Chapter 444: Territory, Territory_2

Donnie listened without showing any worry, and instead was quite happy.

After a moment of contemplation, Donnie said to Henry Dale, "Immediately send someone to the Turks and Caicos Islands to investigate the specific situation there, hmm, go to those islands with residents."

Henry Dale nodded and said, "Yes, I'll do it right away."

After Henry Dale left, Donnie called in Chris.

Although Chris had been promoted to Vice President of Venus Bank, his office was still at the headquarters of United States Logistics, which was also in the Venus Bank building.

"I've already informed Dwight about the three thousand people we've trained. Initially, I wanted him to send them to a deserted island in the Atlantic to train them, but now we have a new location."

Chris, who knew more about this plan than Dwight, asked, "Where?"

Donnie pointed to the map's location of the Turks and Caicos Islands and smiled, saying, "Here!"

"Turks and Caicos Islands!" Chris pondered for a moment, then said, "There are indeed a few uninhabited islands here, but that's just the official story. In reality, I know many pirate organizations have taken control of these islands, ruling over them, and Jamaica simply doesn't have the capacity to manage them.

But we are different from these pirates. They simply use these islands as bases, while we want to develop various weapons, and the commotion caused will certainly alarm the people on the islands with residents. If so, it will be difficult to maintain secrecy!"

Donnie waved his hand and said, "I've already thought about the arrangement for these residents. In recent years, Atlantic City has been developing better and better, and the demand for workers is increasing. By then, we can relocate these people to Atlantic City!"

Chris said in surprise, "But that's more than twenty thousand residents, and I think some of them might be unwilling to move, after all, some people want to live in their hometown!"

Donnie sat there, smiling, and said, "Didn't you say before that there are many pirates in the Turks and Caicos Islands?"

Chris suddenly understood Donnie's meaning; Donnie wanted to turn the Turks and Caicos Islands into Venus Bank's private territory!

"There's another problem!"

Donnie said, "Tell me."

"If we take such actions, it will certainly alarm the Jamaican government, and by then it might even bring out the United Kingdom, since Jamaica is now a British colony!"

Donnie pondered for a moment and then said, "Contact Randy Powers and have him inquire about the UK's attitude towards the Turks and Caicos Islands. If this place isn't very important to the UK, then directly contact the Jamaican government to explore the possibility of purchasing the Turks and Caicos Islands!"

Chris shook his head and said, "It's still very difficult. If the Jamaican government wants to sell the Turks and Caicos Islands, their indigenous people certainly won't agree to it.

Moreover, the British Salt Company that remains there is owned by old British aristocrats. They may not have enough financial resources, but they still have influence in the UK!

They certainly won't agree to this either!"

Donnie was naturally aware that this wouldn't be easy, so he discussed with Chris for a long time and finally set down the steps to take over the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The first step is Dwight Savile's unchanged actions, leading three thousand retired veterans to first select an uninhabited island to land on. If there are pirates, they'll serve as sharpening stones for the three thousand soldiers.

The second step is that while the first plan is being carried out, Chris will send people to the populated islands to recruit them to enter Atlantic City, United States.

For the whole of New Jersey, it's still manageable to absorb these twenty thousand indigenous people. As for their identity issues, that's not a big deal for Donnie.

If some are unwilling to come to Atlantic City, that's fine, we can leave them for later.

The third step is having Randy Powers inquire in the UK about the UK's attitude towards the Turks and Caicos Islands. On this point, Donnie believes there shouldn't be a big issue. Though the geographical position is somewhat important, it's not that useful to the UK; the real value lies in turning the area into a tax haven later.

The fourth step is to send someone to contact the Jamaican government. Nominally, the Turks and Caicos Islands belong to Jamaica. Donnie needs to have an official management authority over the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The fifth step is for Donnie to contact the White House because if the White House exerts pressure from the political level, the Jamaican government will be more easily persuaded.

These steps are not necessarily sequential; they are carried out simultaneously.

After confirming these matters, Chris went off to handle the specifics.

Donnie pondered for a moment and then dialed Fei Jackson's phone number.

The moment the call connected, Donnie could hear a chaotic variety of sounds from Fei Jackson's side.

It was clear they were engaged in various discussions to ensure Herbert Hoover could secure the presidency.

"Boss, how do you have time to make a call?"

Donnie laughed and said, "I'd like to meet with Herbert Hoover, can you arrange that for me?"

Fei Jackson was stunned for a moment. After Herbert Hoover announced his candidacy, his boss had rarely met with Herbert Hoover, to avoid being attacked by the Democratic Party.
