Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 125: Natalia: Marry Her!

Evelynna's voice was quiet, but the girls around Logan all heard it.

They didn't expect Evelynna to be so bold. All of them turned away, feeling shy and not daring to look directly at Logan and Evelynna.

This gave Evelynna the perfect chance to be alone with Logan. She quickly handed him a note and then left.

Logan opened the note and read the words. His eyebrows furrowed. "Kafka is actually Diana's sister?"

Just thinking about having to face another angel made Logan feel like his head was about to explode.

He wasn't scared of angels' power. He just really didn't like their arrogance.

Logan and his group soon finished drawing their lots. Based on the numbers, the ten opponents for each familiar were already decided.

To be fair, the competition organizers did a pretty good job with the draw.

The opponents assigned to Logan's familiars were well-balanced in type and strength.

As Logan was checking out his opponents one by one, Evelynna walked over with Kafka.

As soon as Kafka's six wings appeared, everyone in the crowd turned their eyes toward her.

Combined with her holy and proud look, some Temple followers even knelt down.

"Wow, it's a six-winged angel! Three halos on her head—this is so cool!"

"I remember the vice president of the Familiar Tamer Association, Michelangelo, had an angel as his familiar!"

"That's right, but Michelangelo has reached Legend stage now. If his angel were still around, it would definitely be in the top eight today."

These comments soon reached Kafka's ears.

She hated being compared to other angels.

"Silence!" she shouted sharply.

A bright light filled the entire drawing square.

In an instant, almost everyone had to close their eyes from the brightness.

Even those who had been talking about Kafka stopped speaking and stayed quiet.

Only a few strong familiar tamers managed to withstand the bright light. They gave Kafka and Evelynna a cold, unfriendly look.

But Kafka didn't care. She walked straight up to Logan.

"Is your familiar the one who beat my sister?" she asked directly, her eyes fixed on Logan. Her tone was not just similar to Diana's—it was almost exactly the same.

"No." Logan said, shaking his head right away.

"Hmph! A coward! You don't have the guts to admit it. No wonder Diana chose that dirty holy girl instead of you, a lowly human." Kafka's words were sharp and cruel. Yelena and Sawako frowned at her harsh tone.

"Excuse me, but you're misunderstanding." Jessica sighed. "Logan's familiar didn't beat Diana. It was Logan himself who defeated her."

After saying that, Jessica raised her hand and opened her familiar space. Diana stepped out, glowing with holy light.

Same three halos, same six wings. Diana's power was just as strong as Kafka's.

As soon as she saw Kafka, Diana gasped. "Kafka? You're also here in this world?"

Kafka couldn't believe it. She had barely seen Diana for a few months, and now her little sister had grown strong enough to match her. She felt uneasy. "Diana, you've fallen." She said, disappointment in her voice.

Diana just smiled. "I haven't fallen yet. But I'm getting closer."

"Getting closer?" Kafka couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Are you even ashamed of falling?"

Diana actually nodded seriously.

She looked at Logan and gave him a sad look. "My Master doesn't beat me enough. He only hits me for three days and then lets me rest for three. That's why I'm still not completely corrupted."

"That's enough, Diana! You're hopeless!" Kafka was so angry she was breathing hard.

She turned to Evelynna, her voice full of blame. "You're responsible for Diana's fall. You left her behind."

Evelynna felt the eyes around her growing more and more hostile. She looked like she was in pain, rubbing her temples and saying: "If you're so strong, beat Logan's familiar first before you start arguing with me."

After saying that, Evelynna directly opened her familiar space and pulled Kafka in.

Even though they had only signed a temporary loyalty contract, Kafka was still under Evelynna's control.

After bringing Kafka back, Evelynna walked up to Logan and said: "The drawing is done. Let's find a place to talk."

Logan sighed when he heard that. He thought to himself, women's emotional debts were the hardest to pay.

The two of them walked to the Snow Dragon District. Finally, Evelynna spoke up: "Actually, I used to hate you a lot."

Logan raised an eyebrow. "So, are you giving up now?"

Evelynna smiled and shook her head. "No, I just haven't figured out how to deal with you yet."

Logan heard that and laughed. "You took my naked photos, didn't you? Aren't you going to expose them?"

Evelynna didn't hide anything when she heard that. She pouted and said: "You're so famous now, with so many fans. Even if I posted your photos, I'd probably get torn apart by your female fans first."

Logan laughed when he heard that. "Oh, I see."

Evelynna hit Logan's chest with a fist and sighed. "Back then, I was really naive. I thought getting into the Genius Training Camp would get my grandfather's attention. But he only paid attention to me because I knew you."

She smiled bitterly. "In the end, I still ended up being just a tool for marriage."

Then, Evelynna turned around, wrapped her arms around Logan's waist, and rested her head on his chest. "Logan, marry me. Even if I'm just a marriage tool, I still want to be the most valuable one."

Being proposed to in front of her, Logan's heart pounded.

Evelynna heard his heartbeat and smiled slightly. "What? You don't want to leave your two girls in Storm Wind City and Edo Castle? If you marry me, I won't stop you from having other women outside."

Logan knew Evelynna's proposal had a purpose, but her words still shocked him a lot. "Don't you worry about having too many women? You might lose face."

Evelynna smiled. "I never worry about things I can't control, including people. You're one of them. I just take what I can get. And I don't ask for much, right?"

After hearing Evelynna's words, Logan couldn't help but feel a little moved.

This woman came to propose to him with her own goals, but she was very clear-headed.

However, Logan still didn't say yes right away. Instead, he said he needed time to think.

Evelynna gave him a look. "You really are careful, you know. Okay, wait until after the ranking match and give me an answer. Don't make me wait too long. You don't want me to marry someone else, do you?"

With that, Evelynna swayed her hips and walked away on her own.

Logan watched her leave and sighed. Then he turned to the shadows behind him and said: "Come out."

Natalia stepped forward, her heels clicking as she appeared behind him. She smiled. "I was just about to praise you for resisting the temptation of beauty, but I guess you already knew I was here."

Logan shrugged. "I just didn't understand her real plan. I didn't want to fall into her trap too easily."

Natalia looked at him and pinched his waist. "You really are tricky."

She sighed. "Logan, just say yes. Do me a favor."

Logan was surprised. "You know her?"

"She's my cousin." Natalia said with a bitter smile. "I used to be part of the Corleone family."

Logan's eyes widened. "Then why are you okay with me marrying her?"

Natalia rolled her eyes. "You slept with her and played around with her. Now you want to back out?"

She softened her tone. "She's respected by the old man now, all because of you and her connection to you. Don't think he doesn't know about you sleeping with her. That night of the civil war, the two of you were in the train car. Did you really think no one saw?"

Logan scratched his head after being caught. "If I don't marry her, what happens to her?"

Natalia sighed and muttered: "The old man would arrange her to marry someone else from another family. That's the fate of a girl in a big family. Unless she's as strong as I am and can cut ties with the family."

Logan heard the sadness in Natalia's voice. He gently patted her shoulder and nodded. "Okay, I'll do it. I'll help you with this."

"Ugh! You're getting the best of both worlds, you know. You'd better prepare well these days. Try to master that [Resonance] technique." Natalia turned around and grabbed Logan's arm, pulling him away.

"Relax. When the real match starts, I'll surprise you." Logan said with a smile, following Natalia back to Snow Dragon.

Meanwhile, while Logan and his friends were preparing for the ranking match, Alex and Holt were in the Snow Dragon council hall, getting ready for the prizes.

Holt was staring at a row of golden treasure boxes, his eyes wide. "Master Alex, didn't you say last year that the [Divine Fruit] had already been given out?"

Alex checked the red fruits inside the boxes and smiled. "I got some more. Just right for the top eight in this year's familiar ranking match."

Holt's mouth watered as he heard that the top eight would get the [Divine Fruit]. He swallowed hard and looked a little envious. "Wow, the top eight must be really lucky. One [Divine Fruit] can awaken a 'Divine Talent' or a [Divine Skill]. It's a huge boost for a familiar."
