Alpha’s Obsession, Luna’s Revenge:

My mate Allison is a true nationalist. I fear him as I have seen him terrorizing the traitors.

He doesn't share the state secrets with me and I don't mind or insist he share everything with me. I believe he can do no wrong in the matters of state.

He was very close to the state administration earlier but over the last five years especially after Donnell's marriage with Selene, he was thrown out of the inner precincts of the state administration.

As an ordinary police inspector, Allison could not serve the state at his full capacity as he always wanted to do.

After he was shunted out of the inner circle of the state, he felt so disappointed that he began sharing his pain with me.

He is a true patriot. He told me stories, the intriguing stories going on in the royal palace. One of these stories was doing its rounds everywhere. Many believed it to be a piece of rumor. He told me that Luna Selene was planning something big. She had already immobilized the Great Alpha King William Wolf.

I had full faith in each word he spoke and I could not think he could be lying. I had come to believe Luna Selene was evil. And why wouldn't I? She is the daughter of our enemy king. She might have schemed against the state.

After meeting the real Luna Selene in flesh and blood, I am struggling with self-doubt. Luna Selene appears to be a gem. She has promised to help our son Ketto. We had given up hope but our Goddess Luna heard our prayers and sent her angel Luna to help us.

I was wondering whether it was the right time to break this news to our mate. I wanted to hear him first before breaking this good news.

I was extremely delighted when Luna Selene, our Queen promised to help with the best medical facility for our son Ketto. I am reiterating it again and again because it is the greatest happiness of my life.

It is the best thing that could have happened to me and my mate.

As I entered the cell to meet my mate, I was not at all bothered by his condition or the way he had been treated. It is not surprising.

If you are sad for a reason and happy at the same time for some other reason, then you would be ultimately sad or happy depending on the quantum of the two. If the happiness overwhelms the reason for sadness, then you are eventually happy. I was eventually happy.

My mate did not like happiness plastered on my face. He was expecting me to cry for his fate.

He looked at me suspiciously.

"Oh, I see, you have been enjoying your life!" he said sarcastically.

I did not react immediately. I wanted to commiserate with him and feel his pain and sadness.

"Oh, how badly they have mistreated you!" I remarked in a solemn voice full of sadness.

I began touching his body and the pain points.

I wanted to make him feel good. So, I slowly slid my hand over his pants. I wanted to feel his part inside his pants. I could feel it hardening.

He was, I guess, enjoying it but he was also feeling embarrassed at the same time.

He brushed my hand politely to push it away.

I looked into his eyes and smiled. He looked at me mysteriously trying to read me.

This was his habit. He was used to being so involved in the state tasks that he could never think straight. He thought there must be some reason beyond the apparent reason for something.

"What makes you so happy," he eventually asked me directly.

"Why shouldn't I be? If I tell you the reason, you too will feel the same," I said

He looked at me questioningly. His eyes were curious.

"Her Highness Queen Selene has made me a promise, you won't believe," he said.

His eyes squinted in disbelief.

It was his trait. Anything surprising or happy made him evaluate everything suspiciously.

It did not hold me from speaking the truth even if it was too good to believe.

"Queen Luna Selene has promised me that Ketto's medical treatment will be her responsibility and that he will recover."

"Bribe! Don't you understand you bitch?" My mate hissed in anger.

I didn't like it but I did not want to provoke a new confrontation.

I wanted to assuage him, for which I thought any credible reason could justify my action and pacify my mate.

"Do you think I am a fool?" I said, "I know it is a kind of bribe. But what's the harm, if I not only take this bribe gratefully and continue with doing what is your or my duty?"

"What do you mean?" he asked squinting his eyes.

"I mean, you continue your allegiance to Alpha King William Wolf. I will make her believe that we are on her side," I whispered taking care that no one hears our conversation.

Queen Selene had promised that she would not hear our conversation but I could not trust her.

My mate Allison appeared pacified now.

It was enough that he was pacified but I was not sure whether Queen Luna Selene would release him. She would not believe that Allison had a sudden change of heart

For the queen, Allison would be a huge risk, if he was released.

I had to convince her that Allison had not only agreed to her offer but also transferred his loyalty to her.

I thought just in case, she overheard our conversation, it would be impossible to make her believe that we were loyal to her.

And then I decided to make a counter offer to her that would be impossible for her to refuse.

I was planning to hand Ketto to her custody on the condition that I, and my mate would be released.

With Ketto's custody to her, she could trust us that we would not do anything to harm her. Moreover, my mate would also be forced to work in her favour as I had originally planned.

As it is, I had already shifted my allegiance to the Queen but Allison hadn't. If I had directly told Allison to shift his allegiance to Queen, he would have begun quarreling with me. Now, I think it would be impossible for him to go against the Queen.

When I came out of the cell, the Queen was busy discussing some plans with Rita. She did not have time for me.

She asked me to wait till she came back while we were left wondering about what secret mission had, she left the Police Station with Rita, her ADC, and a handful of officers.

There were a handful of cops vigilant against us. I decided to wait till she came back.

When she came back, a surprise awaited us…
