I am a new news reporter.

I had always dreamed of having a great scoop… like my father had… Like he had previously covered the happenings within Orario 7 to 5 years ago, most notably the Evilus group… He was now dead by the hands of the same group he had covered….

I also wanted a scoop so great that it will bring my name to prominence… scoops that would make my name be charted on the annals of history.

I wish to have this scoop… but… I need a worthy scoop…

So where will I find this scoop, you ask? Well… I'll be finding it. I didn't find it yet… but I will definitely find it.

I would dedicate my whole life just to get the best scoop… Like a chocolate chip icecream that kids are ready to die for.

A scoop so good that people would gather around and attempt to have a taste of it…

I want that scoop….

And… here I am… down in the dungeon…. Attempting to find any worthy scoop…

A man was going down the stairs from the 10th floor to the 11th floor…

This was the reporter whose POV we had known earlier…

Yes, he was still currently finding any scoop that the public would want to have a taste of… He found some news lately…

The so-called 'Ser' that was in the rumors nowadays… He found out that this same person is also the person known as the 'Staircase Dweller'... 

He wanted to have an interview with the person himself but… He went through the stairs from the 1st to 10th floor but… he still hasn't found him yet. 

After a while, he heard shouts… 

A female?

So he immediately went down.

There… he saw the scoop that he would be ready to die for…

A female cat woman was shouting while slamming her fists towards the semi-opaque screen of energy…

In the middle of his sight, a lone human was being towered by the opposing Monster…

It was a minotaur…. But not just a minotaur… it notably had the hands and feet of Ligerfang… 

It seems to be… a combination between a minotaur and a ligerfang….

Yes… he was correct. It was a combination of a Minotaur and a Ligerfang…

How did it combine? He has no idea…. What he opted to do was to report it…. To report on the abomination's description… its looks… its danger level… its… everything…

…. and who knows? Maybe…. Just maybe… the person opposing this abomination… would kill it… like a hero from the legends… opposing any abominations in Genkai…

Another Bell? No. Definitely no… This… will definitely… maybe… be greater than Bell…

And so he grabbed his camera from his bag. He also grabbed his microphone, and readied himself.

The camera man grabbed his camera with his left hand, and his microphone was in his right hand. He then faced the camera's lens towards him.

He sent a message about his own situation towards the news agency for permission to stream ASAP, and thankfully, he was granted permission immediately.

He lightly coughed to remove his nervousness and shakiness.

He then turned on his camera, and pointed it towards him.

Immediately, the display for all of the television within Orario was changed to his face. Furthermore, many notifications were sent to the adventurers' phone down to the 18th floor. 

"Good afternoon everyone, this is Roy Shieve from Pheme's News Agency, and we are now here in the dungeon. As you can see in my background…."

As soon as notifications were sent through the adventurer's phones up to the 18th floor, they knew that it was a noteworthy scoop. So almost every adventurer opened their phones. 

One particular group of adventurers saw the news and listened to it.

"Hey! Our phones had just been notified!"

A nonchalant girl was walking through the ground that was littered with corpses from monsters they had killed. 

She has both of her hands at the back of her head, with one grabbing a double bladed, double sided sword….. It was Urga.

Yes, this person is Tiona.

Around her are the other Loki Familia adventurers, while Hephaestus Familia adventurers were at the back, following them.

Tiona opened her phone and watched the news.

"Good afternoon everyone, this is Roy Shieve from Pheme's News Agency, and we are now here in the dungeon. As you can see in my background there is a new kind of monster in the dungeon…. What's worth knowing is… it seems to be a combination between a minotaur and a ligerfang…."

"Sadly, numerous adventurers had died on its hands as evident by the number of corpses around it… However! It was currently being faced by an adventurer! This adventurer was known as the 'Ser' that the rumors are all about. He is also known as the Staircase Dweller in some cases…. However, as far as I know, he is a level 1…. I wonder how he will do this."

"Anyways, for now, I would like to suggest any adventurers that are level 1 and 2 to refrain from going near the staircase going to the 11th floor. Again, this is Roy Sheive from Pheme's News Agency, and I would be exclusively covering this story."

"Wait…. Isn't this our newbie???!"

Finn, the Loki Familia's captain, had also tuned in on the news.

"Yes… it is him…"

Knowing that their newbie is in danger, Finn commanded his familia.

"Everyone! The executive members would first go towards the 11th floor! The others! Lead the Hephaestus Familia's safety!"

""Yes Captain!!!""

"Alright, let's go."

Finn and the other executive members, mainly Riveria, Gareth, Ais, Tione, Tiona, Lefiya, and Bete, were running through the maze known as the dungeon.

After a while, they had reached their destination. 

In front of them was a semi-opaque wall of energy… and in the middle of it… was their newbie, Bjorn.

Finn immediately knew what to do.

"Riveria! Lefiya! Analyze this wall now! The others! Attack this wall with whatever you can!"

Immediately, sounds of boom resounded throughout the dungeon. 

All the physical hitters, Bete, Ais, Finn, Gareth, Tione, and Tiona, immediately attacked the wall.

However… no matter how hard they hit… it stays unblemished.

"SHIT!"

Tione attacked the wall of energy again with her Urga.

"Stop. Clearly, no matter what we do… it will stay intact. We can only leave it to the two mages to analyze the wall…. Riveria, Lefitya, any updates?"

Finn stopped the heavy hitters first to ask the mages on anything they found out.

"Captain…. We have nothing… We can't analyze it… It would probably take too long… but what we just found out is that this wall… it's…. it's….."

Riveria continued what Lefiya was saying.

"It's Falna."

All of the people in the group looked at Riveria.

"Yes. I am sure of it… it feels like Falna. It smells like Falna. It even looks like Falna…. We can't do anything about this. We need a God's or a Goddess's help…."

Everyone looked at the newbie of their familia that was inside of the dome…. They can only hope that he will leave out of there…. Alive.

Back to the inside of the dome.

Bjorn had seen his familia's executives outside of the dome but… he couldn't hear what they were saying.

Instead of focusing on them, he returned his sole focus on the sole monster in front of him.

He deduced that it was a combination between a minotaur and a ligerfang… So his wariness was at height.

His hands were ready for any action the monster would take…. And it took its first action.

The monster immediately appeared in front of Bjorn.

Its hands were now raised, ready to swipe towards Bjorn… and it swept towards Bjorn's left side.

Bjorn immediately raised his sword to slash towards the enemy's claws to counter it… and immediately, a resounding metal screech was heard.

Shivers were sent towards Bjorn's feet. He was shaking…. It was a hard hit, and his sword bounced back.

Without waiting for Bjorn, the monster immediately slashed its left claws, towards Bjorn's right side.

Without further ado, Bjorn ducked. The claws went past his head.

While ducked, Bjorn immediately spun backward, his left foot as a pivot, while his right foot circled around him. 

He also raised his sword to slash.

[Burst]

Mind filled his sword. He then slashed it leftwards.

The monster, feeling the intense mind filling his enemy's sword, decided to face it. It swiped its right hand towards the blade.

Another resounding metal sound was heard. Again, Bjorn's sword bounced back.

He was surprised…. Normally, enemies would just be slashed but… this… neither a scratch… nor a wound appeared on the monster's claws/hands.

Bjorn stepped his right foot back, he then spun backward, using his same right foot as the pivot, his left foot forward, and slashed again.

[Burst]

This time, Bjorn's sword went rightward. He aimed it towards the enemy's neck but… again… the monster's claws blocked it.

Bjorn spun the other way, moving his left foot backward and using it as the pivot, he stepped his right foot backwards, and slashing it again… this time, his target was the monster's legs.

[Burst]

Bjorn's mind-filled sword went towards the enemy's legs leftward, however…. The monster jumped.

Bjorn's sword slashed air… slashed nothing… 

He was surprised… but he knew an attack was coming, so he decided to Burst backward.

[Bur-

His casting was stopped….

The enemy… was too fast.

The monster kicked Bjorn while it was still in the air.

Luckily, Bjorn had managed to block it. 

Bjorn laid his sword on his upper right arm, so the sword would have something to hold on to…

However, Bjorn's sword has a small crack on it…

Bjorn was pushed back so much... his feet left a trail on the ground...

Bjorn's upper arm is also hurting like crazy… However, he does not want to show it outwardly… so he gritted his teeth inwardly…

The monster then muttered something which surprised Bjorn.

"Found...… Timing...…"
