A Tale of Fire and water

A week has passed since I first met Merlin, and we get together every day in the forest to help me train to awaken my power. However, nothing was happening, even though I knew I had done everything he told me to do, but to no avail.

Merlin was standing out to the side, watching me as I sat on the ground trying to meditate. After doing this for the past day, I got frustrated and said, "I think it's not working, Is there anything else we can do?"I asked, coming to a sudden halt.

"No there isn't,you first need to awaken your power for us to start training,and to meditate is the only way i think."Merlin said uncertainty.

"Whaaaat! so you don't know a way for me to awaken my powers,and I thought I could get stronger when I met you,but looks like am mistaken."I mummered in despair as I slept down the ground gazing at the beautiful sky.

"Of course I can make you stronger,but only if you are able to use your power,with this currently body of yours with no single amount of mana i can't "stated Merlin.

I sat straight, altered my miserable look, and started to meditate, "I just need to awaken my powers as soon as I can, who knows what other humans are going through now," I thought.

Time passed, and it became darker. I had tried to concentrate all day to see if I would awaken, but nothing happened, so I got up."Hey Merlin, I'll see you tomorrow," I told him as I was leaving. I couldn't stop thinking about why I couldn't awaken and ended up hitting a rock. "Outch!" I exclaimined in pain that i hurted my toe. "Don't let that matter consume your mind; I am confident you will be able to awaken if you simply continue to work harder," said Merlin. As I was perplexed as to why I couldn't awaken, but after hearing what he said, I realised I would be able to do,so i gave my self confidence

I was just curious, so I asked, "Do you have a place to stay, Merlin? You can stay at home if you don't mind." "Thanks for your concern am every greaful but am fine" he said and looked he was in good condition.

"Okey I'll see you tomorrow "I said as I left.

When I arrived home, there was silence. I searched everywhere, save the kitchen, living room, and outside, but I could not find my mother. "She rarely goes out; she usually sends me out when she wants anything," I reasoned, concerned about her whereabouts, I went off on the trail into the city, expecting to see her along the way.But I did not see her. "Maybe she might be back by now," I thought to myself as I took my way back.

When I returned home and discovered she hadn't returned, I couldn't remain calm and ran straight to the city, fearing something bad might happened to her or that she had been seized by demons.

The city was crowded with people of many races; it was night, but the demons' beams of magic light dispersed across the city made it appear to be midday; I had no idea where to start my search for my mother.

I found out during my investigation that a great number of ladies had been taken by demon troops and taken to the castle. But since coming into the city, I have not met a single human woman. I asked a random fruit vendor on the street, "Excuse me, may I have a moment with you?" since I was so enthralled, Awaiting my request, he said, "What do you want, kid?"

"Isn't it odd that since coming into the city, I've observed something? I asked "I had witnessed several women being brought inside the castle, but I hadn't seen any,do you know what's going on."

" what you didn't get the news,yesterday the demons made an announcement, saying they will host a festival ,to make the festival run smoothly he will have to capture all women and enslaved and sell them to the like of the races tomorrow inside the castle compound"

An announcement to capture all women indicates that my mother was apprehended; perhaps I wasn't present when I they made the news, and I spent nearly all of my time in the forest

training with Merlin.

I remarked angrily to the man as I walked away, "Thank you for the information. I'll be taking my leave now."

"What in the hell are the demons thinking capturing all women and put them on a market i think the demonking has now the have gone to far ,Dammit! I'll kill anyone who touches my mother."I said, looking enraged.

Despite my desire to save my mother from the demons, I am unable to do so at this time, so I went to the forest at the place we usually train to ask Merlin for help and it looked like he wasn't there and I didn't knew where he stayed."maybe tomorrow "i said taking my leave.

I returned home with a sense of melancholy, hurled myself into bed, exhausted from my long stroll, and gently closed my eyes. "Don't worry mum, I will definitely come for you," I whispered.

The sun rises and illuminates the scene. Birds trill from the treetops. I arose from my bed,I prepared my self and went to meet Merlin in the forest and save my mother before it was too late. However, he was not there. I yelled several times, "Where are you, Merlin!"

"What the hell is going on, and where could he be when I needed him most"I began to lose hope that I would not be able to save my mother.

I went into the city, and I saw a lot of different types of races including elves, dwarves, vampires, and many more. They appeared joyful because of the festival that was conducted today.
