Chapter 20: Head

With a flick of his hand, the ticket flew towards the gluttonous archway.

The archway radiated a now golden glow, as 27 dimmed-out lights manifested in the air above.

However, in an instant, the 27 lights converged into 9 stars. It was quite an amazing spectacle if anyone had the reaction time to have noticed the process.

Alfie waited in anticipation to see the power and potential of his first subordinate.

He had learned from Rina that most subordinates were low-level, around 1-3 stars, but he felt that since the ticket was from Anti, it'd result in better odds for something greater.

The stars began to light up, with the first then to the second, and then to the third. Something in the air was gathering around the archway, indicating something amazing was gonna happen.

Rina was ready to congratulate the lord when the fourth star also lit up. It was then that the wind really began to pick up.

Trees started to sway, mysterious clouds covered the sky, and a small quack caused the ground to split and crack.

Followed by the chorus of thunder, a malnourished teen stepped out of the archway.

His silver hair and pale skin, made him stick out in the lush greenery of the forest behind him.

Alfie studied the malnourished kid before walking up to him and extending his hand.

The kid studied him back before shaking Alfie's hand.

"Welcome to my kingdom. I'm Alfie." Alfie declared.

The kid looked around before saying, "You've literally got nothing here."

"It's a work in progress." Alfie shamelessly stated.

"Cocky and rich, just my luck." The kid complained.

"What makes you think I'm rich??" Alfie asked.

"Trying to play dumb or something? That outfit of yours is fitted with insane levels of charms and protections. Your parents clearly spent a pretty penny on it." The kid stated.

"Oh, I really didn't know though.." Alfie stated.

"Guess I'll add spoiled onto the list." He added.

"Wait what's your name by the way?" Alfie asked.

"Finally asked huh, it's Ivory," he claimed.

"Fitting with your white hair and all it's a nice name." Alfie complimented.

"Thanks but I'm not the only subordinate you're gonna summon right?" Ivory asked.

"I don't have any other tickets though?" Alfie asked.

Ivory rolled his eyes before sighing, "Check your pockets, one of them probably has a spatial enhancement."

It took a little bit of fiddling around before Alfie reached into a pocket that seemed to hold a lot more than it should've been able to.

Although going in blind, he managed to grab a single ticket. He was a bit disappointed seeing that it was only one, but the writing on it dispelled any thoughts.

'1000 summon ticket' x30. Alfie rubbed his eyes to make sure he read that right. He had a ticket that let him summon 30,000 subjects into his territory? Maybe Ivory was right, whoever he was they were bloody fucking rich.

He had felt some other things wandering around his little pocket space, were they of similar value too?

In a daze he started pulling out blueprints, summoning tickets for specific professions, numerous materials for buildings, copious amounts of food, and even a manual on how to survive different terrains one might find themselves in.

He was fucking rich.

"Wow. Just wow." Ivory commented.

"I'm honestly just as shocked as you are," Alfie admitted.

Ivory only rolled his eyes before he sighed at the sheer amount of wealth Alfie possessed.

"Got any advice for me?" Alfie asked.

"Shouldn't your tutors have taught you what to do?" Ivory asked.

"Would you believe me if I said I somehow lost all my memories when I came here," Alfie asked.

"Considering you got a massive gash on your head, yes actually," Ivory admitted.

"Wait what." Alfie blurted.

Immediately he began feeling the back of his head until he indeed stumbled upon a small gash around the size of a small pebble.

"I honestly don't know how you didn't notice. But if you want my advice, grab that doctor summoning ticket before you die from bleeding." Ivory advised.

Alfie took only a moment to thank Ivory before launching towards the archway with a ticket in hand.

In a few seconds, 2 stars shined above the archway as a woman clad in greenery stepped out.

"I greet the lord." She said reverently.

Alessa had been waiting for this moment. To enter the universe hidden within had been a dream for her since childhood.

She had trained her whole life to prepare for the time she was chosen. She learned from the best how to become the best lord possible.

But it ended up all for naught, once she passed her adolescence. She hadn't been chosen, simple as that.

She who was once so acclaimed fell to obscurity. But despite her dream of being a lord shattered, she knew of her one last chance to see the other world.

Opening her eyes, she knew she would see the lord who had summoned her.

Instead, she only saw the open blue skies and the forest horizon. Where was the lord? She had heard their footsteps so they couldn't have disappeared so soon.

She saw a man with white colored hair in the distance but she didn't feel the connection she had heard of.

It was only when she turned her sight down did she saw the lord lying face down on the dirt unconscious.
