It took Gu Shaoze an hour to supply 2,500 liters of water and another hour to absorb four water-type crystal cores. After he completed his daily task, it was only 10:15 in the morning.

As he left the water reservoir area, the guards nodded at him, and one of them greeted him with a smile, "Brother Gu, you finished earlier today. Are you going to visit your girlfriend at the training ground?"

Gu Shaoze smiled and replied, "Mo'er went out on a mission, so I won't go to the training ground."

Hearing this, the guard nodded and said with a sigh, "Lately, the Base's Commander has issued a lot of missions to clear zombies and collect supplies. I hope nothing bad happens."

"Everything will be fine as long as we keep working hard," Gu Shaoze replied.

"I hope so," the guard said.

After the brief conversation, he walked over to his bicycle and rode it back to the Phantom Team's residence.

Thirty minutes later, he arrived at the residence and saw his Captain leaving the house. He rode over and greeted him, "Captain, Junior Sister, you are back."

"Senior Brother, did you just return from a mission?" Jiao Lizhi asked with a smile when she saw him.

Gu Shaoze nodded and replied, "I just came back from the water reservoir area. They are hiring water-type ability-users and paying two points per liter of water."

"I heard the water supply is barely keeping up with demand lately. If you have time, you should register at the mission hall," he added.

Jiao Lizhi nodded and said, "I will head there later."

"We are going to visit Commander Xun. You can go back and rest first," Jin Xuyan said.

Jiao Lizhi took out a bicycle from her space and said, "Senior Brother, we will divide the supplies from the past month after we return from meeting Commander Xun."

Hearing this, Gu Shaoze nodded and said, "I also need to submit my report to the Captain later."

"We will have a meeting in two hours. Help me inform everyone," Jin Xuyan said.

"Understood."

After speaking, Jin Xuyan rode the bicycle with Jiao Lizhi sitting on the back. While the two of them headed toward the Central Ring, they observed the situation around the Base.

While they were on their way, Gu Shaoze entered the house and saw an unfamiliar face. He walked over to the young man and asked, "Brother, are you a new member? You look a lot like the Captain. Are you his brother?"

Fu Guai raised his head when he heard the unfamiliar voice. He stared at him for a moment before lowering his head again and continuing to nibble on his braised duck feet.

Being ignored, Gu Shaoze wasn't upset. He simply raised his eyebrows and walked into the living room. Seeing his teammates chatting while cleaning their weapons, he asked, "Brother Qin, is that person our new member?"

Qin Luzi turned to him and replied, "His name is Fu Guai. He is our Captain's friend. He came back with the Captain and Sister-in-law this morning and will be joining us from now on."

Gu Shaoze nodded, pointed at his throat, and asked again, "Brother Qin, is something wrong with him?"

Seeing this, Qin Luzi nodded and said, "His vocal cords are damaged. It will take about a year of treatment for recovery. For now, he can't speak."

"I see," Gu Shaoze said, nodding as he took a seat on the couch. "The Captain said that there will be a meeting in two hours."

"I will inform the members," Xiao Qi said.

Not long after, Feng Yun returned from outside. As soon as he entered the house, Pei Yixie moved her gaze from her book and asked, "Brother Feng, did you get the pancakes?"

"There were only five left," Feng Yun said as he placed the package on the dining table.

Hearing this, Pei Yixie quickly ran to the table and said, "Thank you, Brother Feng."

Since joining the team, Pei Yixie no longer kept her guard up around the Phantom Team members. Unless necessary, she wouldn't use her mind-reading ability to read her teammates' thoughts. As the youngest in the team, she still had to respect her brothers' privacy.

While the team members were busy with their own tasks, Jin Xuyan and Jiao Lizhi arrived at Xun Che's office building.

They followed Wen Hanli inside, and Jiao Lizhi said, "Comrade Wen, I heard that the water supply is barely enough for the Base's daily needs. Has the Base considered using a water filtration system and recycling used water?"

"We posted a mission to acquire a water filtration system in the Mission Hall. But so far, no one has accepted it," Wen Hanli replied.

"There is still time before the second rain. My team will go out and see if we can retrieve one," Jin Xuyan said.

Hearing this, Jiao Lizhi nodded and said, "I will visit the water reservoir later and see if I can help with the supply."
