Chapter 522: Chapter 522: No Way to Explain This Clearly
Tomoyo knew exactly what little Tomoyo was thinking—after all, it was her younger self. How could she not understand?
So she quickly comforted her. With her here, everything would be fine. Little Tomoyo nodded in agreement and stopped worrying about it.
Seeing this, Takumi immediately opened a space portal leading to little Tomoyo's house.
The sudden appearance of the portal shocked both little Tomoyo and Sakura. It led directly to her home?
Little Tomoyo was dumbfounded.
"Let's go!" Takumi said, then walked through the portal with Bronya.
Tomoyo followed suit, taking little Tomoyo by the hand.
One by one, the group passed through the portal and arrived in Tomoyo's home.
It was only a bit past 8 PM.
Tomoyo's mother, Sonomi Daidouji, was still awake, waiting for her daughter to return.
When little Tomoyo returned, she quickly opened the door and invited everyone in.
Hearing the door open, Sonomi came out.
"To... Tomoyo?"
She was about to say something when she saw the grown-up Tomoyo. She froze.
"Mom!" little Tomoyo called out.
Sonomi, still in her pajamas, stared blankly at the older Tomoyo.
"Mother!" Tomoyo greeted her warmly.
"You're... Tomoyo?" Sonomi snapped back to her senses, utterly confused at the two Tomoyos.
"Yes, I'm also Tomoyo," the older Tomoyo said with a gentle smile.
Seeing that smile, Sonomi was convinced—this was her daughter. She didn't know how she had appeared, but only her daughter could smile like that.
From childhood to now, that gentle expression was something only her beloved daughter could make.
"Mom! Let me explain," little Tomoyo quickly stepped in.
Slowly, Sonomi began to understand. This Tomoyo came from another world—and she was already an adult.
Sonomi was stunned.
And then came another shock: Takumi was Tomoyo's boyfriend?
Her eyes shifted to Takumi with a scrutinizing gaze.
It was the gaze of a mother-in-law evaluating her future son-in-law.
Since the adult Tomoyo was her daughter, Takumi would naturally be her son-in-law. So she needed to assess him properly.
From appearances alone, Takumi was flawless. He also seemed quite powerful. His looks alone already satisfied her.
After all, Sonomi was quite fond of good looks herself.
"Treat Tomoyo well," she finally said.
With that, Sonomi had acknowledged Takumi.
Takumi smiled brightly upon hearing this. Tomoyo, on the other hand, was speechless.
Seriously, this was getting out of hand! They weren't actually in that kind of relationship!
But seeing her mother's expression, she decided not to explain.
It would only make things more complicated.
"Come in and have a seat. Sakura, why don't you stay over tonight? I'll call your house," Sonomi said, turning to Sakura.
Without hesitation, she made the arrangements herself.
Sakura quickly nodded.
"By the way, Tomoyo, why didn't you bring grown-up Sakura with you this time?" Sonomi asked curiously.
Even Sakura looked curious. Could it be that their adult selves didn't get along?
"Sakura recently woke up from a problem she had. That's why I didn't bring her—she's resting at home. We came directly from her place. There'll be chances for you all to meet in the future."
Tomoyo explained everything patiently.
When they heard something had happened to Sakura, Sonomi immediately grew concerned.
"Is she alright?" she asked, visibly worried.
Little Tomoyo was also anxious.
Sakura, however, was baffled.
What happened to her other self?
"She's fine now. Takumi already healed her," Tomoyo said with a smile.
Everyone sighed in relief.
Soon, they all sat down and chatted. Sonomi asked questions, and Tomoyo answered.
Luckily, Sakura and the others didn't have school the next day. Otherwise, they would have been sent to bed already.
Once the conversation died down a bit, Takumi spoke.
"I plan to set up a portal in your home. That way, you can visit Tomoyo's world anytime. She's a princess there, and the portal will be built in her royal residence. Please keep it a secret—I won't interfere too much with your world.
"Sakura, little Tomoyo, you could come to my world to study. You can learn all kinds of magic and such. Everything is taught in my world. Especially little Tomoyo—no matter the world, your talent is extraordinary."
He looked at little Tomoyo as he said this.
Little Tomoyo was momentarily stunned.
She had talent?
She had never thought of herself that way.
Could it be she had magical talent too?
Tomoyo was equally curious.
Sonomi's eyes sparkled at Takumi's words.
"That sounds great! Thank you."
She fully supported Takumi's suggestion. Tomoyo had already told her about his world.
If her daughter could go study there, it would be amazing.
Gaining supernatural powers? Even better.
If Takumi said she had talent, then it must be true.
She was really looking forward to it. Maybe she could visit Takumi's world too.
After everyone agreed, Takumi got to work.
Sonomi chose an unoccupied room for him to build the portal.
When he finished, Takumi said,
"We'll head back for now. Tomorrow, use this gate to go directly to Tomoyo's palace. For now, everyone should get some rest."
It was getting late, so he decided to leave things for tomorrow.
