Awakened Earth!!

chapter 72: new world part 3

I looked at him and, judging by his appearance, said, "He looks like he's around 20 years old. This time period must be near the end of the series." I smiled and asked, "Oh, do you mind telling me where we are? I'm a little confused about where I ended up."

"You're in the Great Jura Forest, my domain," Rimuru said.

"Ah, I see. That makes perfect sense." Sophie smiled and added, "We have something in common; we're both from Earth. Though, I suppose the Earth we're from is very different from yours."

Rimuru looked at me, confused, so I explained, "You should be familiar with the concept of a Multiverse. It's quite impressive how Veldanava created even a small part of it. When you consider that this 'small part' contains millions, if not billions, of universes, each vast in scale, you realize what a truly impressive feat it was."

Rimuru seemed to understand quickly, likely due to Seal's work. I continued, "Sometimes people catch glimpses of the Multiverse in their dreams. They usually forget them upon waking, but these glimpses can subconsciously influence them to create various works of fiction. In other words, things like manga and anime are sometimes based on events that actually transpired in the Multiverse. Of course, we can't rule out the possibility that they are complete works of fiction, but some might be based on real events seen in dreams."

Rimuru nodded in agreement. Then he asked me if I could turn down my aura. I realized I was releasing my aura at full throttle and said, "Oops," before retracting my aura to the minimum. However, it was still quite strong.

"Can you lower it any more?" Rimuru asked.

I shook my head. "I'm pushing it down to practically zero here."

Rimuru sighed. "It's fine."

"Now," I said, "I actually get to see Tempest. I wonder if it looks better in reality than it does in the anime."

"There's an anime about me?" Rimuru asked.

"Yeah, and it's pretty good. It's one of my favorite anime too," I replied.

As for how I ended up in this world, I explained, "It turns out I triggered a safety mechanism in my universe. If you get too strong, you get kicked out of the universe."

"Of course, my universe was not really supposed to have people as strong as me. It was an Earth with magic and stuff, but you weren't supposed to get as strong as I did. To be honest, the magic levels of this world are much higher, meaning the upper limit of power here is pretty much non-existent. However, my universe had an upper limit. It didn't want people to become too strong for whatever reason. The configuration of that universe allowed individuals to have magic and a certain level of strength, which is why we got kicked out. We kind of broke the power ceiling of the universe, which disrupted its balance and went against the original configuration, so we got kicked out."

Rimuru's point of view:

I was letting Seal handle all the paperwork for the festival. The true purpose of the festival was, of course, to provide justification for being late. According to Souei's investigation, one of the Western Nations had developed airplanes specifically designed for bombing runs. The original plan was to target those responsible, as all airships and other aerial vehicles required my permission and the permission of Milim to operate. This was to prevent someone from using them for warfare.

However, Guy had been urging me for a while to do something about the overpopulation in the Western Nations. It would be disastrous if I was holding a big festival and didn't have the manpower or I guess monster power in my case, to respond if someone took advantage of the situation to perform bombing runs. This world has not seen the horrors of planes dropping bombs on cities. This would give them a chance to Witness the devastation of such actions while also addressing Guy's concerns by reducing the population.

Suddenly, three Demon Seed-level individuals appeared out of nowhere. After arriving deep within the Jura Forest, I saw three individuals. Thanks to Seal, I was able to tell that two of them were Demon Lord Seeds, and the other one was comparable to a Demon Lord Seed.

I gave my usual introduction, although it seemed they were already aware of who I was. After thinking about it, I realized that being a famous Demon Lord, it made sense. Of course, Seal informed me that the individual with blue hair and golden eyes belonged to a race called Evo. Even Seal did not recognize this race initially, but she later informed me that it seemed to be created through a blend of magic and genetic engineering. This race was entirely artificial, combining the genetic makeup of angels, humans, and various monsters. Additionally, it utilized magic and various technologies to make modifications. Seal concluded that a combination of advanced technological and magical means was used for the creation of this species, stating that this was not the work of individuals from this world but most likely from beings who had arrived here from other world.

That surprised me—considering their plan to conquer the Western Nations, it made sense that they would want to increase its combat power before launching a full-scale attack. Seal informed me both demonpeer and greater wind spirit had physical bodies. However, I realized we didn’t have much time before Diablo show up here became problematic. I was momentarily surprised when they mentioned that they were from Earth, but then I was confused when they said their Earth was different from mine. Seal gave me an explanation about the Multiverse, stating that based on Master’s memories, there was a high probability that what they were saying was true. If Seal said so, it must be true.

I was also surprised to learn that there was an anime about me, and upon getting confirmation, it seemed that the anime they made was pretty good.
