Yu-gi-oh! Duelist Showdown!

Previously, on Yu-gi-oh Duelist Showdown! Luna said, "Well, well, well. Aren't you those three I saw dueling at the pizza place?" Joseph said, "That would be us. Who are you?" Luna said, "Name's Luna Roar, and I want to duel you." Nick said, "I play Tyler, the Palace Guard (1500/1200), in Attack Mode. Destroy Gazelle!" Luna said, "You activated my trap card, Dimensional Rift Maker. This trap activates when you declare an attack and then banishes the attacking monster. Now, my Mystic Horseman and my Gazelle will attack you directly!" Then Mystic Horseman attacked Nick directly, and he lost 1300 Life Points, bringing him down to 6700. Then Gazelle attacked Nick directly, and Nick screamed when he did. Then Nick lost 1800 Life Points, bringing him down to 4900. Nick said, "I summon Rachel, the Dark Soldier (1400/1200) in Attack Mode. Attack Luna directly!" Luna said, "I reveal Scapegoat!" Nick said, "Oh man, how am I going to get to her Life Points with three Scapegoats on the field?" Luna said, "You can't. And that's my whole plan."

Nick became mad and said, "Katie, come out of your cottage and attack Scapegoat #2!." Then Katie, the Witch of The Dark Woods, came out of her cottage and destroyed Luna's next scapegoat token. Nick said, "Now she'll return to her cottage, so you can't attack her. That ends my turn." Luna drew Howl of the Wild from her deck and said, "I lay 1 card face down, and I'll play one monster in defense mode. That ends my turn." Nick drew Tristian, The Palace Guard, and said, "I summon Tristian, The Palace Guard (1350/1550), and thanks to the town square field power bonus, he gets a power boost." Then Tristian's power rose from 1350/1550 to 1755/2015. Destroy her defense card." Then Tristian, The Palace Guard, destroyed Luna's Enraged Battle Ox. Now, Katie, come out and beat Scapegoat #3. And Rachel, The Dark Soldier, wipe out her last Scapegoat." Then Katie, the Witch of the Dark Woods, destroyed Scapegoat #3, and Rachel, the Dark Soldier, beat Luna's last Scapegoat. Nick said, "This time, I'll keep Katie on the field instead of hiding in her cottage." Luna drew Horn of the Unicorn and said, "I summon Gyaku-Gire Panda (800/1600), who gets 500 points for every monster you have on the field." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda's power rose from 800 to 2300. Luna said, "Next, I'll play Horn of the Unicorn to power him up further." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda's power rose from 2300 to 3000. Luna said, "Now, destroy Katie, the Witch of the Dark Woods." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda destroyed Katie, the Witch of the Dark Woods, and Nick lost 750 Life Points, bringing him down to 4150. Then, Gyaku-Gire Panda's power dropped from 3000 to 2500. Luna said, "Now I reveal Howl of the Wild. Since my panda just destroyed your Witch, you'll lose 300 points for every beast-type monster I have on the field." Then Nick gasped and lost 300 more Life Points, bringing him down to 3850. Joseph said, "She certainly is good." Frank said, "Yes, I can see how she made it to the finals in the last tournament." Nick said, "Guess I'll just have to pull a winner from my deck." Nick drew White Castle of Goodness from his deck and said, "I sacrifice my Palace Guard to summon Princess Karen (2100/2250) to the field. And she gets a power boost from the town square." Then Princess Karen's power rose from 2100/2250 to 2730/2925. Nick said, "Send her panda back to the zoo." Princess Karen destroyed Gyaku-Gire Panda, and Luna lost 230 Life Points, bringing her to 7120. Now Rachel, attack her Life Points directly." Then Rachel the Dark Soldier attacked Luna directly, and she lost 1820 Life Points, bringing her down to 5300. Nick said, "I'll end my turn." Luna drew Reinforce Truth from her deck and said, "I'll pass this turn." Nick said, "With no cards in play, you're wide open." Nick drew Princess Heather from his deck and said, "I summon Talking Crow (750/250). Now, all three of my monsters will attack you directly." Rachel, the Dark Soldier, attacked Luna directly, and she lost 1820 Life Points, bringing her down to 3480. Then Princess Karen attacked Luna, losing 2730 Life Points, bringing her down to 750. Then Talking Crow attacked Luna directly, and she lost 750 Life Points, bringing her down to 0. Nick said, "Game over."

Once the duel was over, Luna gave Nick two coins and walked away in defeat. Luna thought, "I may have lost 2 of my coins, leaving me with 6, but I plan to get to the finals, even if I have to duel every day before them." After the duel, Joseph, Frank, and Nick set out into the city, hoping to find Joseph a match and planning to have fun with each other. They went to the arcade first and played video games against the other duelists who broke from the tournament to have fun. Joseph played Dance Revolution on a stage against another duelist, Frank played Pacman, and Nick played pinball. When they finished, they saw a dueling arena in the center of the arcade. They watched the duel and saw a ten-year-old girl against a ten-year-old boy. The girl has 350 Life Points, and the boy has 800. The girl drew her card and said, "I play Gyaku-Gire Panda (800/1600)." Nick said, "That's the card Luna used on me."

Nick then had a flashback about it. Luna said, "I summon Gyaku-Gire Panda (800/1600), who gets 500 points for every monster you have on the field." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda's power rose from 800 to 2300. Luna said, "Next, I'll play Horn of the Unicorn to power him up further." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda's power rose from 2300 to 3000. Luna said, "Now, destroy Katie, the Witch of the Dark Woods." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda destroyed Katie, the Witch of the Dark Woods, and Nick lost 750 Life Points, bringing him down to 4150. Then, Gyaku-Gire Panda's power dropped from 3000 to 2500. Luna said, "Now I reveal Howl of the Wild. Since my panda just destroyed your Witch, you'll lose 300 points for every beast-type monster I have on the field." Then Nick gasped and lost 300 more Life Points, bringing him down to 3850.

Once the flashback was over, he watched the duel with his friends. The girl said, "And he gets 500 points for every monster you have on the field." Then Gyaku-Gire Panda's power rose from 800 to 3300. Frank said, "Now it's got over 3000 attack points." Joseph said, "That boy is a goner." Nick said, "What about his two face-down cards? Maybe they're traps." The girl said, "And just so you don't try any funny business, I'll play Heavy Storm to destroy all magic and trap cards in play. The girl said, "Ok, Gyaku-Gire Panda, destroy his Dark Magician with kung pao paw." Then, the boy lost 800 Life Points, bringing him down to 0. The boy gave the girl the coins he wagered, giving her 8. Joseph said, "That was fun to watch, but we must find a real duel. That arena got built so people can practice their dueling and figure out what's wrong with their decks so they can improve them." Frank said, "It was also built for the tournament in case anyone wanted to duel here. Joseph, why not you give it a try?" Joseph said, "Me?" Frank said, "Yes, and I'll have Nick pick out your opponent." Joseph said, "Fine." Joseph stepped into the blue part of the arena and saw his opponent in the red part. Nick said, "Joseph, meet Sally Wilmington. The perfect opponent for you. As for her deck. Just wait and see."
