Alpha’s Obsession, Luna’s Revenge:

Chapter 2: 2: Who is Your Alpha Lord Regent?

"Can I make a call, please? And why have you frisked my phone?" I shouted banging the table.

"Madam," said one of the officers there.

"Shut up!" I slammed loudly, "Speak with respect. I am not just any omega female whom you are addressing as 'madam'. I am a Luna. I am your queen. Address me properly."

The officer felt so intimidated that he stepped back with his bowed head.

A lady officer stepped forward to deal with me.

"Your Highness!" she said bowing her head, "can I say something with your permission?"

I liked that. The lady was treating me well.

"Yes please," I said.

"We have confiscated your phone on the orders of Lord William Wolf. There are strict instructions not to give you any communication device under any circumstance."

The information I received just now was like a thunderbolt to me. I was awestruck.

I could immediately see the larger design of my enemies. They had planned to permanently confine me to the deep dungeons.

I knew they had no evidence against me but they were instructed to not only arrest me but also to probably eliminate me or confine me to the dark cell forever.

I could not let that happen.

I knew they were deliberately addressing me as any ordinary omega female.

I had to break their morale and confidence first.

I held the lady officer by her collar and pulled her as close to me as I could, looking straight into her eyes with hate and vengeance: "Will you take the orders of any old buffoon? Who is your Alpha, don't you know? And don't forget I am his legally wedded wife, Luna Selene," I thundered as I pushed the officer hard. She lost her balance and struck against the rear wall, as she fell on the floor.

My action had a sobering effect on a handful of officers.

"Who is your Alpha Lord? I shouted louder than usual expecting them to answer in unison.

For a moment they were dumb in silence when I thumped the table shouting "Speak?"

"Lord Mark Donnell," they shouted in unison.

I repeated my question thrice loudly, each time changing just an expression – Alpha Lord, the first time, King of the pack, the second time, and Lord Regent, the third time.

Each time they shouted "Lord Mark Donnell" in unison.

I had unconsciously learned the great art of oratory from my father Alphas Darius, the great Lord of the Southern Territory.

He was a great orator, a brave Alpha of the pack, who had brought me up like a son. I was the best in his kingdom in Archery, Pistol shooting, and horse riding.

I also learned the finer skills in covert operations. I had learned a large number of other skills that I thought had made me nearly invincible.

It was the right time for me to use my skills to my advantage.

My dad once told me, "Oratory is a skill that can turn the tables to your side."

I had seen him ending his speeches with three times repetitions as I had just done.

The cops were now all ears, wanting to hear me. I had successfully connected with them.

"Thank you, officers," I said as they repeated "Mark Donnell" thrice.

"I am extremely delighted to note your loyalty. You all deserve a salary hike and promotions for being such a loyal pack."

All of them felt jubilant and expressed their happiness by applauding.

"This is a promise of your Queen Regent Luna," I said, "and for the lack of an official stamp I sign the decree in blood, here." I quickly wrote the order as I punctured my thumb with the sharp tip of the pen and stamped the order in blood.

The officers applauded again, this time louder and more cheerfully.

I knew I had to ward off the immediate threat that was Inspector Allison.

"Who among you is the next officer in seniority after Allison? I asked politely.

An officer stepped forward.

"What's your name, officer?"

"Jackson, Your Highness," the officer said with his head bowed down obediently.

"From now on, you are Inspector Jackson," I said in a commanding voice.

"The official order in an official letter will follow soon," I said, "and not just for Jackson but for everyone here as soon as I can."

"Listen to me carefully, " I said trying to attract their attention, "and this is serious. I have been treated in the most undignified manner by one of your officers."

All eyes were focused on me and all ears opened wide to listen to my command attentively.

"This disrespect cannot be condoned. It is not in my authority to pardon the egregious violations that our state defines as treachery."

There was a pin-drop silence now.

"I command you, Officer Jackson, to arrest Allison as soon as he enters the police station," I thundered like I would do whenever I passed orders in front of the royal court in my capacity as Queen Regent.

There was still much confusion in my territory.

I did not have a clear idea of what was happening.

All I knew was that a horrendous murder had taken place last night in the royal palace.

No one except me knew that I had killed that bastard because he was snooping upon me.

I was truly surprised when I was physically frisked from my sleeping chamber and brought to this police station.

I was pretty much stable now. I had quickly brought the small world under my direct influence under my control.

I had staged a mini coup.

Allison entered the police station with confident strides, almost determined to take me on. Even before Allison could utter a word or threaten me, I shouted my command, "Inspector Jackson." Jackson knew what he was expected to do."

Jackson rushed, assaulted Allison in a sudden strike, immobilized him and he was eventually handcuffed.

Allison looked around in complete shock, and when he turned his face around me, I could see hatred in his eyes.

"I don't want to see this traitor's dirty face," I commanded.

The officers knew what my command meant.

They immediately brought a dark mask with barely pointed slits to let the victim breathe and covered his head and face with it.

"Throw him in the dark cell," I commanded, adding, "Inspector Jackson, none except you is empowered to interrogate Allison. Find out the list of traitors, who are behind this attack on your Queen Regent."

"And from immediate effect, I dismiss all my staff and personal bodyguards, who are not with me when I need them, and I appoint all the officers here in the direct service of Her Majesty, Queen Regent Selene."

The police station was the safest haven for me right now. I knew stepping out of this place could land me in a dangerous situation.

I thought of an idea and summoned the lady officer.
