Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 67: TST [67]

After Morgan's duel with Dorian, the mysterious "Witch" immediately became the talk of the town.

Not only were Duelist forums flooded with speculation about her identity, but major clubs also went into full gear, redirecting resources once used to hunt the mystery Platinum duelist into investigating her.

Footage of the match hit millions of views within a single day.

Its popularity even surpassed that of the main Duelist League matches—a rare feat for a Junior Division match, which usually played second fiddle.

"Who IS this mysterious Witch?! So many strong duelists showing up this year!"

"Right? First, the mystery duelist, and now her... could they be connected?"

"Possibly. I heard Spirit Duelist Viviana knows her, but she's declined all interviews."

"Damn! The world's moving too fast! I bet every major club is mobilizing right now."

And indeed, Morgan was once again the center of attention.

The clubs were moving—but only subtly.

After the major leak scandal, where a duelist's private data was auctioned off, the Duelist Alliance had drastically tightened information security. Not a single leak had escaped.

Clubs tried every channel but came up empty.

So their best bet was to stake out her next tournament appearance. They didn't care how shameless it looked—they would camp at the gates if they had to.

And many did. Some managers even laid out sleeping bags and tents by the venue doors.

Upon hearing this, Milo couldn't help but laugh. As someone familiar with Morgan, he knew exactly why she was so strong despite not being in a club.

The disciple of a Duel King? That said it all.

Milo had thought about inviting her to join the Haisen Club himself. Who wouldn't want to recruit such a rising star?

That said, every time he tried, Morgan would dodge the question. After several polite rejections, Milo gave up.

Why would someone trained by a Duel King even need a club?

He understood that now.

So he told his club not to push the issue. If they tried too hard, they'd lose even their friendship.

Instead, Milo focused all his attention on their next match.

Their upcoming opponent was formidable—Red Dragon Club, known for its Dragon Decks. Yet, Milo was confident.

What worried him more was the match after that… against a strange new team.

All its members wore black uniforms and helmets that obscured their faces. No one knew what they looked like.

However, Milo highly suspected they were Shadow Duelists.

He had no proof, but the aura they gave off—the tension, the cold, piercing gazes—matched the ones he'd felt years ago.

They had to be.

But how had they passed the background checks? There must be Shadow Duelist moles within the Duelist Alliance.

He needed to report this to the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Milo closed his eyes and calmed his nerves.

Whatever their goal was, his mission was clear: Defeat them in a proper duel, force them off the stage, and minimize the damage.

With that thought, he opened a replay of their previous match and continued analyzing footage.

Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that the female Shadow Duelist looked... familiar.

...

The next day, match day arrived.

The arena was surrounded by tents and crowds. Club managers had been up before dawn, ready to pounce the moment Morgan arrived.

Contracts and ink pads were in their pockets; They figured if they could get just five seconds with her, the deal would be done.

Now, with the tournament minutes from starting and spectators streaming in, the managers were growing nervous.

Everyone had arrived.

Except Morgan.

Did she forfeit?

Impossible… not for an event this important!

They were in a panic, but had no alternatives. If they could find her, they wouldn't be camping out here in the first place.

Just then, a luxury car slowly pulled into the venue lot.

"Good thing I picked you up. With this crowd, I doubt they'd even let you in without a signature."

Viviana, hands on the wheel, smirked. She had happened to see Morgan walking on the roadside and offered her a ride.

"Hehe, thanks, Viviana."

Morgan smiled and gently touched her right arm. The dragon mark on her forearm had gained another sigil.

She had leveled up her Dragon Signer Talent again—in record time.
