent a wave of tension through her body, and she knew, deep down, that Sasuke was there.

Naruto stood up, his eyes narrowing slightly. He could sense the change in the atmosphere, the tension that hung between them. "I'll go," he said quietly, his voice laced with understanding. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

Sakura stood as well, her heart heavy. "Naruto, wait," she said, her voice stopping him before he could leave. "I don't want to push you away. I just... I need to figure things out."

He smiled softly, his eyes filled with warmth. "I know. Take your time, Sakura. I'll be here when you're ready."

As Naruto left, Sasuke stepped forward, his eyes meeting hers with an intensity that sent a shiver down her spine. He didn't say anything at first, just stood there, watching her, as if waiting for her to speak.

Sakura's heart raced, her thoughts jumbled. She had just sent Naruto away, and now, Sasuke was here, standing in front of her. The weight of the moment was almost too much to bear. She wanted to reach out to him, to give in to the temptation that had been building between them, but she couldn't. Not yet.

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean for things to get so complicated."

Sasuke's gaze softened, but only slightly. "It's not your fault, Sakura. This has always been complicated."

Sakura nodded, her hands trembling as she tried to steady herself. "I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know how to choose between you and Naruto."

Sasuke took a step closer, his presence overwhelming. "You don't have to choose right now. But you need to decide soon. Because neither of us can keep waiting forever."

Sakura looked up at him, her breath catching in her throat. She could feel the tension building between them, the desire simmering just beneath the surface. It was like a magnet pulling her toward him, and despite everything, despite the chaos in her heart, she couldn't deny the pull.

"I don't want to hurt you," she whispered, her voice shaky.

"You're not hurting me," Sasuke replied softly. "But you can't keep pretending this doesn't matter. You can't keep pretending you don't feel it."

Sakura closed her eyes, feeling the weight of his words sink in. She didn't have the answers. She didn't know what to do. But one thing was clear—whatever path she chose, it wouldn't be easy.
