Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 33: TST [33]

As the crowd gasped in awe, Morgan's combo wasn't over yet. She spoke in a firm voice:

"After activating this effect, [Alpha, the Master of Beasts] cannot attack directly for the rest of the turn."

Hearing that, Mr. Grant finally snapped out of his daze.

However, Alpha not being able to attack directly didn't mean other monsters couldn't—More importantly, Morgan hadn't used her Normal Summon this turn yet.

"I Normal Summon [Rescue Cat] in Attack Position!"

[Rescue Cat] Level 4│EARTH│Beast│300 ATK

A kitten in a yellow safety helmet appeared on the field, instantly winning over most of the girls in the audience.

But don't be fooled by its cuteness—

"I activate the effect of [Rescue Cat]!"

"Send this card from the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon 2 Level 3 or lower Beast monsters from the Deck."

As Morgan finished speaking, her Duel Disk was already searching through her Deck. She swiftly drew two cards and placed them in the Monster Zones.

"I Special Summon [Melffy Wally] and [Melffy Pinny]!"

Two adorable critters appeared on the field. Morgan's intention, of course, was to perform an Xyz Summon. Despite their low stats, a chance to attack directly wasn't to be missed.

"I overlay these two monsters to build the Overlay Network!"

"I Xyz Summon [Joyous Melffys]!"

The two small animals turned into golden light and flew into a swirling data vortex. Then, more little creatures rained down like a zoo brought to life.

"Wow! So many animals! I feel so happy just watching this!"

"Honestly, even if this deck isn't competitive, I'm definitely collecting a full set!"

"Mr. Grant's field is empty now. All Morgan has to do is attack directly!"

"But Mr. Grant hasn't taken any damage yet. It won't be game this turn. I guess it depends on what he draws next!"

Morgan, of course, knew this turn wouldn't finish him off. Yet, it didn't matter. No matter what Mr. Grant drew next, it wouldn't change her victory.

Morgan glanced down at the Melffy Trap Card in her hand and smiled.

The next moment, she declared her attack.

"Battle! [Joyous Melffys], direct attack!"

At the command, the little animals dropped their food and bounced toward Mr. Grant. Their fluffy bodies hit him like snowballs, dealing 2000 points of damage.

Yet the strongest monster, Alpha, remained still.

Having just activated its effect, it couldn't attack directly until the next turn.

"I Set one card and end my turn."

Morgan smiled as she spoke. The Set card was [Melffy Playhouse], which could bounce cards from the opponent's field by detaching Xyz Materials.

She wasn't sure she'd need it, but she set it just in case Mr. Grant pulled off a miracle draw.

As Morgan ended her turn, everyone's attention shifted back to Mr. Grant.

After all, this draw would decide the outcome of the duel.

"M-My turn..."

With trembling hands, Mr. Grant reached for the top of his deck. The pressure was overwhelming, nearly breaking him.

He took a deep breath, trying to encourage himself. He'd been in tough situations before. In moments like this, a duelist's only choice was to trust their deck...

'…My deck?'

Mr. Grant looked down. Only then did he realize that the cards in his Duel Disk weren't the deck he'd fought with for years…

It wasn't the one full of bonds and memories.

This was a new deck he'd acquired recently, chasing power. Could he truly place his trust in such a deck?

Mr. Grant hesitated...

Regardless, now, he had no choice!

Clenching his teeth, he drew a card with force.

After a moment's pause, he opened his eyes and looked at the card's face. His heart turned cold. Despair flooded his face.

He had drawn an Equip Spell: [Ancient Gear Fist].

With no monsters on the field, this card was completely useless.

The crowd didn't know what he drew, but judging from his expression, they already had the answer.

"M-My turn... ends here..."

Then, after a few direct attacks from Morgan, Mr. Grant's Life Points dropped to zero.

The special duel had come to an end.

Thunderous cheers erupted across the arena—not just for Morgan, but for the incredible duel itself.

It took a while for the cheering to die down.

Mr. Grant stood up dazed. His gaze toward Morgan carried a deeper meaning now.

"Congratulations. You win."

He added bluntly, "The principal will revoke your expulsion. No way he'd let such an outstanding student go."

On the stage, the principal was still wiping sweat from his brow. Hearing Mr. Grant, he hurriedly nodded.

Abruptly. Mr. Grant shifted his tone, his gaze sharp:

"I don't mind losing. But I'm curious... Where did you get that mecha monster from? Even the top-tier clubs wouldn't hand over such a powerful card to a kid."

He looked meaningfully toward Milo.

The crowd was intrigued, too, eyes full of curiosity as they turned to Morgan.

Morgan stayed silent for a moment, then lifted her head with an innocent, syrupy voice, her smile radiant, and said in a childish tone:

"A big brother with colorful torch hair gave it to me when I was in the hospital."
