Ascension of the Monster Queen

Yzyn hugged Nessa in front of everyone and she glanced at him then he closed his eyes as he rested his chin on her shoulder and she smiled before he exhaled deeply with his right-hand trembling and her brows furrowed, wondering what was going on with him.

The demon approached them and Nessa looked at him as well as Yzyn and from the look that the demon was giving her at the time, she knew he wanted to talk to her and she sighed then Yzyn raised off of her, turning his attention to the demon.

His eyes narrowed as he looked at him and a piercing look appeared in his eyes then he approached him.

"Nice disguise you have there, dear dragon," He whispered as leaned in closer to him and a smirk appeared on Yzyn face.

"What are you talking about?" The dragon asked and the demon chuckled as he looked at him, while Nessa was talking to Riki and the others, not knowing what the two were discussing but was curious.

"Don't play dumb with me, it won't work, I am no ordinary demon to be fooled that easily," He responded and the dragon's brows furrowed.

"What's with you?" The dragon asked and the demon chuckled.

"You will know soon enough, ater all, the end to it all is not far away," He responded ashe glanced at Nessa and Yzyn looked at her, with a worried expression.

"Relax, she is stronger than you think, she will handle it, at least I hope she does," He said before walking away from the dragon and gong to the girl.

'Something feels different about this demon, he doesn't give the bad nor good feeling, somewhere in between, he is different from the demons that I have met in the past,' He thought before exhaling deeply.

"Lady Nessa, a minute," He said as he held onto her arm and Riki glanced at him then she sighed.

"Fine, fine, I am coming," She replied then went aside with him and he braced against the wall of a building, while she stood in front of him.

"Why are you looking at me like I am a prey?" She asked and he chuckled.

"Even if I was, it doesn't necessarily means it's a bad thing right?" He asked as he leaned in closer to her and her eyes narrowed as they met his and she scoffed.

"What do you want to talk about?" She asked.

"Cutting to the chase huh? Why? Is it a bad thing to spend time with me?" He asked and she glanced at him before moving closer and he looked at her.

"That depends on a lot of things, doesn't it?" She asked as she glanced at the hair on his face.

"What are your intentions these days, demon?" She asked as she was about to touch him and he grabbed onto her hand, tightly and she glanced at him, knowing he did that out of reflex.

"That's tight grip, are you scared of me touching you or is there another reason?" She asked as he loosen his grip on her.

"It doesn't matter anymore, what's that dragon doing here?" He asked and her eyes narrowed as she stepped away from him.

"How did you know that?" She asked.

"For someone like me, it's not hard to tell, other demons may not be able to, but I am different," He responded and she sighed.

"He is my family now, one of the first to ever accept me, one of the first I created a bond with, now that he is free and wants to live a life of happiness, one where he could be himself, I am giving it to him," She said as she lowered her gaze.

"Be careful not to regret that," He replied and her eyes widened then she turned to look at him.

"Hey, why would you say that?" She asked.

"Because of who he is, they will come for his head if they find out, he is the dragon that went rogue, he had quite the history, one that could cause problem for you, your people, your nation, despite knowing that, are you still willing to risk it?" He asked and the wind blew up her hair, while she stared at him and his eyes narrowed.

Nessa turned to look at the dragon and her brows furrowed and a gentle smile appeared on her face, when she saw how well he was getting along with the people and how happy he looked at the time. Continue your adventure at empire

"I may not know the history you are talking about, but what I do know is that he is a good person, one who had protected what he cares for, at times, even me, for the past few hundred years, he was here, in this land, he has never harm and innocent person since, I don't know if he did in the past nor do I care, that's the past and right there it will stay..." She said.

"Wait, he had never hurt an innocent, not by will at least, you are right, he is not evil, but the past he comes from can bring ruin," He replied and she scoffed.

"I know, dragons are wrathful, but I am going to risk it, I will protect him as well as my people, even if I have to kill whoever stands in my way, I am not going to let anyone snatch their happiness, not when they have a chance of living free in this world now, among humans, I am going to stand for what I believe is right, you already knew my answer, didn't you?" She asked with a piercing look in her eyes.

"I thought you might say something like that, you are going to be facing a lot, his past will come to haunt him, be careful, also you are closer than ever to finding out the truth, to finding out the real mastermind behind all of this, aren't you?" He asked and she nodded.

"Then, get stronger, if anyone can do it, make a revolution, it may be you, we will see where this goes, good luck," He added then disappeared and she exhaled deeply before looking at the others, oncluding the dragon.

"Lady Nessa, I am back," Sai said as he appeared beside her and she glanced at him with her eyes narrowed, then both of them left.
