Ascension of the Monster Queen

Nessa stepped forward as he stood before her and the light around him began fading away, as she stared at him and he opened his eyes, looking at her with a smirk on his face and she swallowed then he stepped forward and she glanced at him.

He was tall, muscular, was dressed neatly despite the fact he was in his dragon form before, he had long dark red and black hair with piercing red and purple eyes and he was fair.

He approached Nessa, placing his hand against her cheek, before pulling her into a hug and her eyes widened then he smiled.

"Thank you," He said in a soft tone and she smiled before hugging him as well.

"Welcome home," She replied and he chuckled before raising off of her and he sighed.

"Yeah, it's better than I remembered it though, it wasn't really my home, until you came along, you made it into a home, warm..." He said as the sunlight reflected on him and he closed his eyes as a gentle breeze passed by them.

Nessa smiled as she looked at how peaceful the dragon looked and she was genuinely happy for his return, after all, that was what he wanted and he was the first being she got to actually like, when she first came into the world.

"Well, I am pleased that you like it, I am not sure if anything that I have right now, would have been possible if I hadn't met you, thank you," She said as she was about to bow her head, but he leaned in closer to her.

"There is no need to thank me, you did all of this on your own, I am the one who is thankful, I now have a place, I actually feel like I belong and someone to call family," He replied and her eyes widened as she stared at him and he grinned.

"Well, it's the same here, you are my first family here, I never thought that I of all people would ever be using that word again," She said and he glanced at her.

"I am sorry for whatever losses you had before you came here, Nessa," He replied and she smiled at him.

"It's okay, I made peace with it, in a way, it was a long time ago, I can barely remember the life I used to live there, do you want to go home now? I had a home made for you or you can stay in mine," She said and he chuckled.

"You are a young lady, I think it would be best for me to stay in my ow home, I would wish to avoid certain sights later on, when you decide to have someone in your life," He replied and her cheeks flushed.

"Wh- What are you even saying? Whatever, leave it," She said and he laughed as he looked at her.

"I am really glad, I met you that day Nessa," He replied as he patted her on her head and she grinned.

"Shall we?" She asked.

"Nessa, can you not tell anyone who I am?" He asked and she looked back at him.

"Why?" She asked and he lowered his gaze as she looked at him.

"I am not the same as I was before, strong but not the same amount of strength, plus I don't want to live the same life, I evolved because of you, I want to take advantage of that," He responded and she sighed.

"Do you not want that?" He asked and she approached him.

"That's not, I accept whatever decision you make, it's your life, I will give you what you wish, in order for you to live the life you want, I will not tell them, everyone has freedom, but I will announce you as my... brother?" She asked as he stared at her, then chuckled.

"You can announce me as whatever you want, we are a family now, after all," He responded as he wrapped his arm around her neck and she chuckled.

Just as the two were heading to the city together, they bumped into the demon along the way and upon sensing his presence, the dragon glanced at him and the demon looked at them.

The demon approached them, grabbed onto the dragon's arm and moved it from around her neck and she glanced at him as his eyes narrowed.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked as he stood in between the two.

"Oh? I know you, this is the demon you have been keeping around you right?" He asked and she nodded.

"I see, nice to meet you," The dragon said.

"Who are you?" He asked and the dragon smiled as he looked at him then at Nessa, who exhaled deeply.

"Come on, you will see," She said as she grabbed onto the demon's arm and took both of them into the city and the demon's brows furrowed as he looked at the dragon.

The energy that he gives off, I have sensed it before, it is quite familiar, like someone I have met before, who is he?' The demon wondered as Nessa and the dragon were talking to each other.

"The demon... How long do you plan on keeping him around?" He asked and she looked at him.

"For as long as he wants to stay, I don't mind, to be honest it's been quite entertaining," She responded and the dragon's eyes narrowed the he smirked as she took them to the center of the city.

"Everyone, can I have your attention for a few minutes?" She asked and everyone looked at her.

"What's the matter, lady Nessa? Is everything okay?" Riki asked as he approached her and she smiled at them.

"Yeah, everything is fine, don't be alarmed, I just have an introduction to make, an announcement," She responded and Riki sighed in relief then smiled at her, as everyone gathered.

"Today, after a very long time of waiting, someone has finally returned home and this time to stay, I hereby introduce you to my big brother, Yzyn Styrmir," She said and everyone gasped as they exchanged glances.

"Lady Nessa's brother? Well, this is good news, we didn't know," Riki said and the others nodded, with smiles on their faces, before cheers began echoing throughout the city and she smiled before looking at him and he exhaled deeply, feeling a little bit at peace and she patted him on his shoulder, as the demon looked at Yzyn, with his eyes narrowed.
