Yu-Gi-Oh!: Transformed into a Girl, Starting with Trickstar

Chapter 109: TST [109]

"I activate the effect of Karakuri Merchant mdl 177 'Inashichi'!"

"When this card is Normal Summoned, I can add 1 'Karakuri' card from my Deck to my hand."

Charles drew a card from his Deck and added it to his hand. Since he was using his signature Deck, even against a student he wouldn't hold back. Now was the time to show these naive students the harshness of the senior division.

Looking at the card he'd just added, Charles thought for a moment, his expression still stern.

"I add the Continuous Spell Karakuri Anatomy to my hand!"

This card gained a counter each time a Karakuri monster on the field changed its battle position. When it reached its limit, it could be sent to the Graveyard to draw cards equal to its counters.

It was one of his ways to replenish resources.

"I activate the Continuous Spell—Karakuri Anatomy!"

A long scroll filled with diagrams appeared before him.

"Next, I activate the effect of Karakuri Bonze mdl 9763 'Kunamzan' from my hand!"

"If this card is in my hand, I can target 1 'Karakuri' monster I control, change its battle position, and Special Summon this card as a Tuner!"

Hearing the Strategist's effect, Isla tensed in the stands. She knew little about this Deck—only that it was a Synchro Deck involving position changes.

If the monster he was summoning could be treated as a Tuner, then he was certain to Synchro Summon this turn.

One duel had drawn such a large crowd—Charles's skill had to be formidable.

She also recalled the teachers saying his Deck had strong control power…

Isla worried for Morgan—challenging the Director was too reckless. There had to be a better solution.

The most nervous person was, of course, Jade. This had all started because of her. If she failed alone, it would be one thing… but she'd dragged Morgan, who could have easily advanced, down with her.

She didn't know how to make it up to her. Maybe she could just give herself as a gift, climb into Morgan's bed, and be her hot water bottle…

Rowe gave the daydreaming Jade a deadpan look. Clearly, she wasn't reflecting at all.

Turning back to the arena, Rowe had to admit Morgan's decision was rash. Senior division teachers were all top-tier duelists, and the Director was among the best of them. This would be a grueling match.

On the field, Charles continued his combo.

Due to the Strategist's effect, the Merchant switched to Defense Position, then the Strategist appeared and became a Tuner.

"I tune Karakuri Bonze mdl 9763 'Kunamzan' with Karakuri Merchant mdl 177 'Inashichi'!"

"Synchro Summon! Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 'Burei'!"

The Strategist transformed into a halo of data that merged with the Merchant's stars, and in a flash of light, a massive figure appeared.

A humanoid sat motionless on the field, clad in black armor and holding a crimson war fan, exuding the air of a battlefield commander.

The crowd gasped.

"There it is! One of the Director's aces!"

"It can change the opponent's battle positions at will, opening the chance for massive damage!"

"It's been so long since I've seen this card—thanks to this student, I get to enjoy it again."

Morgan paid the comments no mind. To her, the monster felt outdated. In her past life, Karakuri's boss monster had been Bureibu, with card-destroying effects.

Burei was just a stepping stone, useful only for its on-Synchro effect to Special Summon.

Burei's effect activated immediately as part of Charles's chain.

"When this card is Synchro Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 'Karakuri' monster from my Deck."

"I Special Summon Karakuri Komachi mdl 224 'Ninishi'!"

A green-robed mechanical woman appeared, trying hard to pass as human—but the three eyes on her face were unsettling.

This card was also a Tuner.

"Next, I activate the Spell Card Karakuri Gama Oil from my hand!"

"Special Summon 1 'Karakuri' monster from my Graveyard, then equip this card to it!"

"I Special Summon Karakuri Bonze mdl 9763 'Kunamzan' from my Graveyard!"

The Strategist returned, but as it wasn't Special Summoned by its own effect, it didn't become a Tuner.

With no delay, Charles used Burei's effect to change Ninishi's position, maxing out Karakuri Anatomy's counters.

"I send Karakuri Anatomy to the Graveyard and draw two cards!"

The scroll vanished, and Charles's hand refilled to five. The resource gain drew murmurs from the crowd.

"Next, I tune Karakuri Komachi mdl 224 'Ninishi' with Karakuri Bonze mdl 9763 'Kunamzan'!"

"Synchro Summon! Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X 'Bureido'!"

An even larger general appeared, wielding twin blades and clad in barbed armor, radiating even greater battle prowess than Burei.

Summoning two Synchro Monsters in one turn left the crowd awestruck—and sympathetic toward Morgan. Facing a teacher of this caliber was daunting for any student.

As Bureido, the upgraded form, it too could Special Summon from the Deck.

"I activate Bureido's effect!"

"When Synchro Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 'Karakuri' monster from my Deck!"

"I Special Summon Karakuri Muso mdl 818 'Haipa'!"

A mechanical warrior monk appeared, wielding a triple-bladed spear.

"I Set three cards and end my turn!"

Charles had not only summoned two powerful Synchros but also set up a strong backrow. His precision and caution were suffocating—seemingly without a single mistake.

Hannah, now leaning on the railing with her chin in her hand and her body arched alluringly, studied Morgan thoughtfully.

Meeting Morgan here was sheer coincidence—she'd been too busy studying to track her.

She hoped Morgan could beat Charles—then senior division life wouldn't be boring.

Facing Charles's field, Morgan showed no fear.

This time, she'd use HEROes for a dazzling counterattack. Placing her slender fingers atop her Deck, she smiled.

"My turn—draw!"
