Contingency Plan Ravernal is currently undergoing a rewrite as I am unhappy with where the story is at. The new version will start after the Lourian and Parpaladian arcs. Six decades ago, the gods of Akkarris gave a prophecy. The Ravernal Empire, a bloodthirsty conqueror of incredible power would invade the world they lived on and enslave every last person if nothing were to be done. Needing a powerful ally, the world's brightest minds united to create a superintelligent and self-governing artificial intelligence, guided by the god of machinery, Mekanus. It gave itself the name of Arkon, and settled on the inhospitable and barren continent of Oxanda, creating Sector Zero of the Akkarrian Contingency. After twenty-five years of preparation, the light-wings descended and the sky turned dark for a moment. A short yet violent war ensued, with the Ravernals eventually being forced to flee by both organic and machine. The victory came with a cost though, as many cities were left in ruins. Calm followed for three decades, the Contingency's vast industrial capacity lending it to be an economic power, and its airtight security letting it hold international summits between world leaders. Learning of the sorcerers' next target, the gods spoke to the pantheon of Aelna and came to the conclusion that the AI will be sent there to slay them once and for all. This new world had fantastical beasts, powerful magic and a wide variety of cultures and nations. It would have made peaceful relations with the rest of the nations, warned them about the threat and prepared alongside them for the final fight. Of course, this didn't happen. In a legendary display of Murphy's Law, the summoning process goes horrifically wrong. Vital blueprints gone, critical infrastructure shattered and its army a shadow of its former self. Arkon must now recover its power and navigate its way through this very minor wrench in its plans. How will the machine and its legions adapt to the new world? How will they change the events of history? This story is based off of Summoning Japan by Minorou, but will diverge from its plot considerably.
