Aria Of The Cursed Dragon

Shen Lin knew she shouldn't be the only one feeling this as something major was happening and she was wary of the fact that she couldn't understand what was happening.

Those connected to the World Tree are leagues above the rest of their race, automatically giving them the authority to be the leaders of their race.

Shen Lin was the strongest of the Priestesses , although it wasn't much it was still enough to make her the leader among them.

The Priestesses never participated in wars nor did they try to conquer other realms , their only purpose was to maintain balance.

They cooperated with each other to maintain balance and each and every one of them had a harmonious relationship with each other.

Shen Lin was the the oldest and most knowledgeable Priestess so she was like a big sister to the others.

Shen Lin walked with brisk steps towards the edge of her palace where an Artifact was present.

It had existed even before her Palace was built here , it's rumoured that it existed long before the current world of Eden existed.

She didn't even know what the Artifact was capable of other than the fact that it was a golden sphere that seemed to be made from indistructable material.

But now she sensed strong energy fluctuations from it prompting her to check on it...

Shen Lin watched with anticipation and weariness as a floating light sphere glowed in front of her as the remains of what seemed to be the Artifact's outer covering laid there.

She didn't know what this Artifact did but records did exist and only a name was mentioned.

'Eye of Eve'

In front of Shen Lin's eyes the sphere glowed intensely before shooting out at high speed towards the direction of the World Tree.

Space seemed to fluctuate as the sphere vanished from sight.

Shen Lin could feel the energy fluctuations from the World Tree rising and she was sure the others would also be able to feel this.

Something huge was happening and this was bound to bring upon changes to this world, good or bad only time would tell...

Siegfried was standing in the barren land as he had a dead look in his eyes.

He didn't know how many lifetimes he had lived through, but each of them had left a scar on his mind.

It was like constant torture , he didn't know if what he was experiencing right now was a memory or what was happening to him was real , his mind was on the cusp of breaking.

Siegfried felt the urge to just vanish as he didn't want to endure this torment anymore.

The space seemed to crack as his mindscape was becoming unstable, being tormented for millions of years would break any man and Siegfried had to endure betrayal , losses , torture and all of them.

It was like he was a cursed existence.

But as Siegfried was collapsing a white sphere of light rushed towards him as it entered his body making him go limp as his body floated in his mind scape.

The cracks in the space mended itself as he his body started glowing before it vanished slowly into light particles...

Unknown universe...

In a forest a spatial crack opened up as tendrils of light floated out of it carrying a large cocoon and after gently placing the cocoon on the ground the tendrils receded back into the spatial crack as it closed up and it was like it never existed before.

A white sphere floated out of the Cocoon as it scanned the cocoon before going back inside.

After this small action even more energy erupted from the Cocoon but surprisingly it didn't create any fluctuations other than a small thump like a beating heart.

...

Seconds ..... Minutes .... Hours .... Days .... Months .... Years .... And more years passed as vegetation grew around the Cocoon until it was hidden under the foliage making it unrecognisable.

*Crack*

A cracking sound echoed in the silent forest making the small animals residing in the trees to run away.

Cracks formed on the cocoon as they spread along the surface of it until a large crack formed and an arm burst out of it.

Shortly afterwards the Cocoon was cracked open as the figure of a man was visible , he remained motionless as he stayed still and after a moment he opened his eyes and they seemed to contain a myriad of complicated emotions and he let out a sigh.

" Eve " He said calmly as a sphere of light came out of his chest and it floated near him.

" Lord Siegfried" A mechanical voice greeted him as he took in the sight around him.

" Where am I ? " Siegfried asked Eve as he looked around for something to cover his nakedness.

A leaf would have to do for now but before that he had to recede the effects the transformation he acquired due to the fusion of the bloodline.

Siegfried touched the horns on his head as he could feel the wings and sharp tail on his back. He could feel the power coursing through his body which was to be expected as Primordial Demon was no joke.

Siegfried felt complicated because for the first time in his life he could do anything he wanted , he could start over with a clean slate.

When he was feeling utter despair and was on the verge of giving up this Artifact merged with his soul stabilising his condition.

It already briefed him on its capabilities and he was impressed by this fusion of technology and magic.

There were many questions and doubts in his mind but Eve had already told him he would get the answers on his own as they were within him.

Eve told him he had a connection to the World Tree the entity that maintains balance and life in the Universe and Siegfried was surprised and confused.

But he didn't bother thinking too much since he would get the answer sooner or later and he felt that this missing piece of the puzzle was very important to him.

But he could go at this at his own pace while leaving the painful memories behind , it was time for him to stop being a hero and just be Siegfried.

It's time he had a carefree life and live however the way he wants....
