Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 615: Deplorable Situation

The hellish wind twisted across the plain, and the moment Wargon ordered the circle to close, a thousand demon soldiers raised their spears, blades, and bloodstained claws.

Daniel slowly turned and scanned his surroundings. A perfect circle. Completely sealed. From a general standpoint, escape was impossible, and even if it were possible, running would cost more than it was worth.

A clash with all these demons was unavoidable, and he also doubted he could deal with all of them using this body. If he were in his real body, he could easily summon the Fallen and have them tear all these demons apart.

"I need to separate Wargon from them and find a chance to take what I want," he muttered while observing the battlefield.

Escape? Yes. He had to pretend to try to escape. He didn't want to get caught in the middle of an assault by a thousand demons, and he needed to isolate Wargon… or at least, that was the only and best option he had for now.

He glanced around. Unfortunately, there was no obvious gap he could use to convincingly play the role of someone trying to flee.

"Don't give him a chance! Open a breach and crush him!" Wargon suddenly shouted.

The ground trembled as a thousand demonic forces were released at once. Daniel didn't even have time to properly act out his plan.

"Damn it…" he frowned.

Hellish power erupted from between his fingers and propelled him into the air. The only chance he had was to tear open the demon circle before it fully closed.

He leaped forward at a mad speed, shooting into the sky like a missile, aiming to break through the western formation, where the number of soldiers was the lowest.

But Wargon, as if he had already seen the move coming, roared.

"Form a barrier! Dark Pillar!"

The ground split apart, and a column of shadow blocked Daniel's escape route. In a fraction of a second, a rain of a thousand demonic spears fell toward him from above.

Daniel raised his hands. Two black rings lit up around his arms.

Another problem was that in this body, he couldn't use his own skills. He was forced to rely on Orsius's abilities, which created even more issues.

[ Rift Rend ]

A wave of dark energy exploded outward like a massive blade. Dozens of soldiers were torn apart instantly. But instead of opening a path, a second wave of attacks arrived immediately.

Shadow spears burst from the ground, moving faster than Orsius's body could react. Three spears pierced his side and abdomen. Demonic energy twisted inside his body, and pain smashed into his head like an iron fist.

"Trying to run? In the middle of a thousand soldiers? That's a nice dream!" Wargon laughed from behind.

Daniel clenched his jaw but didn't retreat. His body regenerated rapidly. At least this body, useless as it was in many ways, had extremely powerful healing and regeneration. He opened his hand and slammed a wave of darkness outward.

[ Abyss Grasp ]

Dozens of shadowy hands burst from the ground, grabbing the surrounding soldiers and dragging them straight into the earth. The sound of their bones being crushed echoed beneath the soil.

But the gap between the first and second waves of attacks was zero.

High-ranking soldiers dove down from the air, three demon knights with wings wrapped in red flames, their swords shining with pure hellish energy.

There was no time to defend. Daniel was forced into a direct collision.

They almost crushed him. The first strike landed on his forearm, sending him flying like a stone. His body was thrown back ten meters and slammed into the dirt with a dull sound.

Before he could stand up, a flood of soldiers poured over him.

Spears.

Claws.

Thunderous hellish blows.

All of them came crashing down on him.

"Those damn arrays are suppressing my power," Daniel ignored the pain and glared at the various arrays mounted on the chariots around the battlefield.

Now he understood what those arrays were. They were completely suppressing him.

His vision was blurred with blood, but his hands still moved.

He growled.

[ Hellburst Pulse ]

A spherical wave of black energy exploded from his body. The soldiers were scattered like dry leaves, more than fifty bodies pulverized on the spot.

At the same time, an immense force surged out of him and instantly turned the chariots to ash.

Feeling the pressure and suppression lessen, Daniel let out a breath of relief.

"Good, good… this is getting fun! Keep going, let's see how long you can last!" Wargon laughed from atop a hill.

He was clearly not worried at all about the destruction of most of the arrays.

Daniel finally stood up, covered in blood from head to toe, his eyes shining with dark light.

The next assault came without pause, but this time, he attacked first.

[ Void Slash ]

A blade of shadow tore through the air, cutting dozens of soldiers in half. Right after that, he leapt into the air and slammed the ground with a burst of dark energy.

A massive crater formed, and nearly a hundred soldiers fell into it.

But the pressure was still crushing. Attacks came from every direction, continuous impacts, a hell with no escape route.

Daniel was injured again and dropped to one knee, but with a loud roar, he forced himself back up.

"This is getting harder to endure. I have to go straight for him." There was no choice but a direct attack on Wargon.

Even though he knew this move was probably within Wargon's expectations and that he was prepared for it, he had no other choice. At this point, all he could do was take the risk.

Daniel carved a path forward, a river of torn-apart soldiers left behind him, and at a speed beyond vision, he reached the commander.

But Wargon was already prepared.

The blade of his massive mace swung in from the side. Their clash split the ground apart. The shockwave blindly killed several dozen more soldiers.

"Do you want to die that badly?" Wargon laughed mockingly.
