Chapter 31: Magic awakening

As dawn broke, it was finally time to head to the mage academy anticipation hung heavy in the air mostly for Kipkemboi as this was his dream world to isekai on . Kit Mi Kai, Olamsuri, Jajwok, and Kipkemboi, all impeccably dressed in the royal attire provided by the king, waited eagerly. This was the day they would finally enter the Mage Academy.

A lavish chariot awaited, with the second prince himself serving as their escort. His royal attire gleamed under the sunlight, exuding an air of authority and confidence. The four boarded the chariot, marveling at the smooth velvet seats and intricate woodwork inlaid with gemstones.

As they set off, the second prince leaned forward, curiosity lighting up his eyes. "So, tell me, what is your world like? I have been so curious since you arrived but i haven't had the time to have a proper conversation "

Kipkemboi, seated closest, chuckled. "Our world? Well, our world has beautiful animals and vibrant cultures but mostly full of danger , it is not as developed as yours and the source of our powers is mostly evil energy no one knows the why but we know that the source is an evil forest ,it even translates our languages for us.

The prince looked astounded. "I would love to visit your world some day if ever that was possible , is that possible? I am sure that would involve dark magic so it's near impossible."

Kit Mi Kai, grinning, responded, "Yah you would die in one day hahahaha"

As they continued exchanging stories, the grand Mage Academy emerged in the distance, its towering spires visible even from afar. The academy was a magnificent blend of classical architecture and ethereal design. Intricate patterns of gold and silver veined the tall marble towers, shimmering as if imbued with their own magic.

The walls seemed to pulse slightly, almost as if alive, reacting to the magical aura of those who neared it.

Once they arrived at the entrance grounds, hundreds of other students, all dressed in the academy's uniform of navy blue robes trimmed with silver, gathered, chattering in nervous anticipation. Most students wore enchanted amulets or rings, accessories marking their family lineage or personal achievements.

The Entrance Exam and Affinity Test

The entrance exam was simple yet nerve-wracking: each student would place their hand on a glowing orb to measure their magical affinity. Above the orb, a display would show a color and a ranking according to their affinity:

Red: Fire

Blue: Water

Green: Earth

Yellow: Lightning

White: Light

Black: Dark

Purple: Creation Magic

And beneath the color, the stars appeared, indicating their power level:

Bronze Stars: Novice

Silver Stars: Intermediate

Gold Stars: Advanced

Diamond Stars: Elite

One by one, the students went up. Some whispered in awe as a few displayed three silver stars—an impressive feat for an incoming student.

Finally, it was their turn. Kit Mi Kai went first. He stepped forward, placed his hand on the orb, and watched as it glowed a vibrant green, showing his affinity for Earth. Beneath the color, three gold stars shimmered, leaving nearby students gaping. Whispers rippled through the crowd.

Next, Olamsuri approached. She placed her hand on the orb, which glowed an intense blue, representing her affinity for Water. Again, three gold stars appeared. Even the proctor raised an eyebrow, visibly impressed.

Then came Jajwok, who, without hesitation, pressed his hand against the orb. A flash of yellow indicated his Lightning affinity, followed by the same three gold stars.

Finally, Kipkemboi took his turn. The orb glowed a powerful red, signaling a strong Fire affinity, accompanied, like the others, by three gold stars. The crowd buzzed with astonishment as all four received top rankings.

As they were led to Class A, reserved for students of exceptional promise, they couldn't help but notice the grandeur of the academy's hallways. The floors were marble, the walls were lined with magical scrolls, and floating orbs of light lit their way. Portraits of renowned mages, their eyes moving slightly, watched over them as they entered their new classroom.

Inside Class A: A Lesson with Professor Solion

The class was filled with a mix of students—some royalty, others commoners with remarkable magical prowess—all dressed in variations of the academy's uniform. Some students had amulets, others carried spellbooks, and a few had magical staves that hovered just above their hands, indicating their prowess in controlling objects.

Their professor, Solion, was a middle-aged mage with long blue hair tied back in a neat ponytail. His robes, trimmed with gold, radiated authority. He stepped forward, greeting the class with a calm smile.

"Welcome, young mages, to your first day. Here, you'll learn not only to wield magic but to understand it, respect it, and, ultimately, transcend its limits." His eyes glinted as he spoke, holding the attention of every student.

Professor Solion raised his hands, conjuring a small spark of magic that shifted colors—from red to blue to yellow and beyond. "Magic, as you know, isn't limited to elements. It is an extension of your soul, of your intentions. Fire magic, for example, does more than just burn. With mastery, it can become an extension of your will—a beacon, a weapon, even a shield."

As he spoke, he demonstrated, transforming the spark into a roaring flame that settled into a delicate flower. The students watched, entranced.

He gestured toward Jajwok. "Young man, you have an affinity for lightning, yes?"

Jajwok nodded, slightly taken aback.

"Did you know that with lightning magic, you can not only call down thunder but create portals?" With a flick of his wrist, he demonstrated by creating a miniature portal that sizzled with electricity. "This is called 'Lightning Drift,' allowing a mage to teleport short distances by bending space with electrical currents."

Jajwok's eyes widened with excitement, his mind racing with possibilities.

Professor Solion then focused on Kit Mi Kai. "Earth mages like yourself aren't limited to moving rocks or creating walls. Advanced earth manipulation grants the ability to reshape landscapes, even tap into seismic energy." He gestured toward the ground, and a small tremor rumbled beneath Kit's feet. "You are, quite literally, connected to the earth itself."

Kit Mi Kai, visibly intrigued, tightened his fists, feeling a newfound respect for his power.

"I know you are wondering how is it I am able to use all this magic, this bracelet is called almorand it is used to replicate other magic but the others will not be as powerful as your original affinity their are more tools like this which are used in weapons.

This allows weapons to have their own magical affinity in our next class each of you will choose a weapon or if you already have a weapon it will be upgraded. Their will be a guest that will take you through the process a dwarf they specify as iron smiths and their craft is the best in this continent."

The professor then turned to Olamsuri. "Water isn't just for healing or offense. With mastery, you can control its temperature, turning water into ice or steam with a thought. You may even summon rain or mist to obscure your enemies' vision."

Olamsuri nodded, already envisioning creative uses for her power.

Lastly, he turned to Kipkemboi. "Fire, powerful and untamed. A skilled fire mage can regulate heat, create armor, and even wield flames that can sear the fabric of reality itself."

As the lecture continued, Professor Solion's explanations grew more fascinating. The topic shifted to dark and creation magic. With a mischievous glint, he looked at Jajwok's bald head, saying, "For example, creation magic can be used for more... creative applications."

With a wave of his hand, he muttered a few words, and hair sprouted on Jajwok's head, flowing into a stylish mane. The class burst into laughter.

Olamsuri snickered. "You look much better like that, Jajwok."

Jajwok grinned, smoothing his new hair. "Well then, I guess I'll keep it."

Professor Solion smiled, moving toward Olamsuri. "Shall we try something similar?"

She raised a hand, smirking. "I'll keep my hair just as it is, thank you."

"Woow I can't believe this I never knew I could use fire magic or maybe it changed since I entered this world , and Olamsuri too Water this is so cool I wonder what More we can do in this world. The skill I got from the Slime King is also cool it allows me to fully miss extreme attacks by turning into jelly for five seconds and the cool down is three minutes."

"Hey kipkemboi what are you thinking of you seem to be lost in thought," asked Kit mi kai.

"Am just amazed by this world it's like an holiday from all the trauma back in our world." Replied haruto looking at the sky.

As the class ended, they left feeling inspired, the teachings of Professor Solion igniting new possibilities within each of them. With their new uniforms, new friends, and newfound understanding, they couldn't wait to see what the Mage Academy held for them next.
