Chapter 45: The Otsotsuki Hunter

Two days later, Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto faced off against Urashiki in the forest. The air was thick with tension as Urashiki hovered above them, his presence imposing.

"I've been wanting to meet you, Mr. Naruto Uzumaki," Urashiki said, his voice echoing through the trees.

"Is that so? I've also been patiently waiting to find a certain Otsutsuki so I can learn more about the Otsutsuki clan as a whole," a voice echoed in the forest, and Daniel came into view, sitting casually by a tree.

"It's him again," Boruto said, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Daniel!" Naruto exclaimed. "And... his eyes," he added, noticing Daniel's red hair and the golden lines around his eyes—nothing like his normal appearance.

Sasuke gasped, recognizing the transformation. Although he was prepared for the unexpected, he wasn't expecting Daniel to have the Rinnegan, and a golden one at that.

"Who would've known that the Sharingan would react this way after I awakened it thanks to Hashirama's chakra that I got from Orochimaru's Edo Tensei summons of the two past Hokage, and then the Rinnegan reacted to my Super Saiyan God Ki and turned golden," Daniel thought as he stood up, locking eyes with Urashiki.

"Those eyes... I don't remember!" Urashiki observed, his expression shifting as he looked at Daniel. Suddenly, a hateful scowl emerged on Urashiki's face. "Otsutsuki Hunter."

"Is that a nickname I got in the future? It seems in the future I'll be really busy," Daniel mused, smiling as he let loose his Super Saiyan God Ki aura.

"Woah!" Boruto marveled at Daniel's aura, his eyes wide with awe.

"Future?" Urashiki mumbled. "So you didn't follow me to the past. And with your young-looking appearance... Well, this turned into something interesting. Not only will I get the Nine-Tails, but I also get to get rid of a major future threat," Urashiki said, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent.

"Daniel! What's going on, and what's an Otsutsuki?" Naruto asked, his confusion evident.

Daniel chuckled, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Now, I simply want to play, but... I'm concerned I won't be able to restrain myself," he mused as he instantly vanished, appearing above Urashiki and kicking him down straight to the ground with incredible force.

Urashiki stood up, dusting himself off with a menacing grin. "I guess I'll have to play more seriously," he sneered, his red Rinnegan glowing as he activated its power. A portal opened behind Naruto, and with a swift motion, Urashiki launched an attack with his fishing rod.

Daniel reacted instantly, his advanced version of Instant Transmission allowing him to point his two fingers at Naruto and swipe, teleporting him away just in time. Naruto reappeared a safe distance away, bewildered but unharmed.

Sasuke, observing Daniel's swift response, called out, "Daniel, focus on the fight. I'll protect Naruto." He then turned to Boruto, urgency in his voice. "Boruto, we need to run. Stay close to me."

As they prepared to flee, Jiraiya came running toward them, confusion etched on his face. "What's going on here?" he demanded, glancing at the chaos unfolding around them.

Sasuke quickly explained, "That man is after Naruto, specifically the Nine-Tails chakra."

Jiraiya's eyes widened in shock. "How do you know that?" he asked, suspicious of Sasuke's knowledge.

"There's no time to explain," Sasuke said, dismissing Jiraiya's questions. "We need to get away while he's distracted."

Without hesitation, Jiraiya summoned a giant toad, and they all hopped on, with an astonished Naruto following along. As they rode away, Sasuke kept a watchful eye on the battlefield, ensuring they stayed out of Urashiki's reach.

Meanwhile, Daniel faced Urashiki head-on, his golden Rinnegan gleaming with determination. Urashiki snarled, launching another attack, but Daniel deftly dodged, countering with a powerful punch that sent Urashiki flying.

Urashiki recovered quickly, his expression darkening with fury. "You think you can stop me?" he hissed, summoning another portal to unleash a barrage of energy blasts.

Daniel met each attack head-on, his movements a blur of speed and precision. Using a mixture of his martial prowess, he deflected the energy blasts, then closed the distance between them. With a series of rapid strikes, he overwhelmed Urashiki, each blow landing with devastating force.

Urashiki, realizing he was outmatched, tried to create another portal to escape, but Daniel was faster. He appeared in front of Urashiki, his fist glowing with power. "This ends now," Daniel declared, delivering a final, crushing blow that shattered Urashiki's defenses and sent him crashing to the ground, defeated.

As the dust settled, Daniel looked around, ensuring no other threats remained. Urashiki was nowhere to be found—he had teleported. Daniel quickly realized this as he sensed Urashiki's chakra where Naruto and the others were. Without hesitation, he flew there in haste.

Urashiki appeared from a black portal in front of the toad. Quick reactions followed, but Urashiki evaded them with ease. "Just because I'm hurt doesn't mean I'm weak," he sneered, striking Naruto with his fishing rod. But as he pulled it out, nothing happened; it didn't extract any chakra.

Taking advantage of Urashiki's confusion, Boruto acted swiftly. He charged at Urashiki with a Rasengan, sending him crashing into the trees. Jiraiya observed the scene but remained silent. Instead, he asked, "What was that attack?"

Sasuke replied, "Normally, anyone struck by that fishing rod loses a portion of their chakra, but now it seems to have failed. I don't know why."

Jiraiya pondered, "Maybe it's because of Naruto's seal."

Urashiki, now enraged, stood up and hovered above the ground. His voice, though not loud, was filled with complete rage. "I've had enough of this!" he snarled, plucking out his eyes and eating them, followed by devouring the gourd he carried. He began to undergo a transformation.

Naruto and Boruto stood flabbergasted. At this moment, Daniel arrived and asked, "What happened?"

Sasuke replied, "We don't really know. He just went crazy and ate his eyes."

Daniel explained, "Otsutsukis are capable of undergoing a transformation into their peak forms, but they have to devour a certain amount of chakra to initiate such a transformation."

The others were shocked by Daniel's knowledge. Sasuke responded, "This is similar to when we fought Momoshiki."

Boruto, feeling a surge of weariness, glanced at his karma mark. Jiraiya, puzzled, asked, "Why does a chunin like you know so much about this? And those eyes... how come Daniel has the eyes of the Sage of Six Paths?"

Naruto, still processing everything, asked, "Eyes of the what?"

Before Daniel could answer, Urashiki's transformation was complete. He now had two golden Byakugan and a Rinnegan on his forehead. Urashiki chuckled, basking in his newfound power. Jiraiya noted something, remarking, "The same colored eyes," referring to both Daniel's and Urashiki's eyes.

Sasuke noticed this but remained silent. Daniel touched Sasuke's back and said, "I won't need it, but do what you see fit." Then he charged at Urashiki, initiating a new, more intense fight.
