Yu-gi-oh! Duelist Showdown!

Previously, on Yu-gi-oh Duelist Showdown! Joseph said, "I play Fusion Gate. Now I fuse The Masked Avenger with Toronado, allowing me to summon The Masked Horse Rider (2700/2800). Ralph said, "I lay 1 card face down. Next, I'll activate your Fusion Gate to fuse my Dark Magician with my Buster Blader to summon Dark Paladin (2900/2400)." Joseph showed Ralph his Waterfall Drop card and activated it. Joseph said, "I summon Jenny, The Queen's Guard (1400/1500) in Attack Mode. And with nothing to protect you, you're in for a direct attack. Queen's Guard, attack!" Joseph then attacked Ralph directly, and he lost 1400 Life Points, bringing him down to 0.

The next day, Joseph hugged his mom and dad to say goodbye. Then he grabbed his backpack with his dueling equipment, put on his hat and bag, and left. Joseph then got on the bus, taking him to where the tournament was taking place. While on the bus, Joseph saw some other passengers dueling for fun. He also saw some passengers trading cards to improve their decks. Joseph even recognized some of the duelists on the bus. Joseph said, "There's Clyde. I already beat him." Joseph pointed at another duelist and said, "That must be Jake Lexington. The techno duelist." Joseph looked at another duelist and said, "There's Bella Butterfly. The insect duelist." Joseph looked at another duelist and said, "And there is Esther, the Mind Reader. Her deck is full of psychic cards. And she passes herself off as one herself."

Two boys named Frank and Nick walked up to Joseph. Frank said, "I see you know your duelists." Joseph said, "Yep." Joseph reached out his hand and said, "Joseph Yusef." Frank shook Joseph's hand and said, "Frank Rogers." Nick then shook Joseph's hand and said, "Nick Smith." Joseph said, "Nice to meet you. What do you say we back each other up in this tournament? Maybe all three of us can make it to the finals." Frank said, "Well, we have a chance with the support." Nick said, "This should be fun."

Once they arrived at the city, Joseph, Frank, and Nick got off the bus and waited for the tournament to start. All the duelists looked around but didn't see Jenn anywhere. Joseph said, "Weird. It's not like the host of a tournament not to show up on the day of the tournament." They then started to hear Jenn's voice coming from their arms. The duelists lifted their arms, and a video message appeared from their duel disks. Jenn said, "Welcome, Duelists, to the Decision City Tournament. I'm sure you all know the rules of your duel armor. But before the tournament begins, you need to know a few rules. Before the battle, you must wager the coins you got in your packages when invited. Twenty-four will get you to the finals. And the winner of the finals will get the honor of dueling me in the final round. Win, and they become the champion. Lose, and I'll become champion since I defeated the one who beat everyone else. Once your duel begins, you have a choice to make. You either start with 4000 Life Points, but your duel armor won't work if you choose that. You can activate your duel armor if you start with 8000 Life Points. But if you merge with one of your monsters, you have a choice. You either attack yourself, and then your other monsters can't attack, or your other monsters attack, and you don't. And if your armor gets destroyed, you'll lose Life Points equal to how many points the monster you merged with had. Good luck, and have fun."

Once the duels started, Joseph, Frank, and Nick went to find their first match. While they were searching, someone tripped Frank. Then Joseph and Nick helped him up and saw who had tripped him. Joseph said, "Jake Lexington?" Jake said, "That's right. Now, which of you three has the honor of dueling me?" Frank said, "I'll take you. All or nothing for tripping me." Jake said, "You're on." Frank and Jake brought out their werewolf and vampire coins and threw them onto the field. Joseph said, "Are you crazy? This guy is a four-star champ and almost won Jenn's last tournament." Frank and Jake both activated their duel disks and armor. Then their Life Points started at 8000, and they began the duel. Jake drew Short Circuit, Heavy Storm, Clockwork Night, Oni Tant T-34, and Giga-Tech Wolf. Frank drew Rise of The Super Crew, Monster Maker, Cryogenic Chamber, The Eye of the Dragon, and Heat Sensing Vision.

Jake drew Malfunction from his deck and said, "I summon Oni Tank T-34 (1400/1700) in Attack Mode. That ends my turn." Frank drew Denise, The Secret Identity of Super Hunter, and said, "I play Rise of The Super Crew. This magic card allows me to summon each member of The Super Crew. Meet the super villains known as Lancer (1650/1600), The Archer (1600/1600), Serpent (1800/1750), and Cordelia (1950/1950). Now, I'll lay two cards face down and have all my monsters attack you simultaneously. First, Lancer will transform into his dragon form and get stronger." Then, Lancer's power raised from 1650/1600 to 1850/1650. Frank said, "Whenever Lancer attacks, he automatically transforms into Lancer, the Dragon (1850/1650). And he changes back to Super Villain, Lancer (1650/1600), when he returns to my side of the field. Now, attack his tank." Lancer then destroyed Jake's tank, and Jake lost 450 Life Points, bringing him down to 7550. Frank said, "Now, my other monsters will attack you directly. The Archer, Serpent, and Cordelia attacked Jake directly, and he lost 5350 Life Points, bringing him down to 2200. Joseph and Nick then clapped for Frank. Jake said, "If we were playing with 4000 Life Points, a move like that could win the match in one turn, but luckily, I still have a few Life Points left, and it's my turn. Jake drew Metalzoa from his deck and said, "I play Clockwork Night and transform all your monsters into Machine Monsters. Next, I play Heavy Storm to blow away your two face-down cards." Frank shouted, "True, but it also blows away Clockwork Night and changes my monsters back." Jake said, "Finally, I play a monster in defense mode and end my turn." Frank said, "This was almost too easy." Frank drew Super Villain, Candy's Guitar, from his deck and said, "Lancer, attack his defense card." Super Villain, Lancer changed into Lancer, the Dragon, destroyed Jake's defense card, and saw it was Giga-Tech Wolf (1200/1400). Frank said, "Now, Archer and Serpent, attack his Life Points and finish him!" The Super Villain, The Archer, and Super Villain, The Serpent, attacked Jake directly, and he lost 3400 Life Points, bringing him down to 0. Frank said, "That was too easy."

Frank then collected Jake's two coins and disqualified him from the tournament. Jake said, "No, I want a re-match." Frank said, "Sorry, Jake, but you need coins to duel anyone here, and you just lost yours. I beat you fair and square." Joseph, Frank, and Nick then left, and Jake returned to the bus to go home.
