A Sinner's Harem Story

It was a day like any other, the day I was brought there... "A strange boy, isn't he?" A man in lab coat said to a lady, whose face was covered with a hood and was wearing a black robe.

They all were same, every last one of them, the one who teaches me pickpocketing, my acting teacher, even the torturers, everyone wear the same black hood, so that thier identify will never be known to us.

"He will be given to you, the Military once he turns 3 next week, little unfortunate failure." The man said again, appearing sad but still there was amusement in his voice.

"Let alone his body, his mind is even more impressive, you know he has 5 known split personality already, impressive is it not?"

"Is he the last one?" The women finally said, looking away from the boy with an unitrested expression.

"Last and the best," The man said pointing towards the young Evan, "Come here," he said and the young Evans did.

"You know your mission, right?"

"To serve humanity with my life,"

"Wrong again..." The man said taking a pause as he looked intensely at the boy in front of him, "Your mission to serve us..."

"I serve no one," I said, looking at the bright morning sun rise, it was a new day, and a new beginning of my journey.

"I just hopes, the days ends well too, just like how it started..." I said eating free food, free things always does taste good.

"Welcome everyone, to the yearly Gold Fishing Competition!"

The atmosphere around the riverwas great, with a bright morning sun and happy faces all around and since it was the day of festival, even people from normal households came with thier families just for enjoying the day.

"Well, there we go, all ready, let's get on," Kelvin said as both of us climed on his moderate sized boat which could carry around 10-20 people sitting.

Looking around, I saw a lot of more boats with people taking thier place, some big and some small but there was not too much of the size difference, maybe due to some kind of rule.

"How are gonna do it then, using nets?" I asked as kelvin shook his head smiled mysteriously pulling two boxes out of what looks as the boats storage compartment.

"We are gonna use these," he said throwing a box which was half my size towards me and I catched it with both of my hands.

"Get ready," He said, as he looked at the opening of the river which suddenly turned golden.

"Let the hunt BEGINS!!!!"

The announcement came just at the perfect time, maybe since announcer has years of experience doing this as at the very moment, fishes begins to pour in the river.

'What the... they are too many!' I thought as I saw the water level rising suddenly when the enter before it stabilised itself as the blue water started turning golden.

The fishes left no inch unturned as all of the river from top to bottom was flooded by them, it was a sight which you will remember for a lifetime after seeing once.

"GET READY!!"

"I heard you once!" I said, opening the box and amazed by the weapon inside.

It was something like a iron and wooden gun, but not exactly a gun, it has a circular ring on its right with ropes and on its left was another switch like thing which seemed like it could be pulled behind due to the space left there.

As the fishes reached us, I saw Kelvin shooting it pulling the trigger as an arrow launched and hooked inside the fish body as a little red appeared in the water.

"Hereee youuu gooo!" Shouted Kelvin as he pulled the left trigger behind as the rope ring started rotating backwards pulling the fish with it.

"That's 1!" He said excitedly as I too understand how to use this thing and shoot it in the river without aiming, the crowd of fish was so dense that there was no chance of missing even though I was quite good at it.

'Its heavy,' I thought, pulling the fish out of the water using the other trigger, whichw as heavier than I expected to buy well, workouts does pay off I guess.

"What the?!" I said as the fishes started pushing the boat forward just with the momentum alone making it difficult for me to keep my footing but thankfully I got the grip on the boat.

"Don't Stop!!" Kalvin said as he shouted another fish and pulled it up before throwing it in the tank behind, through they might be dead I think but who cares as I keep an eye on where the fishes were going.

Well, it was now where they are taking us.

'No time to think...' I thought before again pointing towards the river and catching another fish.

"It's just so damn fun!" I said in excitement as Kelvin too just laughed off with me as we continue to increase the fishes in the tank one after another.

It was then did I realised that the tank was some kind of special preservation tank which stop these dead fishes from decomposing till they are sold atleast.

Before I know it, it's already has been a long time since we started this and fishes has already taken our boat to some place that I haven't even been able to see even with zooming eyes.

But then, something catched my eyes, or if I have to say, there were two things that catches my eyes.

So, for a long time now actually, I have both zoom and X ray vision on, the good thing is that this is not an ability but a tech peice meaning as long as these battery, I can keep using it.

And well, I have enough battery (5 years) to last me a lifetime in this world, which is just 3 years, more than two years of difference, so yeah, I can keep using it 24/7 and have it for almost all of my time in this world.

Anyways, the first thing I saw with my eyes was a waterfall, we were heading towards a water fall and the river was so fucking wide now that around 10 of these ships could be stacked side my side.

The second thing was some unusual threes that catches my eyes, where I saw fishes moving weirdly and even a human body swimming in it.

What was weird about them was they look like a normal trees but from inside, they were filled with water and unlike the river which goes right, they move left and fishes were going and coming from there.

But the crowd of fishes was so dense that it was almost impossible to know if you don't saw it with your own eyes.

'I wonder what there is...' I thought as we neared the waterfall, as Kelvin too realised it as he take a bigger gun, twice our size and attached it to the boat before shooting it the distance at the edge of the river.

The shot lounges itself in the tree as Kelvin looked at me, "Hold tight!!" He said as the boats suddenly stopped after before it started going in an arc with the rope.

'That guy is kinda cool not gonna lie.' I thought as I gave one last look at the trees at the bottom before looking away.

Even if there is some kind of treasure, it's of no use to me as at best I can just sell it since my body is going to reject anything that belong to this universe until I have a source of this place inside me.

"That was just... something," I said taking deep breath after finally docked at the edge of the river just beside the waterfall.

It has been a long time since I did something purely with the intent of thrill and fun and I does have to say that it was time we'll spend.

"I know right, it was best time I had in a while." Kelvins said, passing me water bottle, which was just what I needed at that time.

"So, se gotta go back now?" I asked as Kelvin nods to before looking at his ship, we will get all the fishes we catched, and destroy the boat and leave.

"Wait, destroy? As in, really destroying it?"

"Yeah," Kelvin said with a chuckle, "Don't worry, this boat was more like an investment, just spending a few silvers to earn gold, beside its more difficult to take back the whole ship now that we are stick just beside a waterfall."

He said as I finally understand the ins and outs of this fishing business but just when I was about to say something like let's gets back to work, something unexpected happened.
