Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World

Chapter 151: Young Master Mode

Yu Xuan placed his hand on the divination crystal. Instead of glowing or swirling with mystic colors… it simply turned pitch black.

The golden haired man froze.

His pupils shrank.

For a split second, he thought the lights in the crystal ball had just died on him. Beads of sweat rolled down his temple. Then, forcing a grave expression, he leaned forward and intoned dramatically, "...Your future will be dark."

"Yeah, no kidding, I see that." Yu Xuan said flatly, staring at the dead crystal. His tone was somewhere between unimpressed and "I want a refund."

Disappointed, he pulled his hand back, turned on his heel, and headed for the exit without another word.

The golden haired diviner watched his back retreat, silently praying the customer wouldn't start spreading nasty rumors. One whisper in this area and he'd be forced to pack up shop and relocate — in this area of business, reputation mattered the most.

Sighing, he turned back to welcome the next customer, though a question still nagged at him.

'Why couldn't I read his palm at all?'

With a shrug, he pushed the thought aside. Some things were better left ignored — especially when your business sometimes relied on pretending you had all the answers.

***

Disappointed by the useless divination, Yu Xuan headed straight for the teleportation transfer point.

The hub was far busier than the smaller ones he'd seen before — disciples moved briskly, inscriptions flared with light, and formations hummed with energy.

To his surprise, an Elder was seated casually on a plain chair near the front, overseeing everything. He had a long black beard (not the usual white of elderly cultivators) middle-aged features framed by dark hair.

Despite his unassuming seat, the disciples around him worked with stiff backs and full concentration.

Yu Xuan knew better than to stroll straight into the formation — this was an inter-peak transfer, and protocol was stricter. Even though he was in the Central Area, a strict process is followed.

His destination was no ordinary place either: the main peak of the Chaos Heaven Peak, where his sister was staying.

She'd told him she'd been accepted as a disciple by an old woman there.

Yu Xuan hoped and prayed, that the woman was a powerful elder. After all, who would ever refuse a little extra backing?

Taking a breath, Yu Xuan activated his full Young Master Mode™.

Instantly, his charisma spiked, his presence sharpened, his posture became imperious, and a faint air of mystery seemed to radiate from him.

A few heads turned. Whispers stirred. Some disciples nudged each other, eyes bright with expectation.

"Something's happening…"

"Are we about to witness a show?"

"Fun is always Welcomed...!"

Indeed, several disciples were already rubbing their hands, waiting for some drama.

Yu Xuan smirked inwardly.

'Here it comes… someone's going to jump out and yell, "How dare you disturb the Elder!"'

He was a little excited, and swore to become a example for all Young Masters present in the Universe.

And right on cue, someone stepped forward.

It was a female disciple with short, spiky hair and three eyes?

'Ah, even better! A unique person. The heavens are really setting the stage for me today.' he thought.

"Halt. May I enquire why you are approaching the Elder?" she asked, surprisingly polite.

Yu Xuan almost lost his composure.

Polite? Where's the arrogance? Where's the "You dare breathe in front of the Elder?" speech?

Senior sister, you're ruining my script here! He had the urge to yell that, but being in Young Master mode, he controlled his urge.

Still, he kept his young master aura strong.

"Senior sister, I wish to travel between peaks. It's urgent, so I thought it best to explain to the Elder directly."

The disciple hesitated, clearly wanting to scold him, but before she could finish her thought, a calm voice sounded directly in their minds.

Let him through.

The three-eyed disciple froze like a statue, then bowed slightly and said in an even more polite tone, "This way, please."

Yu Xuan followed, chin slightly raised, thinking, 'Mm. As expected of this young master.'

Before long, he stood before the Elder, who appeared completely absorbed in a book. Yu Xuan's sharp eyes caught the title.

"A Hundred Ways to Impress a Senior."

Yu Xuan almost coughed aloud.

'But… Elder, aren't you a senior yourself? Then wouldn't your senior be… a super senior by now? Shouldn't the book be renamed?'

Yu Xuan always had these thoughts. Even if people are super ancient, the word "Senior" is used, even if they are some what stronger that you "Senior" is used, by now shouldn't there be a new word for these old dudes and Grannies.

He even wanted to invent words. He took this as his special hobby after naming the white fox with nine tales, at his home as "Xiaohu Celestine Amane Von Yu", without knowing it's gender. He was a child, at that time.

Before he could spiral into renaming ideas, a deep voice echoed in his mind, calm and steady.

You are impatient, young one. And new as well.

The Elder hadn't moved his lips, but Yu Xuan heard him clearly.

At once, he noticed something peculiar, every curious gaze that had been following him was now gone. He was a perceptive one. And no one dared linger once an Elder became involved.

"Elder," Yu Xuan began with utmost seriousness, "I want to visit my sister. If I take too long, she'll beat me."

A low chuckle rolled through his mind.

Haha, what a pure reason.

Then, the Elder's tone was kind and echoed in his mind.

But you know there are protocols. Usually, you must inform in advance and obtain permission. Do you have it?

"Ah, yes. My master said this would work." Yu Xuan retrieved his medallion from his storage ring and presented it respectfully.

This Elder was kind. He also expected other reactions too.

The Elder while reading the book, casually swept his divine sense on the medallion, then he paused reading, for the first and took a good look at Yu Xuan's face.

[A/N: Divine sense and spirit sense a just a bit different. It would be explained in further chapters.]
