The next morning, after a long and slightly disturbing night, when she woke up, she stretched off then wiped her eyes before getting out of the bed and opening her balcony door.

The girl went into the balcony then stretched off, before glancing at the city and her eyes narrowed as she looked at the few houses that were broken and so on, at the edge of the city and she clenched her fists.

"The buildings and other things, I can fix in less than a week, no problem but the one thing I cannot bring back is their loss, the one thing I may never be able to repair is their hearts, this happened right under my watch..." She mumbled as she closed her eyes, allowing the cold air to brush against her face.

No matter how much she tried, all she felt was the anger growing within her and she scoffed then grabbed he clothes and went to freshen up, since she indeed had a lot of work to do as yet and had no time to slack off.

A little while after, when Nessa was finished, she got dressed then made herself a good breakfast, before leaving her mansion.

The girl went into the city and as she walked by, her people bowed their heads to her with smiles on some of their faces and she smiled back at them, while squeezing the side of her clothes.

As she walked certain parts of the city, she saw that Riki as well as Dalia and Liya, were already out with the Orcs as well as Tehitos and a few more.

"Good morning guys," She said as she approached them and all of them smiled at her.

"Good morning, lady Nessa," They replied with their heads bowed as she squeezed her clothes even tighter.

"Lady Nessa, did you eat breakfast as yet?" Liya asked as she approached her and Nessa smiled at her.

"Yeah, I had breakfast already, what are you guys doing?" She asked.

"We begun discussing with the dwarves what we should start repairing first, yesterday was something else but, we cannot sit still," Riki responded and Nessa glanced at him and she lowered her gaze.

"Certain things, cannot be repaired," She said as the air around her got slightly heavy as well as chilly and they felt it then exchanged glances, knowing she was not in a good mood.

"Lady Nessa," Riki said as he placed his hand on her shoulder and she looked at him then smiled before patting him on his hand.

"Don't worry, I am fine, I am just thinking about a few things, that's all, after all, I am your leader, I was not careful enough," She replied and his eyes narrowed.

"That's not true, you protected us even though you weren't there, you should know that, the people don't blame you, despite all that happened, they are thankful and they are many reasons for that," He said.

"He is right, they are thankful, if you hadn't come, much ore would have happened, to be honest, lots weren't sure if you would even find out what was happening, but you always do unexpected things, you showed up, saving a lot more lives, that more than just counts," Liya added.

"Those who lost members of their families or friends, they will hurt, probably for a while, but they will be able to move on, with time, no one blames you for anything, none of this was your fault," Dalia said and Sai nodded then she scoffed and she smiled at them.

"Thank you, guys, did you find out the names and so on of those that died?" She asked.

"Yeah, we got most of them, their names, friends and families, everything, it's ready for you when you want it," Tehitos responded and she patted him on his arm.

"That's good to know, thank you very much, I need it, I will go visit everyone that lost somebody here yesterday, it's the least I can do for them," She said and they all smiled at her.

"All right, if that's what you want to do then we don't have any sorts of objections, as long as it's what you want to do," Dalia added.

"It's more like it's the right thing to do," She said and Dalia sighed then she patted the girl on her shoulder.

"Relax, I am fine, there is no need for you guys to worry about anything, I will be fine, I have my responsibilities, there are things that I need to take care of as well," She added and they nodded.

"So, what do you want us to do now?" Tehitos asked and she looked at him, before looking around at the city and her brows furrowed as she thought about what needed to be done.

"All right, you guys do as was suggested, the necessary tasks first then we will handle the rest later, how does that sound?" She asked as they exchanged glances.

"Sounds good to me, though there is not too much to do, nothing that we cannot handle," Riki responded and she sighed with a smile.

"Good, I am glad to hear that, now there is one other thing that I need to do before I go visit those homes but it's in the city I left, in order to come here," She said and they smiled at her.

"I guess it is something important?" Liya asked.

"Yeah, plus I left without saying much, I need to give an explanation as well or it may be considered as rude," She responded.

"Well, we understand, don't worry, you go and take care of that, we will handle all that needs to be done here, no need to overdo it," Liya said.

"All right, thank you guys, I won't be too late, I will be back soon," She replied.

"Okay, be careful," Riki said.

"I will, same to you guys and make sure you get to me if something happens, I won't be too long, just for a little while, bye," She replied.

"Bye," They said then she disappeared and they went back to doing their work and a few minutes after, Nessa arrived just outside of the city and upon seeing the state of the city with parts destroyed her eyes widened.
