There is magic, but not wizardry, so to speak, and magitech is present, but not prevalent, especially at the beginning. You will be sitting on the MC's shoulder, right next to the devil in his ear that whispers paranoia. I like to write a story with real people in them, and real people think real thoughts, not all of which are useful, intelligent, or even very nice.
