chapter 73: new world part 4
Seal snorted at the compliment, dismissing it as merely Master’s imagination. Regardless, they seemed excited about exploring Tempest, particularly the capital city of Rimuru. They were eager to start with the capital. Seal had already analyzed their abilities and provided a rundown.
The evo's unique skill, "Rainbow Flame Transformation," was especially dangerous—it transformed the user's body into solidified rainbow fire, encompassing all elements and allowing them to conjure and control flames capable of burning anything, even souls. Rimuru was shocked by how powerful this skill was. Naturally, they asked if Seal could replicate it, but unfortunately, Seal was unable to duplicate the unique skill's ability.
I also received a breakdown of their second unique skill, "Perseverance." Although Seal could replicate this skill, they pointed out that Master already had better versions. I was curious about the subskills included in "Perseverance," particularly the subskill "Sixth Sense," which incorporated universal sense, thought communication, thought acceleration, danger sense, Chant Annulment, Soul Brain and parallel processing. Seal explained that this skill likely stemmed from the individual's desire to consolidate multiple abilities into one, integrating them into a single subskill.
Their unique skills were quite overpowered, like "Realm Lord," which included the subskill "Realm." This skill was reminiscent of Ramiris labyrinth but also featured the had the sub skill "Flash," which allowed her to teleport instantly anywhere within her perception without needing to perform the usual calculations for teleportation. The "Gate" skill was truly frightening—it enabled her to create portals and bypass all teleportation countermeasures, and the only way to stop it was by destroying the gate before it could fully form.
Her unique skill, "Shadowy Darkness," with the subskill "Shadow Construct," was also incredibly powerful. It allowed her to create weapons, armor, shields—essentially anything she could imagine—out of solidified shadow and darkness. The terrifying aspect was that if you were hit by these objects, you'd receive a nasty debuff that reduced all your stats by 50%, like in a video game, and the effect stacked. Due to the influence of the Evo, all three of them possessed the sub skill of "Sixth Sense."
The greater wind spirit's unique skill, "Wind Lord," included the subskill "Master of Wind," enabling her to use any and all wind magic. However, the subskills "Cherry Blossom and Wind Dance" was truly terrifying. The skills of these three were unlike anything Seal had seen. Seal mentioned that these unique skills were most likely the abilities of these Otherworlders, converted into unique skills upon their arrival in this world. What was surprising was that Seal could only copy the unique skill "Perseverance."
Switching back to the normal POV, the atmosphere shifted. How rude of me, I realized—I hadn’t introduced myself yet. "I'm Crystal, and the hot demon beside me is Sophie. And then we have Alex." Rimuru gave me a look. "Don't look at me like that. I didn’t name her. Besides, spirits don’t really have a gender."
I wasn’t surprised that not much time had passed. Although it may have seemed like a long conversation from my perspective, we were both using thought acceleration. I wanted to test if Sixth Sense would allow me to communicate with Seal without Rimuru knowing, so I spoke to Seal directly. Without realizing it, I had tried it—and it seemed to work. I smiled and asked Seal a question that had been on my mind: "Why haven’t you ever made yourself a physical body? You should be able to, and it wouldn’t affect your ability to perform your functions in any way."
After all, their multitasking abilities were exceptional. Plus, if they had their own body, they could secure their position as Rimuru’s wife.
I also suggested that if Seal didn’t want to reveal their true identity, they could be perceived as Rimuru’s alter ego, claiming to represent the female aspect of his personality, while Rimuru would represent the male aspect. I sent Seal all the Rimuru and Seal fanfiction I could remember—thanks to my photographic memory, that was every single one I’d seen. Seal seemed to blush—well, the mental equivalent at least—and Rimuru was curious about this as well. However, I could tell that Seal had blocked him from knowing what we were talking about.
Anyway, we finally arrived in the Tempest Federation, specifically the capital city of Rimuru. The country's full name was the Jura Tempest Federation, though it often got shortened to just "Tempest Federation." The capital city of Rimuru was where we landed.
Sophie took my storage ring—a golden ring with a green gemstone—and after using her unique skill, Realm Lord, on it, the gemstone transformed into a green spiral. This ring now acted as a key, allowing me to access her realm. I could use it like a storage ring, but unlike a regular storage ring, which serves as a key to a pocket dimension, this ring was a key to the realm itself. I could physically teleport objects in and out of the realm or create a portal to enter it myself. Unlike pocket dimensions, where living things die quickly after entering unless you have a storage ring specifically designed for storing living beings, this realm could safely accommodate living things.
The city was far larger than depicted in the anime. As someone who had seen the anime, I knew the city was big by the end of the series, but it was only a fraction of its true size. Using my clairvoyance magic, I could even see the skyscraper city built for airships. The skyscrapers were much more elaborate than those on Earth, adorned with marble, jade, and stained glass windows. I smiled at Rimuru and remarked that he had managed to make those ugly skyscrapers from our world look pretty awesome by adding a mystical touch. Rimuru was surprised and asked how I could see it from here. I explained that it was like a magic camera, with the feed directly connected to my mind.
