a story of a strong demon

When I (Shangshu) approach Kyotomoto, he says, "It's been a long time, Upper Rank '1' Shangshu. What's the need that you've come to meet me? I think you need my help, that's why you must have come to meet me. Otherwise, why would you come to meet me? Answer me, Shangshu."

Shangshu replies, "Yes, Kyotomoto, I need your help." Kyotomoto says, "Oh, why would a powerful demon like you need my help? When you took my Rank '1', I thought you would never need me again. But something's different today. However, I'm not going to help you unless you meet one condition. But I could consider it."

Shangshu says, "Forget your unnecessary story, Kyotomoto. These orders are from Lord Keto, and you should know what happens if you don't follow Lord Keto's orders." Kyotomoto says, "Oh, that's the case? You should have told me earlier."

Now, I (Shangshu) get to the point: "I need your help because I suspect Yochiro is trying to keep us away from the cursed village. I also think there's something very important in that village, which is why Yochiro is stopping us from going there." Kyotomoto says, "Yochiro is your lackey, so why are you suspicious of him? Do you want me to kill him?" Shangshu says, "Listen to the whole story first."

Kyotomoto says, "I'm sorry, but Shangshu, what do you suspect about him?"

Shangshu answers, "I suspect him because he first told us that the Demon King Killer isn't in the cursed village. Then, when I sent many demons there, they were all killed, and just yesterday I sent over 300 demons, and they were also found dead there."

Kyotomoto says, "So many demons killed in one night. This means Yochiro..." Shangshu replies, "Exactly, Yochiro is passing information about demons to the Demon Fighters. It's not confirmed, but I suspect that he's doing this."

Kyotomoto asks, "So, Shangshu, what do you want me to do?" Shangshu says, "I want you to keep an eye on the area outside that village to find out who is killing all those demons."

Kyotomoto says, "Why did you choose me for this job, knowing I won't do it? You could have picked another demon for this." Shangshu replies, "I chose you because I trust you, and because of your special power that can easily hide from others. You are the right person for this task." So, what do you say, Kyotomoto? Are you ready for this?"

Kyotomoto says, "No, I've already told you that I will only do this under certain conditions, if you agree, Shangshu." Shangshu replies, "Fine, tell me your conditions."

Kyotomoto says, "My first condition is that I will eat all the humans roaming outside that village. My second condition is that I will eat the Demon King Killer if I find them because eating them will make me stronger. My third condition is that once I finish the Demon King Killer, I will attack the cursed village and eat all the humans there. And my fourth and final condition is that you will have to fight me. If I win, you will have to return my rank, and if you win, I will obey your orders and whatever you say from now on. But you must accept my three conditions, even if you win."

Shangshu replies, "Fine, but I also have one condition: You will not kill the companion of the Demon King Killer, the one who wears the mask. He caused me significant damage when I tried to kill that girl. Only I will kill him." Kyotomoto agrees.

Shangshu says, "Now let's begin the fight, Kyotomoto."

The battle begins, and Shangshu keeps attacking Kyotomoto relentlessly. Kyotomoto keeps changing into new forms, but Shangshu doesn't stop attacking. When Shangshu increases his speed, Kyotomoto can't keep up and is caught. Shangshu defeats him. The battle lasts about three minutes.

After the fight, Shangshu says, "You should have known that your shape-shifting technique is useless against me." Kyotomoto realizes he couldn't win against Shangshu and knows that he'll never defeat him. But he's glad to have fought Shangshu again. As per the agreement, Kyotomoto gets ready to do his task, and they both leave.
