Chapter 234: Wedding (2)
A week passed away in a jiffy, and the Cardinal Family finished visiting all the people they wanted to and handed over the invitation cards. Lily and Snow picked up their dresses from Marian's place, and then Leo had them all sent to the suites that were booked under their name.
Only one week was left for the ceremony, and the Lickey Land park happened to be the biggest amusement park in the world. They had three establishments all over the world and the price that Leo was so staggering that had he not done that, his wealth would have grown by three times at least.
The young man was sitting inside the living room, with a big cup of coffee in his hand and Lily suddenly stood up from her seat beside him and dashed into her room. The elders were all surprised and by the time they could react, the little girl had come back and she said, "Baba! I forgot to send this dress over."
Leo looked at her and then she chuckled and replied, "Honey we can take it with us."
Lily was stunned and then she said, "Oh, yeah."
The young man chuckled and then he picked up his little bundle of joy and went on to pack her stuff. Snow shook her head and said, "Can you believe these two? The flight is tonight and they still have things they want to pack."
Anastasia chuckled and said, "Someone who still needs her mother to pick out the jewelry should not call out on others."
Snow looked at her with surprised and said, "Ma, you are so mean sometimes."
...
In the evening, the couple got ready with the entire family and they all headed to the airport. Leo found Elvin and Cherry waiting for them their. Snow said, "They are travelling with us, I need a bridesmaid and you need a best man."
Lily raised her brow and turned to look at Leo as they closed in on the couple and said, "If uncle Elvin is the best man that you can find, I wonder what is the standard for worst."
Elvin caught her saying this and he placed a hand on his chest as he said, "Leo, one day, this little one would be the reason of my death."
Leo scoffed and then Snow replied, "Hey, don't go jinxing my baby."
At the same time Cherry smacked Elvin on the shoulder and said, "I have told you many times, don't say such things. Looks like Lily has the right opinion of you."
Lily nodded repeatedly and said, "Aunty Cherry, I was forced to introduce you both because I am your niece, but what was your compulsion to say yes to his pursuit?"
The elders chuckled and then they all got on the plane that flew off to the horizon.
...
After a few hours when the plane landed, The rest of the people got down first, before Leo carried Snow down from the plane with a blindfold on her eyes. The lady sighed and said, "Can you tell me what is going on? We have already landed, this should be enough for you to tell me where we are."
Leo smiled and replied, "Just a few more minutes."
June was waiting on the ground with Percie and a few other officials that were selected to play the role of managing secretaries. They all smiled at Leo, and the young man smiled at them before entering a car. Lily was already secured inside a baby seat. Zeenat knew her task well.
Leo then patted Kyle on the shoulder and said, "Get going, Kyle."
Kyle nodded and put the car into ignition and they drove away. After a few minutes, Leo said, "We are here, come on out."
He held Snow's hand and guided her out of the car gently. He made sure that her head doesn't bump before he helped her stand up straight and then he undid the blindfold as he said, "Now open your eyes slowly."
Snow wanted to roll her eyes, but even for that she had to open her eyes first. The lady opened her eyes slowly and she was shocked. Before her stood a huge castle that looked like something straight out of a fairy tale. It was the night time, but the whole place was lit up like its day.
Leo then looked at June and winked, who picked up her walkie talkie and gave some instruction. Leo picked up Lily in his arms and asked the two people, "Do you like it?"
Snow and Lily both ogled at the castle and said, "This is the best."
Leo almost threw his head over to laugh when suddenly the dark sky was lit up with firecrackers as well. The whole place was filled with streaks of sparks flying up and then exploding in a burst of colorful light. The whole show lasted for seven minutes, before Leo said, "Well, let the wedding begin."
June said, "Sir, we have prepared a surprise for you all as well."
Leo was surprised and then he saw ten dozen little girls rushing over from both sides. They were all dressed like princesses, similar to Lily. The young lady said, "Baba, put me down."
Leo did as he was told and then he saw all the little girls hold a flower basket each as they scattered the petals all around the place while singing some rhymes. This time Leo was surprised, and so were all the adults. Snow felt emotional as she grabbed Leo's arm and said, "This is the best."
Leo replied to her softly, "The best is yet to come my love. Let's go in."
...
The couple moved inside the park, and while Leo was shocked how empty the park seemed. He turned to look at Percie and asked, "Are we this short staffed?"
Percie was taken aback and then she chuckled as she explained, "Sir, we needed people to handle work at him, so while their children are all here, the elders have decided to take care of each other's kids and then they will swap duties. Work can't stop or the money we spent here would never be recovered."
Leo nodded and said, "That's smart of you."
Then he went inside to enjoy the park with his family. The whole charade lasted for five days before finally it was the wedding day. They had selected the noon as a time of their wedding, and everything was ready. In Leo's family tradition, The groom wore a white jacket for his wedding tuxedo.
His jacket had the beautiful lily flowers embroidered with silk thread and he had the family sigil engraved on his cufflinks. Beside him Elvin stood wearing his beige tuxedo and he asked, "Bro, you sure you don't want flower on that lapel of yours? It looks rather desolate if you ask me."
Leo thought and said, "Lily said that I look more handsome this way."
Elvin rolled his eyes and said, "She have your wrapped around her little finger, and you know it."
Leo smiled, he didn't deny it, after all, truth never could be hidden. Elvin helped him check the attire one last time, and then the door was knocked. One of the staff members on the premise said, "Sir, they are calling you."
Leo took a deep breath and then he looked at the little boy on the side. He was also dressed in a beige suit, and Leo asked, "Krish, do you have the ring in a secure position?"
Krish smiled and replied, "It is safe here, Sir."
Then he reached inside the pocket of his coat and retrieved a small box. Elvin walked over and helped him tuck the box back in again, making sure that it is safe. Elvin held Krish's hand and said, "I have to say, Rama sure has a smart kid."
Krish was Rama Kashyap's son, and he was the ring bearer. Leo nodded in agreement before he stopped himself from patting the boy, because the latter was particular of his hairstyle.
The trio walked out of the room, and walked down the aisle where the guests showered them with flower petals, and then Leo stood before the Priest on the altar.
The priest smiled and him and said loudly, "May the Bride, please step up to the altar."
The wedding was held in the open, the orchestra began to play a soft song, as Anastasia walked out from the other room, holding hands of Snow, who was dressed in the custom made dress designed by Marian Grisha. The corset was embroidered with Lily flowers, and the spine was embedded with all the precious stones that Leo had gotten. The gown was the same, and it looked like a masterpiece.
The most surprising thing was a furry mane that rested on one of Snow's shoulders. Her face was covered with a thin silk veil. In front of her Lily dressed in a matching frock dress danced and scattered flowers while she skipped towards the altar.
Leo took a deep breath with his gaze locked to Snow. Before he knew they were standing across each other. Leo only saw the priest move his lips from the corner of his eyes. Before the couple exchanged vows.
