Ascension of the Monster Queen

A little while after, when the girl finished getting ready for the funeral, she exited her room and was about to leave, when someone grabbed onto her arm and her eyes widened, when she turned around, she saw the demon, standing there, neatly dressed for the funeral.

She left staring at him and he released her hand then he smiled a little, before moving closer to her and his eyes narrowed as she looked at him.

"Will you take me along?" He asked and she lowered her gaze then nodded and a smirk appeared on his face as he stepped back.

"Fine, I may not be close to them like you, but the least I could do is pay respect to someone to deserved it," He said and she looked at him then smiled.

"Let's go," She replied as the magic formation, appeared beneath their feet and both of them disappeared in a flash. Enjoy new adventures at empire

Upon arriving before the castle, which was being fixed at a faster rate than before, they saw that many people were gathered there for the king's funeral, both nobles as well as normal citizens.

There were so many people that there was barely any space for big groups of people, for everyone wanted to be there for the king's departure.

Nessa as well as the demon, went to the castle's main hall, where the family was and upon seeing the girl, Mikala smiled brightly and Nessa sighed before approaching her.

"How are you holding up?" Nessa sked.

"I am doing fine and it's all thanks to you, things will not take long to come to a conclusion, it's going to be night in a little while as well," She responded and Nessa sighed.

"It's best to finish it early, I know it's hard on you guys but it's what's needed," She said and Mikala smiled then nodded.

"You are right, we will be doing the speeches soon, come on," Mikala replied.

Nessa nodded then they went and sat down, while the members of the family, began doing their speeches in order to start the final part of the ceremony, which would bring it all to a conclusion.

As Nessa listened to what they were talking about, she remembered the way, the king died and her brows furrowed as she clenched her fists tightly and the demon, who glanced at her at the same time, saw then she sighed.

'I need to hurry up and bring all of this to an end, if I am connecting the dots properly, it's all leading back to one person, I bet he may not be the mastermind to all of it, maybe just another pawn in someone else's game,' She thought.

"What are you thinking about?" The demon asked and she glanced at him.

"That doesn't matter right about no, we will talk about that later, let's just get this over with,' She responded as she remembered her parent's death as well and she lowered her gaze then gritted her teeth.

At the funeral, Nessa wanted to say something else well but decided to hold back and repay the king in another way, one which could guarantee his family peace and make sure that he didn't die in vain.

'I don't want to see anyone else dying but I also know that, it's just bloody wishful thinking, I am going to fix it all, starting with them and how I came to this world in the first place, I feel like it is all connected, it's no coincidence,' She thought.

A while after, just before night, when the ceremony had finally concluded and the king was buried in his favorite spot in the kingdom, everyone returned to the castle and most of the guests had begun leaving.

"Mikala," Nessa said as she approached the girl, who was fake a smile, while sending off the guests.

"Nessa, are you leaving now?" Mikala asked and Nessa's brows furrowed then she grabbed the girl by her arm, pulling her in for a hug.

Mikala's eyes widened as the others looked at them, then Nessa patted her on her back, knowing that the girl wanted to cry but was holding back and she hugged Nessa tightly.

"It's okay, not because you cry means you are weak, it's good to have such emotions, Mikala, don't be afraid," She said and the demon looked at her with his eyes narrowed.

'How can she be all of these things at once? How is she still like this, understanding to such emotions, despite all that's happened?' The demon wondered as he lowered his head.

"Thank you, Nessa for supporting me all along, I look forward to our future together," Mikala said as she raised off of the girl, then wiped her eyes and Nessa smiled at her.

"Same here, I will always be here, don't worry so much, if you need help, just ask, also don't forget that I will be sending a few of them here soon, to help, to make things easier, I will come as well," She replied and Mikala smiled at her.

"That's good, come and I didn't forget, just a little nervous, I will be crown queen soon, so basically this will be my first task, I will officially send you an invitation to the ball as well," She said and Nessa patted her on her head.

"I will definitely be here, don't worry, but for now, I will head back home, it's already night, I will see you later, take care," Nessa replied.

"Take care, Nessa," She said then Nessa went to the demon and he looked at her.

"Shall we?" She asked and he nodded then they left the same way, they came.

When she returned home, the demon left, without saying much to her other than he will see her later, but she just decided to leave it as that and since she was tired and wanted to relax a bit, for she had a lot on her mind.

The girl got changed into a long dress then went to the area where she was earlier, talking to the dragon and entered the cool water, closing her eyes as she laid back in the water with her body afloat, allowing the water to flow across her body as it fell, causing her to relax.
