Aria Of The Cursed Dragon

They had been traveling for a few days and every waking moment the couple would spend it with each other.

From Enjoying the scenary to taking baths together , there wasn't a moment they weren't intimate.

It was going to be night time soon and Siegfried had chosen a nice spot to set up camp so after setting up their tents , he and Artoria decided to enjoy the sunset together.

Siegfried leaned against a tree as Artoria sat on his lap with her head on his shoulder. She felt comfortable with his warm hands wrapped around her waist and how his hands were stroking her tummy from underneath her shirt.

It felt comfortable as she leaned against him while holding his arms.

"It's so beautiful!" Artoria couldn't help but exclaim as the view was truly breathtaking.

The sky painted red by the rays of the setting sun along with the atmosphere in the mountains was something novel.

" It is ...but you know what's more beautiful?" Sieg asked in a gentle tone while resting his chin on top of her head.

" What? " Artoria was a bit confused as she asked him in an inquiring tone.

" You..." Siegfried whispered in her ear in an affectionate tone and he felt a shiver run down her body causing him to smile.

" W-Why are you so cheesy" Artoria tried to play it off as Siegfried couldn't see her flushed face but her reddned ears betrayed her.

" You still like it tho~ Princess~ " Siegfried said in a teasing tone as he kissed Artoria on top of her head.

" Jerk" Artoria muttered as she smiled at his words , her heart was beating so fast after hearing his affectionate words but she was embarrassed to show her flushed face because it would only make Sieg more smug.

" And you love this jerk~" Siegfried said in sing song tone.

" Yes~ Yes~ " Artoria rolled her eyes as she replied with a smile.

The coupled basked in each other's presence as they didn't think about anything else other than themselves.

Feeling this happiness Artoria had decided that a month was just too little so she decided to to be away from her duties for an year.

For an entire year she wouldn't have to be the royal princess , she could just be a woman in love.

At first she had decided to just spent one month away from her royal duties as she felt a month was enough for her to steel her heart and get closure.

But spending time with him without having to worry about anything else made her greedy to have more.

It would take an year for him to get married anyway and it's not like her father announced the marriage everywhere.

So both Siegfried and her could spend time together away from everything for an year.

She knew her father would get upset but she didn't have the heart to care , after what he did to her.

Her only duty was to the realm now and if her father doesn't pass the throne to her then who would he do it to, she was the perfect heir atleast that's how she was raised.

Artoria knew she was strong and was different from normal people , she was aware of her unique birth as Merlin had told her of this.

The reason she was confident in leaving for a year was also due to Merlin , she was sure that Merlin would understand and persuade her father.

And unlike others Merlin was quite fond of Siegfried and had tried to change Uthers view point but in the end gave up as Uther was just as stubborn as ever.

Other matters can wait since it was time for her to live her life even if It was a measly year....

Artoria was skinning a deer as she was washing the meat thoroughly to get rid of any excess blood.

The nobles and citizens might just have their minds blown away if they saw their royal princess doing such work that they considered beneath her.

Artoria didn't have any disgust as some blood got on her clothes or droplets accidentally splashed on her skin.

She just wiped it away with the sleeve of her clothes while she continued on her task.

These past few months have been the happiest she had ever lived in her life. Even if life was just mundane , with the presence of her Sieg , she was able to be content.

It was just an ordinary and mundane life , where they would just live like a any normal person living in the woods.

Artoria smiled softly to herself as she decided to ramp up her pace as Siegfried would be back any moment and she couldn't let him wait any longer , since he should have to traverse a lot to harvest some good timber.

It should be nothing for a person like Siegfried but Artoria's thought process currently was just like a caring wife so she would just want to gush over Siegfried for every little thing.

Artoria let out a satisfied sigh as she had finished cleaning the meat , and after taking out the portion they were going to eat , the rest should be preserved or sold to the nearby town a few kilometres away.

Artoria suddenly let out a yelp as she felt a hand wrap around her waist and she felt a familiar embrace causing her to smile...
