Chapter 73 Romance in the Pool_2
"Really?" Sun Dasheng wondered. "Has the system upgrade been enhancing my body this whole time?"
That had to be it. Otherwise, there was no way to explain his increasingly outrageous physical prowess, especially when it came to women. He felt like he had endless energy.
Before long, the doorbell rang. It was Xiao Mei, delivering their takeout with a beaming smile. "Director Sun, Manager Xiang, your food is here."
"Great, just put it on the table," Sun Dasheng said.
The two lazybones were still lying on the couch, unwilling to move.
"Should I set the food out for you?" Xiao Mei asked.
"No need. Just leave it there and go," Xiang Yiren replied dismissively.
"Oh, okay." Xiao Mei's face fell as she walked out.
"What are you laughing at?" Xiang Yiren swatted the man beside her, slightly annoyed.
He pulled her into his arms and laughed. "Getting jealous of a little receptionist now, are we?"
"As if!" Xiang Yiren retorted, though it was true.
The complete one-eighty in her attitude was because the situation had changed. In the past, she had wanted to find allies—good sisters—to help her secure this man's heart. Now, she had discovered that even with the three of them, it was still difficult to stop this man from going out to hunt for more prey. Naturally, that old idea had faded. Now, she couldn't stand seeing other women have designs on her man. Of course, she still had no control over who he found on his own.
"Come on, I'm not some desperate beast that will devour anything in sight. That kid, Xiao Mei, isn't my type," Sun Dasheng clarified, wanting to stop her from letting her imagination run wild.
Xiang Yiren was inwardly pleased but said aloud, "Of course, I know that. I just didn't want her staying too long and discovering our little secret."
Sun Dasheng glanced at her. Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. Secret, my ass. As if there's anyone in this place who doesn't know about us. But he didn't say it out loud. A man had to pamper his woman, after all.
"Alright, the food's here and I'm starving. Go get it for me," Sun Dasheng said, patting her on the butt.
"You're just a lazy lord who only knows how to enjoy life, and I'm the poor concubine who has to work herself to death serving you."
Although she complained, Xiang Yiren still went to get the food and began to feed him.
Eating Peking duck is a bit of a hassle, since you have to wrap everything together before you can stuff it in your mouth. Having someone serve you naturally made it much more enjoyable. After they finished eating, the two were affectionate with each other for quite a while.
Just then, an employee came to report. "Manager, it's closing time. What are your orders...?"
"Oh? Is it that late already?" Xiang Yiren checked her watch, then said to the assistant manager, "You can tell everyone to clock out. You should head home too. Don't worry about anything else here."
Although the assistant manager found it a bit strange, he dutifully followed the order and left.
"What's wrong? It's past closing time. Still being so dedicated?" Sun Dasheng asked as he walked over.
Xiang Yiren promptly pushed him back onto the sofa. "Just sit tight for a little longer. A few of our sisters are coming over."
What the hell is going on? Sun Dasheng was completely baffled, but he patiently played on his phone for a bit.
Before long, the other women arrived, filling the fitness center with their chattering. Sun Dasheng looked up. "What are you all doing here?"
It was Jiang Ziyan and Lu Qingyun.
"What brings you all here so late?" he asked, standing up.
Jiang Ziyan and Lu Qingyun immediately rushed to his sides, eagerly hugging his arms. "We missed you, Brother Sun! Sister Yiren told us you were back, and our hearts flew right over. If the beauty salon hadn't been so busy, we would've been here ages ago."
Sun Dasheng glanced at Xiang Yiren. So you're the one who tipped them off.
Xiang Yiren simply returned his gaze with a smile. "Don't blame me," she said. "I can't hog you all to myself, can I?"
"Couldn't you have all just waited for me at home? Why come all the way here?"
Xiang Yiren covered her mouth and chuckled. "I heard you were at the beach for a few days. They wanted to come swim with you, too."
"Heh... Alright then, let's go." With a woman on each arm, Sun Dasheng led them down to the swimming pool on the first floor.
After changing into their swimsuits, Xiang Yiren was the first to enter the water. As the manager of the facility, she was naturally an excellent swimmer. Jiang Ziyan and Lu Qingyun, however, were like a couple of land-dwellers, hesitating at the pool steps and afraid to go in. Sun Dasheng laughed when he saw them. "So you're a couple of landlubbers. If you can't swim, why did you come along to join the fun?"
"Since we can't swim, you have to teach us," the two women wheedled, grabbing hold of him and pulling him into the water with them.
Teaching someone to swim is best done one-on-one. He called Xiang Yiren over and entrusted Lu Qingyun to her, then began his private lesson with Jiang Ziyan.
Among the three women, she had the best figure. Her swimsuit, clearly made by some profiteer who had skimped on the fabric, did little to conceal her magnificent assets.
At first, Sun Dasheng was a very dedicated teacher. He held her waist with one hand and had her try the doggy paddle. Unfortunately, her talent was limited. After flailing for a long time and kicking up a storm of water, she still hadn't made any progress.
Seeing this, Sun Dasheng had no choice but to resort to extreme measures. While she wasn't paying attention, he stealthily let go of her. Jiang Ziyan was still paddling when she realized something was wrong. Where was the hand on her waist? A wave of panic hit her, and she immediately choked on several mouthfuls of water, flailing helplessly.
Then, a hand wrapped around her waist once more. "Don't panic, I'm right here."
"You meanie!~" Jiang Ziyan cried, pounding on his chest. Tears of fright welled in her eyes. In that moment she was drowning, she thought she was going to die.
"Everyone who learns to swim has to go through this. I didn't do it on purpose, you know," Sun Dasheng said playfully.
