Apocalypse Chat Group: Conquering the Heroines

Chapter 31: Chapter 31 – Nami Sold Herself!

Shhh!

The sound of liquid splattering.

A warm sensation brushed past Nami's cheek.

The crushing pressure on her neck suddenly disappeared.

Gasp!

Air rushed back into her lungs as the suffocating grip vanished. Nami collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

Cough, cough!

She coughed violently, gasping for air.

"What just happened…"

With a mix of confusion and fear, she struggled to lift her head.

In front of her stood a man in peculiar clothing, holding a severed blue arm in his hand.

"Trash."

Tatsuki clicked his tongue in disdain and tossed the arm onto the ground in front of Nami.

"!"

Nami's eyes widened in shock.

It was Arlong's arm!

"Aaaaahhh! My arm!"

Arlong's agonized screams rang out.

Looking up, Nami saw Arlong clutching his bleeding shoulder where his right arm had been severed, blood spurting everywhere.

He had lost his arm!

"Boss Arlong!"

The fish-men were a mix of terror and fury, rushing to shield Arlong as they glared at Tatsuki with murderous intent.

Arlong, his face contorted in rage, bellowed, "Damn human! Who the hell are you?!"

Despite his anger, Arlong remained cautious. He didn't charge blindly because he had no idea where Tatsuki had come from or how he had attacked.

Tatsuki ignored him completely, turning instead to Nami. He extended his right hand.

"Are you okay?"

Still dazed, Nami allowed Tatsuki to help her up, blurting out her question.

"Who… are you?"

"Tatsuki, administrator of the chat group," he replied casually.

"Eh?!"

Nami stared at him in disbelief.

"But you said you couldn't come to my world!"

Tatsuki shrugged.

"Check the chat group. Your world triggered an Apocalypse Quest, so now I can be here."

"…"

Nami hastily opened the chat group and saw the notification for the Apocalypse Quest.

Realizing what this meant, and knowing Tatsuki could easily defeat the fish-men, her eyes filled with hope and tears.

"Please help me, Administrator-san! Kill all the fish-men and save Cocoyasi Village! You can have everything I own!"

Tatsuki raised an eyebrow at her, then smirked.

"You said it yourself. My mission is just to deal with Arlong. But since you insist, I'll accept your heartfelt offer. From now on, you're mine."

"Eh?!"

Nami suddenly realized something was off. She looked at the Apocalypse Quest again and saw the objective: Eliminate Arlong!

Her face went blank as the realization hit her like a brick.

'What did I just do?! Wasn't I basically offering myself?!'

Her mind screamed internally as she pieced it together.

Meanwhile, Tatsuki paid no mind to her internal crisis.

If a beautiful girl delivered herself on a silver platter, why not accept?

Tatsuki turned his gaze to Arlong.

The cold, disdainful look in his eyes made Arlong grind his teeth in fury.

"Damn human! Get him—kill him!"

Arlong roared.

"Kill! Kill him!"

"How dare he harm Boss Arlong—tear him apart!"

The fish-men brandished their weapons, charging at Tatsuki with vengeful cries.

"This is bad!"

Nami's face went pale with terror. Years of oppression had ingrained in her a reflexive urge to run from fish-men.

"Tch, a bunch of trash."

Tatsuki didn't even bother moving from where he stood. He simply clenched his right hand.

An invisible surge of wind and airflow, under his control, pressed in on the fish-men from all directions at once.

Their bodies twisted and contorted under the crushing force.

"Argh!"

Boom!

One fish-man's body, unable to withstand the pressure, exploded on the spot.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

One after another, like fireworks, they all burst apart.

"Ahh…"

The gruesome scene made Nami's heart clench with fear.

Having just watched all his underlings wiped out, Arlong was overcome with rage, his eyes bloodshot. Yet he didn't move forward. Instead, clutching his severed arm, he retreated in fear.

He was terrified.

He wanted to run.

Arlong turned and fled—racing back toward Arlong Park.

As long as he could get there!

"He's getting away!"

Nami called out urgently. Letting him reach the sea would be disastrous.

"Relax. He won't escape."

The moment the words left Tatsuki's mouth, he vanished like a flash of lightning.

"Damn human! When you leave, I'll slaughter every last person in Cocoyasi Village!"

Arlong shouted his cruel threat as he ran.

"You won't get that chance."

A calm voice echoed nearby.

"What?!"

Arlong spun around in alarm, only to see a fist hurtling toward his head.

Bang!

Like a watermelon smashing open, red juice mixed with white flesh spattered in all directions. The instant it neared Tatsuki, however, the spray was mysteriously repelled—he clearly didn't want a single drop on himself.

Glancing at his pristine right hand, he nodded in satisfaction before turning back to Nami.

Thud.

Arlong's headless corpse crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Look, Arlong's dead."

He gestured at the body.

"D-dead?!"

Nami gaped in disbelief. The mighty fish-man Arlong—who had seemed like a demon itself—now lay lifeless on the ground. The same tyrant who had murdered Bell-mère and terrorized Cocoyasi Village was gone, just like that.

A wave of unreality coursed through her. She had no time to process it before Tatsuki scooped her up in his arms.

'Since you already sold yourself to me, I can pick you up anytime I want, right? Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.'
