NOVEL NEXT Chapter 405: "We are at war."
After dealing with the last of them, Nessa exhaled deeply and she looked around her before looking up at the eye in the sky and her eyes narrowed, seeing all of those that were dead and injured around her.
'This is just a prelude, they are not going to stop, are they?' She wondered as she lowered her head and the demon's eyes narrowed as he looked at her.
'I have to make another move, my primary focus right now has to be to protect and get rid of them in order for this place to remain peaceful,' She thought.
"Lady Nessa, they are all dead, just as you ordered but are you okay?" Riki asked as he approached her and she sighed then lifted her right hand up in the air.
The device in the middle of the city, began shaking at a fast rate and the eyes began disappearing from the sky, as that which was attached to it and was pulled right back into er, causing her eyes to glow for a split second before returning to normal.
"Don't worry about me Riki, I am your leader, this is my responsibility, it also happened because I was slightly a step behind, this is not going to happen again and I am not going to let it happen again, no matter what I may have to do," She responded with a piercing look in her eyes as she turned to look at him.
Riki's eyes narrowed when he saw that look and he bowed his head and a smirk appeared on the demon's face as he looked at her.
'I wonder what is going to happen now and how this backfire, this is going to be a good turn of events,' He thought as he looked at Nessa.
"Lady Nessa...." Tehitos mumbled as they all approached her in the center of the city and she glanced at them.
"Each of you that were injured, please go and see the healers as for those that are now gone, start burying them, please, I am sorry about all of this, as a leader I should have been more careful," She said as she lowered her gaze and the people began exchanging glances.
"Leader?" Mikala asked and the demon looked at her.
"The leader of that nation is Nessa?" The king asked as they looked at the demon, who scoffed.
"You guys have the right to think as you please, I have no right to answer those questions," He responded and they exchanged glances.
"Her? The leader? That's impossible, according to everything we heard, it is supposed to be a guy," Kyle said.
"Are you seriously going there right now? You guys are just threatened because she is one that rose to that level on her own, unlike some of those popular names out there and the fact that she is just a young girl, it must be all the more heart aching, a young girl with power far greater than that normal crown carries....
I wonder what you guys are going to do then," The demon said and Jyle stared at him.
"They will find out and when they do, she will be nothing more than a fallen," He replied and the demon grabbed onto his neck, squeezing him so hard that his face began changing colour.
"Mister..." Mikala mumbled and he glanced at her then stepped away from Kyle, releasing him in the process.
"Lady Nessa, none of this is your fault, you were so far away yet you got here the minute you heard we were in trouble, you saved all of this, saved us and much more, I am sure those who lost their lives, would agree with me, you don't need to say certain things," An orc said to her and Nessa exhaled deeply as she looked at her.
"Thank you for your kind words," Nessa replied and the orc nodded as she looked at Nessa.
"Well, we have lots of cleaning up to do, we better get started on that as well, there is much to do but please, all of you get some rest, we will start with cleaning up tomorrow, for now listen to me, no matter where you go right about now, please protect yourself, we will provide whatever you may need, I have more to say," She said and they looked at her.
'I am not wrong, this is definitely not like her, what is going on within that head of yours?' The demon wondered as he looked from afar.
"I can't believe my eyes right now, she really is the leader of that nation, she kept it hidden so well... She really is amassing and I am glad that they managed to defeat the enemies, I don't care what others say, I like and will follow her," Mikala said and her father looked at her then he sighed.
"Lady Nessa, please go ahead and say what more you want to, please," Liya said to Nessa who exhaled deeply with barely any expression on her face.
"This is not the end of what happened today, in fact, this is just the beginning of all that's happened within the area, so far, they will return because they want part of this land as well, my land, which means that you guys will be in danger and in order to avoid everything being destroyed and more lives being lost... I have to take a large step," She replied as they paid close attention.

"A large step? What do you mean?" Dalia asked as Nessa looked at the dead bodies that were being covered and some of her people that were crying.
"Damn... This is harsh, yet she is handling it so well, like a true leader would but...." Mikala mumbled and the demon scoffed.
"I cannot be the same way I always was, I am your leader it is my duty to make sure that certain things do happen and prevent it at any cost, they are a problem which is not just a threat to us but others as well and after this, I am not going to spare them."
"I am going to hunt every last one of them, until they are all dead, after all, a war was initiated the minute they laid their eyes here and attack, for the first time ever, we are at war," She said as everyone stared at her and her eyes narrowed as they glowed brightly.
