Chapter 92: Chapter : 92 : Zera Erako
The group blinked up at her.
"The driver is a girl?" Luna asked, surprised.
"Hmm..." She hummed, smirking in delight, still in her bended posture.
"Not another one..." Lysandra sighed, rubbing her forehead.
*Is that a new mummy?" Leona spoke internally, trying not to give her mummy more emotional damage.
"Huh? What do you mean by 'another one'?" Zera asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"Ohh... It's nothing. Don't worry about it." Aiden said, laughing nervously, waving his hand toward her.
"Well... She doesn't look bad," Thristle teased, saying it right beside Lysandra and Aiden.
Lysandra growled toward her.
Thristle just giggled in delight.
"Thristle, you just get inside the carriage. Then I am showing you who doesn't look bad." Aiden said, warning her.
"Ohh... I'll be waiting, My King." She purred, voice mixed with amusement.
"A princess like you shouldn't speak so vulgarly," Vegia said, scolding her.
"You're no fun, Vegi-Chan. I am just playing with my husband. What's so vulgar in that?" Thristle asked, clearly trying to annoy her.
Vegia growled, "Do that in private."
"Yeah... Yeah... Now calm down."
"Are we the only sane ones here?" Nyxion asked Arisha.
Arisha sighed, "Seems like it."
"I heard that," Aiden warned.
Both flinched, smiling nervously toward him.
"Ladies and Gentleman. If you're done with your bickering, can I have this journey with you?" The driver asked,
"Insolent girl. Speak properly to the heroes and our princess." The soldiers pointed their weapons toward her.
"Eh... Calm down." She asked, trying to calm them down.
"That's enough!" Lysandra shouted. The soldiers reluctantly withdraw their weapons.
"Thank you! Thank You!" She said, bowing rapidly toward her.
Lysandra sighed.
Leona started laughing in Aiden's arms.
They turned their heads toward her.
"Anh... So cute." Zera sang, walking toward her.
Reaching her, she started ruffling her hair, "Is she your daughter? She is the cutest little thing I have ever seen."
Leona giggled, "Daddy, I like the new mummy."
Silence!
Everyone blinked toward her.
Zera beamed in delight, "Did you just call me mummy?" She said, pointing toward her.
"Mmm..." Leona nodded.
"She just said another mummy... She just said another mummy... She just said another mummy..." Lysandra repeated, looking comically devastated.
"Did I say that out loud?" Leona muttered to herself.
Aiden sighed, "Leona, does every girl you meet have to be your mummy? Look, how sad your mummy is." Pointing toward Lysandra.
Leona looked toward her mummy, who was still muttering the same line, looking comically devastated.
"Don't scold such a sweet girl," Zera said, leaning toward her.
"This is getting out of hand," Vegia said, rubbing her forehead.
"Hey! I never said I am making her Leona's new mummy." Aiden said in his defence.
"I don't mind being her new mummy," Zera said playfully, poking her cheek, earning a giggle from her, clearly not understanding what it means.
"Do you even hear yourself?" Luna cried, pointing toward her.
Zera's smile faltered for a moment. Standing tall again, then she smiled again, "What? I just said, I don't mind being her mummy."
"She is clearly not understanding," Arisha muttered.
Nyxion tapped her shoulder, "Leave it to me." She said with a sultry smile.
She reached Zera and whispered in her ear.
Instantly, her face burned, then she said casually, "Maybe it's a bad idea." Then she added, "Sorry!" and bowed toward Aiden, her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Sir... Are you ready?" The soldier-in-charge interrupted.
"Uhh... yeah," Aiden replied.
---
They have all got inside the carriage, making themselves comfortable.
This luxurious carriage had upholstered seating, made up of velvet, dyed in vibrant colors. Cushions provided for comfort. The interior walls of the carriage were lined with fabric, offering insulation against the elements and a more refined aesthetic. It also had glass windows. Curtains provided for privacy. Small compartments were integrated for storage. This carriage was specially made for Aiden and his group.
All in all... It radiated luxury.
The carriage will be pulled by two Eagleon. This Eaglion looked like a mixture of ostrich and Giganotosaurus, but not as huge as a Gigantosaurus, but slightly bigger than a normal ostrich.
Its body was a dense mass of mottled feathers that seemed to ripple with every movement. The plumes, a mix of earthy browns and grays, were surprisingly coarse, a stark contrast to the soft down of its flightless avian kin. They covered its back, neck, and the upper half of its powerful legs, giving it a shaggy, almost prehistoric appearance.
Its most striking feature, however, was its head. A long, serpentine neck, reminiscent of an ostrich, led up to a skull that was unmistakably reptilian. The bone structure was a dead ringer for a Giganotosaurus, with a long, narrow snout and a slight ridge above its eye sockets. But where the great dinosaur's jaws would have held formidable, serrated teeth, the Eaglion's were a more refined, conical array, designed more for a quick snap and tear than a bone-crushing chomp. Its eyes, set deep within the reptilian skull, gleamed with a predatory intelligence, a far cry from the placid gaze of an ostrich.
Below its feathered torso, the Eaglion's legs were a marvel of evolutionary compromise. They were thick and muscular, capable of immense speed and power, but ended in a three-toed foot with sharp, curved talons. It was a fusion of the bird's sprinting prowess and the dinosaur's deadly grip, a tool for both rapid pursuit and lethal finality. It was a creature of contradictions, a living bridge between the swift grace of a bird and the raw power of a predator from a bygone era.
Zera petted the two Eagleon, and they nudged into her palm, "Sirko, Sera. We are going to have the greatest adventure of our lives.
Both roared; the sound was clearly of a big bird, high-pitched and all.
"Buckle up your seat belts. Here we go!" Zera cried in excitement.
She shook the reins, and the Eagleon jumped, giving out a roar before pulling the carriage at high speed.
The people inside the carriage screamed as it started shaking furiously.
"We have all the time in the world. Drive slowly!" Aiden shouted toward her from inside the carriage.
"Where's the fun in that?" Zera frowned, signalling the two Eagleon to pull slowly.
Everyone took a sigh of relief, "Safe!"
Luna started bouncing in her seat, excitedly, "It's so soft!"
"You bet." Thristle beamed, joining in herself.
"Princess, please act like a princess," Vegia said calmly.
Thristle pouted toward her.
"So... Is this your carriage?" Aiden asked Zera.
Zera gave a nervous laugh, "Obviously not. The king prepared it specially just for you all."
"Ohh... And those two?"
"No. They are mine. They are called Eagleon. These two, boy and girl, are really first and have never disappointed me. I raised them since they were little." Zera explained.
Lysandra then asked, "How did father make you our lifetime driver?"
Everyone leaned in.
"Ahh... Yeah... The king offered my family a lifetime supply of expenses. I just couldn't let the opportunity go to waste." She said, stopping for a heartbeat before continuing, "I live with my mother and younger sister. And we are very poor. And naturally, I took the job."
She got silent.
"That old man of mine," Lysandra said, rubbing her forehead.
"Don't worry about it. It was my choice anyway. And besides, this is what I always wanted. I always wanted to go on an adventure. To explore the world in my carriage with my two local partners." She said, laughing, hiding her sadness of leaving her family behind.
"Don't worry!" Suddenly, Loena shouted.
"Daddy will take care of you! Won't you, Daddy?" She looked toward Aiden, eyes sparking, waiting for his answer.
Aiden replied nervously, lips twitching. "Of course... That's why Daddy is here. To protect everyone."
"Ohh... Loena, You're so sweet." Zera purred.
Leona giggled.
"Seriously..." Lysandra muttered, though a small smile played on her lips.
All of them smiled.
---
They had been going for hours, though the forest didn't seem to end. The light in the forest was fading, getting replaced by a suffocating darkness.
Leona had fallen asleep; her small body couldn't keep up with all the stress. She was sleeping soundly on the cushion.
Ivy had also fallen asleep.
"She was finally asleep. I guess it was too much for her." Lysandra said, slowly pushing away the strand of hair that fell on her cheeks.
Then she turned toward Aiden.
"Now that she is finally sleeping, why don't we all have some fun?" Aiden smirked.
"Hu-"
Before she could ask, Aiden captured her lips, kissing her fiercely. She melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Master..." Luna called, "I want to kiss too."
"Me too," Thristle said instantly.
"Don't forget me," Nyxion said, her voice sultry.
"Umm..." Arisha said shyly, then, looking away, she said softly, "I want to kiss too."
Aiden turned toward Luna next, kissing her without waiting.
Luna wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer.
Breaking the kiss, Aiden pulled Thristle, taking her lips in a fierce kiss, his hand moving up to grope her, squeezing her boobs, while his other hand explored her plump hips.
"Mnghh..." Thristle moaned into the kiss.
Then he pulled Nyxion and Arisha at the same time, both resting on his lap, facing him, hands resting on his chest for support.
