A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 228: The Strange Maid Work

"Is... is this what a maid's job is?"

Tohru, drenched in sweat, lay beside Shin, letting out a satisfied sigh.

As a dragon, her physique was naturally very robust—but compared to Shin, she still fell short.

Their battle ended with Shin's overwhelming victory. Tohru was almost completely drained, collapsing onto the soft bedding, not wanting to move a muscle.

"How could this possibly be a maid's job?"

Although Shin had just taught Tohru a lesson, hearing her sigh, he couldn't help but twitch his lips and mutter a complaint.

Because Tohru's dragon physique was far stronger than an ordinary person's, she could endure Shin's onslaught much longer than most.

Now, Shin glanced out the window—it was already dawn, and he could even sense "energy" moving in the hallway outside the room.

The maids of the house must have already gotten up and started their work. The maids assigned to this residence by the Shinomiya family were quite professional, even without a head maid to supervise them, they were very self-disciplined.

"Huh? This isn't a maid's job? But I thought you seemed to enjoy it just now..."

Tohru was shocked. She had seen Shin's apparent enjoyment and thought this must indeed be the work of a maid.

Isn't a maid's job to make the master feel pleased? Wasn't Shin pleased enough just now?

"Tsk... although it was enjoyable, a maid's job isn't about doing such things."

Shin shook his head, feeling somewhat troubled—in the original story, it was Kobayashi who taught Tohru about a maid's duties. That girl was a fervent maid enthusiast, so naturally, she taught her very comprehensively.

But Shin's understanding of a maid's work wasn't that extensive, which is why he let Tohru learn from the computer... only to find out that she ended up searching for doujinshi by Kashiwagi Eri.

Because the doujinshi was filled with strange lines from maid characters, Tohru developed a serious misconception about a maid's job.

Although, as a result, Shin did enjoy himself, with such bizarre common sense, Tohru clearly couldn't be a normal head maid.

So Shin stood up, dragged Tohru down, and pressed her back in front of the computer, personally searching for the actual duties of a maid.

One could only say that the Japanese internet... while not very hostile, certainly has a lot of strange content.

...

"Shin-kun, where did you go so early in the morning?"

Returning home, Shin opened the door to see Ogiwara Sayu coming out of the kitchen carrying breakfast.

Seeing Shin return, she asked curiously—after all, Shin usually slept for a solid eight hours without fail.

But today, when she woke up, Shin wasn't lying in bed, which startled her, and she almost panicked, thinking something had happened to him.

Fortunately, Shin had left a message on her phone, letting her know he had just gone out for some business, which put her mind at ease.

If Shin knew what Sayu Ogiwara was thinking, he would probably feel speechless—what danger could he possibly encounter in this everyday world?

"I went for a jog, to exercise."

Shin said without changing his expression—with his current strength, jogging naturally had little effect, but it wasn't entirely false to say it was for exercise.

After all, it was indeed vigorous activity, just not the kind of exercise most people would think of.

"Is that so?"

Sayu Ogiwara didn't doubt him. Although she knew Shin was in good shape, she actually didn't understand the extent of his strength.

After all, her knowledge of Shin's physical condition came from their time in bed.

If it were Irisviel hearing Shin's words, she would probably be puzzled—after all, she had seen Shin's strength in the Type-Moon world and would find it hard to imagine how jogging could enhance him.

But Irisviel was still asleep in bed and probably wouldn't wake up for a while.

"Shin-kun, do you have any plans for today? I was planning to pack up with Miss Iris and move to the new house you mentioned."

Seeing Shin sit down at the dining table, Sayu Ogiwara asked with a smile.

Shin had already told Sayu Ogiwara and Irisviel about the location of the new house, so naturally, Sayu Ogiwara needed to prepare for the move.

By now, she almost completely considered herself a part of Shin's household, so discussing the move came quite naturally.

"Not really any important plans."

Shin thought about it; it was the weekend, but he didn't have any appointments this time.

But just as he finished speaking, his phone rang—clearly, someone had sent him a message.

Shin took out his phone and looked at it, his expression immediately becoming somewhat peculiar.

He had just said he had no important plans, and now someone was contacting him with an invitation.

"What? Did a girl send you a date request?"

Seeing Shin's expression, Sayu Ogiwara could roughly guess what was happening, her mouth pouting slightly, seeming a bit unhappy.

But these days she had already come to accept the fact that Shin was close with many girls, so she didn't say much more.

She just secretly resolved to thoroughly exhaust his energy in bed when he returned that night.

"Indeed... but the content of the invitation might not be what you're thinking."

Shin looked at the invitation on his phone screen—the inviter was actually Eri.

Shin had thought it might be Kato Megumi or someone from the ending band, or perhaps Hayasaka Ai, but he never expected it to be Eri.

Although because Eri had once impulsively decided to observe and learn about the process of mana replenishment, the relationship between Shin and Eri had suddenly become quite strange.

But strictly speaking, Shin and Eri had known each other for a very short time, so Shin really didn't expect Eri to be the first to invite him out on the weekend.

And more importantly... Eri's reason for inviting him was also quite special.

"I'm afraid I won't be able to help you move today, but don't worry, I'll call someone very strong to help."

Shin replied to Eri, then said helplessly to Sayu Ogiwara.

As for who to call to help move... of course, it would be Tohru. As a dragon with terrifying strength, moving luggage would be a piece of cake for Tohru.

He just didn't know if Tohru would feel hostile towards Sayu Ogiwara and Irisviel upon seeing them... he remembered Tohru was the type to get jealous easily.

But it wasn't a big deal. If Tohru really threw a tantrum, he would just have to discipline her severely until she accepted it.
