Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 139: Tomato

Ivy did not answer. Her body stayed still, her gaze distant. Silas felt something was very wrong. He waved his hand in front of her face. "Ivy, talk to me. What are you doing? Why are you in a daze like this?"

Suddenly, Ivy's eyes blinked, and she seemed to wake up again. She looked at Silas with a complicated expression. Inside her heart, she had already guessed what was happening.

She had reached the spot where her supplies would appear, yet her power refused to activate while he was watching.

It was almost like her own superpower was protecting its secret, making sure no one else could see.

That gave her a bit of relief, but it also left her with no idea how to explain. After a short pause, she forced out an excuse. "I was… thinking about practicing combat. You don't need to worry. I'm fine. You can go now."

Silas narrowed his eyes. "You're acting too strange. How can I just leave you like this? Something is clearly happening."

Ivy's heart tightened. She quickly replied, "If you don't leave, it might hurt me even more. Please, Silas, you must go."

Silas' face went pale. His mind jumped to the worst case. "What do you mean? Is someone controlling you? Is another person using their power on you?"

Ivy shook her head quickly. "No. It's… complicated. It is connected to my superpower. As long as you stay here, I won't be able to use it. That's all I can say."

Silas stared at her. He did not like the secrecy, but he could see how serious she was. Finally, he nodded. "Then I'll wait outside. I won't leave you, but I won't look either."

Ivy gave a small sigh of relief. "Yes. Just remember, if you look in my direction, I won't be able to use my power."

Silas nodded firmly and stepped back, standing a distance away with his back turned.

As soon as he left, the ground under Ivy's feet began to twitch. A faint glow spread out, and then with a soft flash, several packets appeared on the ground.

Ivy's eyes widened. She quickly bent down and stared at them. They were full of tomatoes. Red, fresh, and heavy, they looked as if they had just been picked from a farm.

Bag after bag was there, some small, some large, some filled with round tomatoes, others with long-shaped ones. There were even rare types she had never seen before.

Her hands shook as she picked one up. Above her head, a timer appeared, visible only to her. It no longer showed fifteen minutes.

Instead, it now said twenty minutes. Her heart skipped a beat. The time had increased. Her superpower really had leveled up.

Ivy hugged the first bag of tomatoes tightly. She pressed her hand on it and whispered, "Multiply later." The bag vanished from sight.

She turned to the next bag and did the same. "Multiply later." Again, it disappeared. Her heart beat faster as she realized how much she was gaining.

The third bag had bright red Roma tomatoes. They were smooth and oval, perfect for sauces. She picked them up quickly. "Multiply later." The bag vanished too.

Next was a small bag of cherry tomatoes. They looked shiny and round, almost like little candies. Ivy smiled faintly as she placed them into her storage.

Then she saw a bigger bag filled with better boy tomatoes. These were large, plump, and heavy in her arms. She repeated the same words. "Multiply later."

Another bag had san marzano tomatoes, long and rich in color. They looked like they could make the best pasta sauce. She touched them gently. "Multiply later."

After that, she found golden tomatoes, their bright color glowing in the light. They looked strange but beautiful.

She continued, one bag after another. Grape tomatoes, beefsteak tomatoes, black krim tomatoes, green zebra tomatoes. Each time, she held the bag, felt the weight of it, and let it vanish into her temporal storage.

Her storage kept swallowing the bags like it had no end. For the next few minutes, Ivy continued. The space was densely packed with tomato bags.

Kumato of 250 grams? Picked.

Campari tomato of 500 grams? Picked.

Grape Tomato of 400 grams? Picked.

Beefsteak Tomato of 200 grams? Picked.

Heirloom Tomato of 150 grams? Picked.

Early girl tomato of 200 grams? Picked.

The timer eventually ran out, and the items disappeared. Ivy, tired from all the walking, sat down and took deep breaths. After she felt better, she stood up and reached to the location where Silas was standing. His back was facing her direction yet even then Ivy was able to sense the worry.

Her heart warmed, and she called out, "Silas?"

Silas turned around when he heard Ivy call his name. His eyes were full of worry.

"How are you? Are you okay?" he asked quickly.

Ivy gave him a small smile. "I'm completely fine."

Before she could say anything else, Silas rushed forward and hugged her tightly. His arms shook a little. "Is it because of your future vision superpower?" he asked in a low voice.

Ivy froze for a second, then slowly nodded. Her feelings were mixed, and her chest felt heavy. "It's nothing. This kind of blanking out is normal with my superpower," she said calmly.

Silas pulled back just enough to look at her face. "That's dangerous. If you keep walking like this and one day lose control, what will happen then?" His voice was tight, like he was scared of the thought.

Ivy's eyes softened. She patted his arm gently. "Everything will be all right."

But Silas did not back down so easily. He shook his head. "No, Ivy. You don't know how scared I was just now. You froze, you looked gone. I thought I was going to lose you."

For a moment, Ivy could not speak. She could see the fear in his eyes. Finally, when his breathing slowed down and he started to calm, she said softly, "Now we can leave."
