AURORA : FATE

Chapter 13: Chapter 12 : bare escape

although Alya had the conviction she didn't know what to do in her current situation, thinking about it everything began to come into a new light in a strange way, the monsters were from the game and mainly the future in the foreseeable instance , using the analysis method that Ash thought her while they played she began to see a way out .

His method of analysis was to know your every single behavior and weakness of the creatures and after looking through her memories for a little while she came up with a few things ; they were fast and agile creatures who rely on their keen sense of smell and sound to find their prey, has strong scales and sharp canines and claws.

Their weakness lies in their blindness and an area close to the neck, a blunt hit there can cause concussion and a stab there would mean death, another thing that she noticed was that this place in general feed off her fear and her memories, the moments she got scared the ferens would immediately be found around her as if the environment could produce them and they appeared just instantly.

Bringing everything into consideration she decided on a plan which was to find the core of the problem which if she wasn't mistaken was hidden somewhere deep in her mind, with this in mind she moved out quietly avoiding the creatures heading to the closest place to find a weapon : the kitchen.

She got there fine and picked everything she needed and quietly moved from the kitchen heading to each to check for any clue of an exit of any sort, each room she checked seemed to not have anything other than dead bodies or ferens she continued this for a while before she noticed the obvious and that was the fact that the room had no end , that fact made her worried and seriously speaking it was annoying to deal with.

She decided to go through the other way towards the basement as that place seemed to be the only logical place where a core could be located, she got there and noticed that it was empty and not even a single feren was present, just as she was about to leave she noticed that the basement floor wasn't solid as it used to be giving an empty feeling in it.

She inspected it continuously kicking the floor but it kept giving her an uncertain feeling, she decided to take a much more closer look bringing her face close to the floor

'Creak ' the wooden floor suddenly caved in with full force causing her to crash into what seemed to be a stone floor which was not too far from the wooden floor but still dealt some damage and annoying pain.

It took her quiet a good while to recover and get back on her feet, Alya looked around and could hear large thumping sounds like that of many feet walking and her guess was that her fall must have already alerted whatsoever was in this place, she was stuck in a one way tunnel with no place to hide so she was going to confront what do ever was going to be approaching,

She moved through the tunnel heading for the ending and wasn't surprised when she was ambushed by a large number of which looked too overwhelming for her to handle, she took in a deep breath , dashing forward slashing her blade at the neck of the first victim and it hit perfectly causing the first kill , she swerved her body perfectly plunging the blade into the next, she went on a horrible skirmish killings every single one that got in her way just as her attention slipped one of the franas leaped from behind her, it's baring canine aiming straight for her neck, just then a bright light wrapped around her followed by a powerful explosion that pushed everything away , leaving nothing behind not even Alya.

Alya opened her eyes with a start and found herself back in her room, she was sweating nasty as it was strange that her body was aching from tiredness " You are alright " Comforting voice called out to Alya drawing her attention, she was surprised that grandma was was present next to her having a worried expression 'i must still be in the dream '  Alya told herself as she pinched herself to see if it was real, as at now that could barely pass as a verification for that anymore,

"You can stop being dazed now " Grandma called out to Alya who quickly regained herself ," What happened while you were in there? " Grandma asked Alya who narrated everything emitting the fact that she knew about the place before " … it wasn't like a dream, it was very vivid and real " Alya said as she got to the end of the explanation she kept looking at grandma who's worried expression worsened " It wasn't a dream , if it occurred as you told me that means you were really there but at a later time than now " Grandma explained.

Alya was stunned when she heard this , it sounded like psychic time travel, this power never appeared in the real story, well not what she can remember and it was a very powerful variable for her and that's if she can control it, " I know what you are thinking, never try to use that power, ever again , time related ability are too powerful even for primordial dragons, even for me don't use it until I train you enough " grandma warned with a stern expression and that was enough for Alya, she knew what she had to face if she ever went against a warning like that " But I didn't do it before, what triggered it like I was just going to sleep ? " Alya asked, confused. " Oh .. It is related to your draconic awakening, you are now a full fledged member of the Royal household " grandma replied standing up to leave Alya wanted to hold her back not not knowing when what happened would repeat itself,

" It's fine , it won't happen again unless you try to go against my warning and try to touch the power within you before I even teach you how to " grandma's warning seemed comforting if it was another person she was telling it to but Alya didn't.

Alya opened her eyes to see the rays of the early morning sun and confirmed one thing and it was good sign that she was alive, she tried moving her body and then she noticed that it was painful she hard barely moved her body for a really long time, it took her quite a while to leave bed and take a really long bath that seemed to to the trick reliving her of all the pain and strains.

" Three weeks of sleep is enough to start your training if I'm not wrong? " Grandma's voice sounded in the room as Alya walked out of the bathroom , she noticed her only when she spoke and although this didn't surprise her it was quite scary.

She wanted to give a reply when her brain clicked back to the first word that grandma said " I've been asleep for three weeks?! " Alya asked completely baffled so much more than surprised the awakening must have taken away a great deal of essence for her to be that tired

" don't be that surprised considering how long you spent in that state you should be out longer

" grandma said nonchalantly " That's not comforting at all " Alya replied trying to bring herself back from the shock and grandma could see how frightening the situation had been for her, on Alya's side that was three weeks wasted not even close to what grandma was thinking.

" come here i have something to go through really quickly " Grandma said as she appeared on Alyas bed and tapping the bed for her to come over, she did so really quickly sitting next to her in a Cross-legged position, grandma handed her a purple crystal ball, Alya gave it a careful look before taking it and she was surprised her comforting it was giving off a soothing feel, it's size was a little large almost the size of the human head but was really light and strangely was really hard.

" Absorb it completely, and don't stop it till I say so or pull you out myself, don't worry I'll be here so nothing goes wrong " Grandma instructed, Alya hearing this got to work as she closed her eyes and immersed herself completely into it .

Just as Alya got immersed a shadowy being appeared in front of grandma in a kneeling position " were you able to find who put the Ash bane in her room ? " Grandma asked the figure who began regaining human like features " I'm really sorry man … , the trail we got was lost in garden and nobody in the main or subsidiary houses has agreed to it " the man replied as his voice was trembling obviously he was scared for his life and didn't want to lose it, he failed his job once trying to protect the young lady who almost got killed by the ash bane that was sneaked into her room right under his nose, and now he couldn't find the culprits those two alone can make him not to see the light of the next day.

" Don't worry about it, just go back to your duty post " Grandma said to the man who had a surprised expression, he was expecting death and it seemed that day was his lucky day " Do you want me to repeat myself? " She asked with a stern look and without wasting another second disappeared.

"An idiot dared to aim at my grandchild, I guess it's time we visit the good old days " Grandma said with a smile that looked too scary to be in her face, if not that Alya was in a vulnerable position the amount of killing intent she would have released would have been catastrophic and too well it was hidden deep inside of her.
