Chapter 410: Not this time
Nessa left staring at the king's dead body as the others dried and she lowered her gaze, looking at how his hand was still tightly gripping hers and Mikala hugged her father tightly as well as his grandchild and she looked at the little boy.
He kept calling out to his grandfather and upon seeing that, Nessa's eyes widened as her parent's death came flashing before her eyes and she remembered that she did the same thing as well.
"Grandpa, please wake up, I will be good!!!"
Hearing him cry out like that, made Nessa close her eyes then moved her hand away from the king's before looking away from them, with a tight feeling in her chest and Mikala glanced at her.
"You did your best, you tried to save him, thank you, Nessa, thank you for coming," She said as she hugged Nessa, while tears streamed down her cheeks and Nessa patted her on her back.
"I am sorry, Mikala, I am sorry for your loss, it's going to be just fine," She replied as the girl cried louder.
Upon seeing the way their sister were, her brothers turned away, with tears in their eyes but yet tried to be strong, for they had to be there for everyone.
"I didn't expect this would happen, I ws not strong enough, they kill him, they took my father away from me, they didn't show mercy, they treated him like an animal!" She cried out and Nessa's eyes widened as the girl's tears fell on her.
"I see, no mercy huh? Don't worry Mikala, everything is going to be just fine, I promise, I will handle this, one way or the other, it's okay," She said with a piercing look in her eyes as she looked up and clenched her fists tightly.
'They will pay for this, I will kill all of them,' She thought as her eyes glowed and she patted the girl on the back.
"This wouldn't have happened if you guys had just given up, if you had not gone against us, you should have just accepted us, this is the consequence for going against us, the rest of you will be given a chance, I suggest you choose wisely or you won't survive," Someone said.
Nessa glanced back and saw a guy, who was neatly dressed, almost looking like a noble as well as a few other ment, arrived behind them and Mikala raised off of her in anger.
"Get lost! You will not get our cooperation, not after killing my father, I would rather die than to let you have this kingdom!" She shouted as her eyes glowed brightly in anger and Nessa glanced at her as she stood up.
"We stand with our sister, we would rather die as well," Her eldest brother said as he stood by her side along with her younger brother and the guy chuckled as he looked at them.
"Don't be rash, I understand how you guys are feeling, you have taken a huge lost but it's your fault in the first place, I will give you a few minutes to reconsider, if not you are not the only ones that will go down today," He said and Mikala flinched as she glanced at the city. "Don't you dare hurt those people, they have nothing to do with thi, they are innocent," She replied and he smirked.
"Then I suggest that you choose wisely, you won't be able to win against me in a fight, it's as simple as that, we don't have time to waste," He said and she lowered her gaze then exhaled deeply, thinking about what to do next.
"They are nothing but a bunch of selfish bastards," Her sister in law mumbled as tears came to her eyes.
'They have lost their backbone, the backbone of this kingdom. she needs to step up, I know this is hard but if she doesn't she won't be able to be a good leader, she has to become the new backbone, they have gone too far, so many dead, all for their greed,' Nessa thought as she looked at them.
Nessa looked at them as she stood behind the others and her eyes narrowed as she recalled all of the dead, she encountered on her journey and she scoffed.
'Things have changed, I lost myself a little but as well, I have to put an end to this, even if it's the last thing that I do, I won't let them get away with this, not this time, I have had enough, how many more has to die for them to be pleased?' She wondered.
After a few minutes of thinking, Mikala as well got the answers they wanted as did many of the others and they turned towards him.
"After thoroughly thinking this through, I am going to do what I have to, to restore what once was, we refuse your offer, so do your worse," She said and a smirk appeared on the guy's face as he looked at her.
"Do my worst huh? Are you sure about that? Are you really going to let your people pay for your punishment? Do you want a bit more extra time to think?" He asked and her eyes narrowed as she looked at him.
"No, I am going to kill you, don't even lay a finger on them," She responded and he chuckled.
Just then the child picked up rocks and began throwing it at the guy and his mother flinched as he screamed to leave them alone and the guy grunted.
"You.." He said and Mikala pulled the boy behind her as the guy pulled his sword.
Before he could touch Mikala or the child, Nessa grabbed onto the tip if his blade, stopping him and Mikala as well as the others looked at her and the guy's brows furrowed as he glanced at her then jumped back and she loooked at him.
"Who the hell are you?" He asked and she tilted her head.
"Your opponent, I am going to kill you and anyone else that makes a move," She responded and a smirk appeared on his face.
"Let's see what you can do," He said and a smirk appeared on her face as she tilted her hand.
'I am not going to forgive them, not this time,' She thought as the air around her became slightly cold.
Her eyes began glowing, the force that Mikala felt from her body, made her move back with the child.
