Chapter 565: Cultivation Zones
The system was quiet for a second.
[No. These fire stones can only be found in your dimension pockets. They cannot be copied or created by other means.]
Su Jiyai tilted her head.
"Then how do I get more of them?"
[You can open dimensional portals to search for other worlds that have these stones. But in your case, there is a better way. If you go deeper into your current dimension pocket, you will find mountains filled with glowing stones like this.]
Her eyes lit up.
"Mountains? Really?"
[Yes. Your dimension is not just a flat space. It has layers. Go deeper and you'll find entire areas filled with rare resources.]
Su Jiyai's mouth fell open.
She quickly asked, "Then, how long does one fire stone last?"
The system paused again and did some calculations.
[One fire stone can power your entire base for one month.]
Su Jiyai stood still, shocked. Then her lips curled into a wide smile.
"System, you're amazing."
It was the first time she had ever said something like that.
The system, caught off guard, replied with a strange tone.
[O-oh… it's nothing. I'm just doing my job. But… thank you.]
It paused before adding, [If you keep exploring your own dimension or open dimensional pockets using different coordinates, you can collect more rare things. There's a lot waiting for you.]
Su Jiyai chuckled.
"For the first time, I feel like you're not completely useless."
[...Thanks?]
Feeling excited, Su Jiyai returned to the system interface. One by one, she started building new rooms and lands for each element.
First, she built a Water Zone, filling it with natural spring water and placing a blue elemental core in the center. The air inside became fresh and cool, and the room glowed with calming blue light.
Next, she created a Wind Zone, using a green elemental core. The space filled with soft breezes that never stopped, like the sky itself was alive.
Then came the Earth Zone, where the walls were made of solid rock and rich soil. She planted some of the herbs there to test how they grew in pure earth energy.
After that, she built a Wood Zone, using energy from the Moonlace herb and a wood-element core. The room grew vines and trees on its own. It was like a forest in a box.
She didn't stop there.
She used a rare Space Crystal she had been saving and built a small Space Element Room. The walls shimmered like stars, and inside the room, time even felt a little slower.
Each new land she made glowed with its own color and feeling. They were more than just storage. They were living training zones and power sources.
She took a deep breath and whispered softly, "My work is almost done. Now I can finally rest."
Without saying anything more, she used the teleport function in her system and returned to Qin Feng's room. The lights were dim, and Qin Feng was already fast asleep, breathing softly under the blanket.
She smiled faintly and lay down beside him, her body relaxing for the first time in a long while.
The night passed quietly.
The next morning, people around the base started waking up. The early risers were the first to notice something strange. In several corners of the base, new signs had been placed with glowing letters: Training Zones Available.
A crowd started to gather.
"What is this?" one man muttered, scratching his head. "Training zones? Aren't we already using the spring water room?"
"Yeah," another woman said, frowning. "Why would Boss Su suddenly build something else? We already have ways to train."
More people gathered, all confused.
"What's with these zones? Look, there's one called Fire Zone and another called Earth Zone."
"There's even something called Space Zone… What does that even mean?"
Curiosity got the better of them. One man stepped forward and approached the entrance of one of the zones. A screen lit up in front of him.
[Please swipe your ability card to enter. One hour = 500 points.]
"Five hundred?!" he gasped. "That's expensive!"
"Try it anyway!" someone in the crowd urged. "Let's see if it's worth it."
Shrugging, the man swiped his card. The screen lit up again.
[Please choose your element: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Wood, Space.]
The man looked at the list. He had a water superpower but just for fun, he tapped on Fire.
Suddenly, his body was surrounded by a flash of light, and then… he was gone.
He appeared inside a strange room. There was a warm red glow around him. He looked around and saw a pond with red-colored water. The air felt thick with heat, and the ground was warm beneath his feet.
"Whoa," he whispered. "This… This feels amazing."
Just as he was about to jump into the pond, a robotic voice stopped him.
[Please use the changing room before entering the elemental zone. Reminder: Peeing in the pond is strictly forbidden. Violators will be teleported out without clothing.]
The man froze, eyes wide.
"What kind of rule is that?" he muttered. But then he chuckled. "Well… it makes sense. Who wants pee in the training water?"
He followed the instructions and changed into a white robe that was hanging nearby. It felt soft and light, like silk.
Then, carefully, he stepped into the pond.
As soon as he entered, a wave of warm energy rushed into his body. His eyes fluttered closed without him even realizing it.
"This feels… so good," he whispered.
The heat didn't burn. Instead, it melted into his skin and bones, making his power bubble up and flow stronger than ever.
Time passed without him noticing. It was only when a loud shrill beep sounded that he snapped back to reality.
[One hour has passed. Please exit the zone.]
His eyes flew open.
"Already?" he said, confused.
Then he paused. Something was different.
He clenched his fist. "Wait… I broke through! I was stuck at level six for weeks… and now I'm level seven?"
He jumped out of the pond, excited, and quickly swiped his card again.
"I'm reserving this whole zone for the day!"
Back outside, people were still waiting.
"Why hasn't he come out yet?"
"Yeah, it's been hours!"
"I bet he's hogging the zone!"
One by one, more people entered different zones to test them out. Each person came in with doubt and came out never.
The same thing happened again and again.
Wind ability users entered the Wind Zone. Earth users entered the Earth Zone. Even normal users tried the Wood Zone just to see what it felt like.
No one wanted to leave.
Hours passed. Then a whole day. Then two. Then three.
And those who hadn't gotten the chance to enter were getting angrier and angrier.
"This is ridiculous!" one man shouted. "Why aren't they coming out?"
"They're probably hiding inside on purpose!"
"They're treating it like their personal house! Selfish jerks!"
"Just wait until they come out! We'll beat them up!"
But no matter how long they waited, the people inside didn't come out. Not one.
By the fourth day, a group of frustrated users stormed into the reception building where Yuan Xin was working.
Yuan Xin blinked in surprise as the crowd surrounded his desk.
"Uh… Good morning?" he said.
"Yuan Xin!" one woman cried. "Please! You have to help us!"
Another man pushed forward. "Tell Boss Su to make more of those training zones! We're dying out here!"
"She only made a few! They're all full!"
"We can't get in at all!"
"We're begging you!"
Yuan Xin raised his hands to calm them. "Alright, alright! I'll send a message to Boss Su right away!"
He opened his tablet and typed quickly.
Up in her room, Su Jiyai was reading some reports when the message popped up.
She blinked.
"Huh? Why are they so desperate all of a sudden?"
She scrolled through the message and started laughing.
"They've all been stuck outside for days?"
She shook her head. "Guess I didn't expect this much demand."
Without waiting, she opened her system and began building more zones.
Water Zone, Wind Zone, Fire Zone… She made more of each.
Then more again.
Soon, there were thirty… then forty.
But even with all of them made, the land was already full.
Su Jiyai stood on the edge of her base, arms crossed, looking at the land beyond her walls.
The new cultivation zones were already packed full, and people were lining up at the gates, waiting for a chance to go inside. Even after building over forty zones, it wasn't enough.
She sighed. "This is ridiculous. I didn't think they'd be this popular."
She checked her system map. There was still some land left from the nearby bases she had taken over, but it was too far away. What she really needed was more land right next to her current base.
Her eyes landed on the empty areas nearby.
"This land still belongs to the military," she muttered to herself.
