A Student with Multiverse Chat Group

Kuoh Town.

It was the night time, there was silence all across the street, since it was too late at the night, although the street lights were on, but there was one place, where someone had different plans for tonight. A boy and a girl were standing outside the mansion which was abandoned by the owner a long time ago.

"Babe, let's do it in here" said a black haired boy while holding the hand of girl in his hand and pointing at the mansion in front of them. He had a look of a charming boy, with whom any girl might fall in love just by one glance. The girl with him wasn't average one either. She had an appearance like models in famous magazines, they were like couples made in heaven.

"But, I'm afraid of the dark. I think we should go to the motel, and also I am getting a bad feeling about this place" said girl with a skeptical look on her face, when she analyzed the place which was giving her odd vibes.

He sighed at her retort and gestured to follow him, "Mio, You've been watching so many horror movies lately that you've been making stuff in your head, be realistic. Let's head in, It'll be fun"

Trusting her partner, she followed him and went inside the abandoned mansion which was enveloped in a dead silence. The walls were corroded and there were big paintings all across the walls on hallway and the darkness wasn't a problem, since the moonlight was enough to guide them to the dead end, where there a door to the main hall of the mansion.

Girl was latched on to her partner, while he tried to reassure her that everything will be alright and there is nothing to be scared of. Soon enough, they reached the dead end, a collosal door which led to the main hall of the mansion. Using all his force, boy opened the door and instantly, the bats mob flew outwards to the sky.

Seeing this, she held tightly to his arm in fear.

Walking inside the main hall of the mansion, girl looked around and was in awe by looking at the design of house and chandelier which was so magnificient hanging in the middle at the top of roof.

Seperating himself from the girl, boy screamed at top of his lungs, "I brought the food for you, now please stop pursuing me and my family. I beg of you"

When girl heard proclammation of her lover sacrificing her, a piercing pain striked at her chest which caused her to yell at him with tears in her eyes.

"Kenji, what are you saying? This is not the time to joke" The boy named Kenji ran outside the hall, not before closing the doors and leaving her all alone to the monster, "Kenji!"

The monster roared in laughter which came out of the shadows, his appearance was enough for making her shudder. There were tentacles protruding out of his body, while he had a face of a fat bald headed individual. He had a human appearance with monster body down his waist spreaded all over the place.

"It looks like he traded your life for his family. Such a sad scene to see through my eyes, I am almost about to cry any moment" mocked monster in a sad tone, before bursting into an evil laughter while looking down at the girl in her twenties. He glared at her and said in a hateful tone, "That's what you get for dating on basis of just looks. If only you had seen the beauty of his soul, but now you will pay for it, pretty girl"

"Please let me go!" pleaded girl while walking towards the exit, but was stopped when the tentacles of the monsters covered the exit, causing her drop down to her knees.

"Let you go? Hahhahahah" Monster roared in laughter and pointed at her with one of his tentacles, "Do you think I would let him go just like that? I have already slaughtered his family and when he will return back there, he will come back running here and that's when I'll complete the streak of eating a 4 families, and with you I'll accomplish the 5th one and it will be a 5 in row, that sounds fun, don't you think? You've nowhere to escape, so just accept your fate"

Girl had already accepted her fate and closed her eyes praying to god to save her from this predicament. Just as she was expecting the filthy hands of devils feeding on her, she didn't felt anything and opened her eyes, only to see, the devil's head beheaded to her side with shocked look on his face.

*Screaammmm!*

"Could you not scream so loudly, Miss?" A male voice fell in her ears which caused her to squint her eyes to see the face of boy under the moonlight, which was falling on to his face, from one of the windows that was opened.

The boy was wearing a cap over his head with long black hairs , covering one of his eyes, wearing a red and white hoodie with black pants while holding the mobile phone in his hand. He was talking to someone on his cellphone, while holding the bloodied sword in his other hand. He had a muscular and well toned body which was hided beneath the clothes he was wearing.

"Rei?" asked girl in surprise when she got a good look of his face.

"Mio Sensei? What are you doing in here?"

"I could ask the same thing to you, and the monster, did you kill him?"

"Well, there are only two people in this place. You and me, since you were screaming in fear, only I am left who could do thi-"

"Stop twisting the words and tell me who are you?"

"I am Batm-, Ahem!, I mean I am just the regular student that goes to Kuoh. What's troubling you about it?" said boy deliberately to cover up the mess that he created.

"I mean, the monster that tried to eat me earlier. How did you kill him and above all, what are you doing here in this place?"

"Come with me, I'll tell you everything on the way" said boy walking toward the main gate, which now opened with an ease.

Both of them exited the place, while boy was walking ahead all the time to make sure that she was feeling safe. As they exited the mansion, he sat on his bike and told her to sit behind him, so that he could drop her outside her house, which was on way to his home. During the whole journey, he didn't speak a single word, and ignored every question she throwed at him, getting no reply from him, she just sighed and latched on to him, when he sped up the bike to reach early at home.

Dropping outside her house, he bid farewell to her but not before telling her to keep it a secret, not that anyone would believe her word to begin with. He gave her one last warning before starting his bike.

"Good night, Mio sensei, and also please refrain from doing those kind of 'exercises' in places like those. There might be more of them. Also please aware students in school tomorrow to not go near those places at night"

There was a blush on her face, but she nodded at him and headed straight to her appartment. Making sure that his teacher had reached her home, he went on his way to the next destination that he had in his mind.

[ Rei's POV ]

Who would have thought that I would encounter my sensei on a mission. Day by day, the missions are getting crazier and worse, their smell is getting filthier. I am about to carry a perfume bottle next time because I might pass out in the midst of battle just from their 'aroma' entering my nostrils.

It's been 18 years since I reincarnated into this world. Time flies so fast, eighteen years felt like yesterday, that feels comforting and terrifying at the same time. Why am I slaying these stray devils? Why am I in touch with Sona, one of the devil heiresses overlooking this town? Why am I doing all this?

Well that's something I keep asking myself everytime I finish the mission and notify Sona about it. Just to keep reminding myself that I am walking on a path that I chose to and with my own consent. Before joining her in a contract, I was training straight for 8 years, from the age of 10 everyday.

I learned Brazilian Jiu Jutsu, Krav Maga and kendo in a span of these 8 years, which might not be on a expert level, but I had a good grasp over them. As for the lightning ability of mine which I awakened last year, it was a quite surprise to me. I wasn't expecting to awaken a sacred gear when I started training, it was just a possibility and hope in my head, that I might possess a one.

It's a hustle to get stronger till I reach at the pinnacle of my potential and build my own realm, with a big enough harem to have a large family of my own in future. Also if I become immortal or gain a long lifespan, I'll do anything to give the same to my new family.

Because family is everything.

Soon enough I reached at the home, after going inside back and forth in my head to remind myself about my significance in this world.

"You're thirty minutes late, Rei" said the brown haired boy dressed in the night suit. He was rubbing his eyes as if he had woken up from middle of his sleep, but I was well aware that he was wide awake, just from looking at his face.

I replied to him sarcastically since I was well aware why he was the only one to be awake at this time of night, "Yeah, thanks for staying up late for me, Issei"

Out of every strange coincidence, this one hit me harder to this day of my life. Waking up in this world wasn't enough for me to go crazy, then this happened and it was just a series of coincidences that keep surprising me in life. But Issei being my little brother was a great surprise for me.

"Do you want me to reheat the food for you?" asked Issei as he walked inside the kitchen. I nodded at him and walked towards the bathroom to take a bath. The stench of that stray devil was all over me, no wonder Issei was holding his nose around me. I need to keep the perfume bottle with me, while going on mission like these.

Issei might be a perverted idiot, but he has a heart of gold that only few people possess in this grey world. I wasn't his big fan when I watched the anime, his perverted attitude towards girls was kind of off putting to me. I didn't hate him but also I didn't like him and that's my personal opinion about him.

But to me, in this life, he is like a brother and a real one, who will help me in any dire situation. Even right now, he is reheating the food for me while putting his 'video' on stop at 11:09 pm. He might be a pervert but with a kind heart.

Finishing the dinner in just few minutes, I headed straight to my room and dropped on the bed, drifting into a deep slumber.

The following day I woke up early in the morning and did a half an hour workout like usual. For me, health and wealth are the top priorities in my life. I might skip a date or an arcade session with friends, but that two will never be skipped off my checklist. Afterall, they are the only ones who will pull me out of my darkest moments in my life.

It's not like I have something against friends and girls around my age, It's just I don't trust them below their surface. And that's something I learned through a hard way in my previous life. My best friend cheated on my girlfriend when I went bankrupt, that shit hurted like hell. But thanks to my parents and sister, that I was able to recover through it and build an another successful enterprise.

Life was hard in my previous life, but nonetheless I never bitched about it and fought against whatever challenges life threw at me. After going through that heartbreak, I resolved within myself that I would rather suffer and move forward, than throw tantrums that my life is shit and I deserved better. Because life will never get alright on it's own.

Dressing up in my school uniform, I went in front of the mirror and adjusted my hairstyle. I might be a big narcissist, but I must say that I am very proud of my looks and the height that I'm blessed with. If Issei had went through the gentleman route and worked upon himself, rather than masturbating and watching porn everyday, he would have been popular among his female classmates.

But still he was able to get a harem of beautiful females, which I don't know how they fell in love with them so easily? I don't think that will be happening this time, since the logic that was missing, has been reincarnated in this world as his big brother.

Laughing at my own silly joke, I walked down the stairs to the dining table for the breakfast. Mom had already placed the sandwich for me on the table, while she was doing the last night's dishes.

"Mom, do you want me to help you?"

"No, I am almost done, Rei"

Dad and Issei were still asleep which wasn't unusual since dad has been working overtime past this week. And as for Issei, I don't even want to recall his late night 'grind', that I caught him doing when I walked upto him, asking for the charger for my laptop, left in his room.

Finishing the breakfast, I headed towards the school, but not before saying bye to mom.

"Mom, I'm leaving for the school. See ya later"

I wonder if someone wrote a book on my life in this world, would it be a hit or miss? I think it's too early to think of something like that, because I've not even turned this world upside down enough to mark my life as adventurous and interesting. Perhaps by the end, when I'll be sitting on a throne with my harem and own realm, far superior and extravagant than this one, but that's too much of a stretch right now. So I will focus on living the present moment, because that's where I am really alive.

""Good morning, Rei senpai""

The kendo girls group walked upto me, while I was entering the main building. They were dressed in their kendo uniform, probably training for the upcoming tournaments, next week. I greeted them back with a smile and headed to my classroom which is most likely filled with 2 or 3 students right now.

Well that' why I reach at the school so early in the morning, so that I could read my book in solace and without any disruption. At home, I might get the time to read, but reading in the classroom at the last desk of window side, just gives the best feeling to read.

Entering the classroom, I met with the sight of one girl who was sitting on the first desk studying something. She is one of the students who get straight A's in exams, I wonder if she enjoys the silence just like me. Reaching to my desk, I put down the bag and took out the book 'Beyond Good & Evil' and dived into it, ignoring the existence of everything around me.

Just as I opened the book to read the page, where I bookmarked, a notification sound fell in my ears and blue screen popped in front of me out of nowhere, causing my eyes to widen in surprise.

I put down my book and stared at the blue screen floating in front of me. This was something that I never expected when I reincarnated into this world. A multiverse chat group? Does that mean, the one which connects the different world's characters to each other through a chat group? I have read something about it in my previous life in one of fanfictions that I read.
